I located the following Actionscript 3.0 Class which performs the task of horizontally scrolling a picture in a continuous loop. Once it reaches the end of the picture, it then immediately starts over from the beginning of the picture. I am interested in making it so the picture fades in, scroll horizontally and then when it reachs the end of the picture, it fades out... It would then fade back in after a period of time and begin the process again of scrolling horizontally... Continuous loop. adding those features to this Actionscript 3.0 Class?

I'm using the following code to load external swfs over each other.
At the moment the time between each image is the same - 10 seconds. I'm trying to work out how to change the time so the first image loads, waits for 5 seconds, loads the second which waits 10 seconds before loading the third swf.[code]...

I have got one movieclip in the scene. I want to play them in loop when my_mc fade-out it must starts to fade in and vice-versa. I want to play them in loop. The fade out function first works fine. But how to load fade-in after fade-out?

I've got a weird problem that could probably be easily fixed if I weren't such a novice coder. I'm loading external jpegs into movie clips that are within a movie clip which is within another movie clip (because they are animated as a whole within the other movie clips). The XML loads fine. The "Image" class I've made up is defined. The attributes from the XML load into the array of images.
However, I can't loop through the movieclips to actually load the images. But if I define manually the movie clip loads it loads perfectly. Here is the code that loads the images successfully, but not 100% dynamically:

I have a tweened movie which plays on a loop. A click on the image area stops the movie and the image fades nicely from alpha 100 to alpha 0. A second click brings the image back immediately to alpha 100 and the clip continues. I would like the movie image to fade back in from alpha0 to alpha 100 before it re-starts; (the reverse of the fade out). At the moment the re-appearence of the image is a crude jump. So far my ill informed tinkering has not worked.

A while ago pom helped me with some script to make a picture fade into the distance. This is the script he gave me

After seeing "dansflash2001" last weeks site of the week, it got me wondering how did he achieve his button effect. When you clicked on one of his buildings the whole site faded into a miniture version. Then when the small version was clicked it reappeared in it's normal state. I'm probably a mile of with the code pom gave me as it wasn't made for that effect anyway. Does anyone know how to achieve the effect Dan used?

I simply have one FLVPlayback component in the background and a movieclip on the layer above with an FLVPlayback component inside it. The first FLV component is constantly looping a five-second video. So all I need is for the movieclip containing the second FLV component to load the right file, fade in, and when the video ends, fade out. Absolutely all of that works... apart from the fading in. What I noticed was that my movieclip was fading in correctly, but the FLVPlayback component was empty and transparent until the fade had finished - then it played the clip. As you see from the code above I have a loop that loads images on each pass using the same loader. This works, however, it is looping too quick (I believe) and as such the "addBook" function that handles pushing these into an array is pushing them into the array in the wrong order. Two questions: (1) Am I approaching this incorrectly? (2) If not, is there a way to listen to the loader event so the loop proceeds only after the load of that image is complete?

In my photo gallery, I have an array of images that load sequentially using 'next' / 'prev' buttons. The code fades out the current swf, recognises when the new external swf has fully loaded, then fades in:

Is it possible to load an image (preferably jpg) from a binary array? The reason I ask is because I'm loading the images dynamically through SOAP webservices so I get a byte representation of the jpeg image. I can't run the loadMovie method to point to an image URL because it doesn't exist. Can it be loaded somehow using the bitmap classes?
I'll have to make a page that will stream out the jpg dynamically from the website, but I'd prefer to keep it all on the webservices end if possible.

I'm would like to use the UILoader to randomly load an image from an array according to the day of the week. The attached FLA file is in AS2, it is exactly what I would like to do but now in AS3. I've been able to successfully trace the date using:

In AS2 I used this the loadMovie function to randomly display SWF's in the movieClip. From what I can tell loadMovie is not an option in AS3 making me think that using the UILoader may be a good solution.This is what my code looks like in AS2 (also attached the FLA file):

I want to make a picture gallery and use buttons that move you from picture to picture and backwards, but I don't want to tell button 1 to go to frame 2 and button 2 to got to frame 3 and so on (I hope you know what I mean)Can I use on button on a separate layer with the same action set?
