ActionScript 3.0 :: Move Object Along With Percent Loaded?
Aug 15, 2011
I've created a preloader in which an object moves along a curve. I want this object to move as the percentage increases, much like a loading bar would increase as the percent loaded goes up. right now my object moves over 3 seconds and not percentage.[code]...
I have the following script for my preLoader (see below).Its a simple preLoader with a loading bar that goes from left to right with a percent read out.What I want is the percent text box to move along the _x with the load bar, so when the load bar is at 100% the percent text box is just above.
myInterval = setInterval(preloader, 10); function preloader() { if (_root.getBytesLoaded()>=_root.getBytesTotal()) {[code].........
Is there a way to make a if statement that only loads like 20% then it plays. I always used things that wait for the whole movie to be loaded. I just want to give a head start of 20% to the movie.
For my FLVPlayBack player, I want a "% loaded" message before the video begins, which counts upwards.This wouldn't be a problem if this was just the usual bytesTotal/bytesLoaded calculation, but this is a progressive video that plays with playWhenEnoughDownloaded(). In other words, I'm not counting up to when the entire video has loaded, but to when the video is going to start, based on playWhenEnoughDownloaded().
I`m making a preloader and everything seems to go ok, except that i want to show how much percent of the movie`s been loaded (basing on the Bytes not the frames), but i havent find the way to do it
Note; i made 200 layers, each two has a number from 0 to 1oo,and the actions to check and if not yet go back and check again. An if statement that goes like this
loadpercent = getBytesLoaded()/getBytesTotal()*100; if (loadpercent != 1) { gotoAndPlay(2); //on this frame is an action to go back and check//
im trying to make a pre-loader, that based on the percent loaded, displays text. So at 5% it says "loading" and at 10% "still loading" , etc. Im guessing there is a way to say percenttotal=5, entertext=still loading target=instancenameoftextbox I've gotten the loader tutorial on the site here to work, i just want to add this to it.
I want to achieve the effect on [URL]. The effect on the left on the about page in which when the mouse moves over the alpha of the object goes to 0%. I have all the layers set up with masks and all but need the action script. I tried applying the following code to a mask which I converted to a movieclip.
on(rollover){ this._alpha--; } But this did not work for some reason.
I am trying to move an object across the stage while my preloader is going. (i want two fists to meet when the preloader hits 100%). i am not very good with AS but i have tried things such as this.fist1_mc._x = percent + 100; but i am just taking shots in the dark at this point.
how to do an object move towards the mouse when i move the mouse the towards the object and backwards when i move the move away, something liike the menu on [URL]
I know this is very noob, but I need a simple AS move and loop. Move an object across the stage and once out of site, loop and start over again? It needs to be a slow and endless loop.
I can make a normal preloader, with a bar and percent shown and so on... But I want to make a little thing in the middle of the preloader that rotates faster and faster when the percent loaded goes up. This is what I thought would work:
I am trying to move a 'Shape' object across the screen. As the object moves, a copy is being left at the initial position. Almost as if only an instance of original object ahs been moved
This is not an issue for moving an image or MXML graphic. Is something wrong in setting to the move object?
The code is as follows
private var arrow:UIComponent; private function resetAssets():void{ arrow = new UIComponent();
I'm still new to AS3, and I was wondering how to make an object point in the direction of another object and move towards it if they are a certain distance from one another. I haven't been able to find out how to do this from the Adobe devnet, so I thought I'd ask here.
I am having a major problem trying to move an object to another object with a set speed I want object1 to move towards object2 for collision. Right now I control object2 with my keyboard and I want the script to tell object1 to move towards object2.
I have loaded a movie clip (300X300px) (level 1). Everything OK. By default it comes at the top left corner of main flash. How to make it movable by cursor to any other place.
as a part of a bigger project, I'm trying to figure out how a loaded picture can be moved across stage... AND looking smoothly while moving so far, all my tests have ended up looking not very smooth at all!check out my tests here
heres my code: Code: Select allimport caurina.transitions.Tweener; var _image:Bitmap;
[code]...
the third picture - the first to be moved - is a picture embedded inside a MovieClip already placed on stage.the second picture - the next to be moved - is a picture loaded into a Loader and then the Loader is placed on stage.the first picture - the last to be moved - ia a picture loaded into a Loader. then the content of the Loader is put into a bitmap, and then the bitmap is placed on stage.
I have loaded 11 pictures through an array and a loop and then tweenlite'd them so them come on the screen from the right and move across 'til the middle picture is in the middle of the screen.Now, I am trying to figure out how to make it so I can move them to the right or left by a press of a button, (bntLeft and btnRight).Three pictures show on the screen at one time. So if btnRight is clicked then the 3 pictures which are off the screen to the right would come on and center in the screen. And if btnRight was clicked again then the pictures would move to the left and the last picture would come on.I don't know if that is going to make sense to anyone but me so I have created a picture to show what I mean.
I'm trying to make a simple animated movieclip act as a preloader for a larger website, and have its play reflect the percentage that has been loaded. I've seen a lot of code for various preloaders that involve text or a movieclip being scaled, but not anything regarding controlling the playhead of a movieclip.
This is what I thought would work. PreLoaderMC is the class name of a MovieClip symbol in the .fla's library. I've omitted the Loader stuff [code]...
I'm trying to figure out how to make a dynamically loaded image actually move across my screes. So far, my script loads the image, but stops after 1 frame. Without the loaded image everything works just fine. It's all Action Script, so my gues is that I probably missed something along the way.Here's my script:
Code: scaler.loadMovie("image.jpg"); set the starting value for 2 variables var targScale = 45;[code].........
I'm making a game with a character and wide backdrop. The charcter is spawned and can then move about the stage, and currently the stage only reveals part of the backdrop. I basically want my character to be able to explore the backdrop. I was thinking that maybe I could do some code that tells the backdrop's x-value to change in the same way as the character's.My charcter's code is all kept in a class file, so I'm also not 100% sure if I should create a new class file to relate to my backdrop.
Also I'll need to stop the character before he walks off the edge of the backdrop, so is there any way I could also say "the character cannot travels past these two x points (the two edges of the backdrop).
I'm trying to get used to the new way of doing things in CS4. Once I've created a MC and rotated it in 3D, how can I move it across the screen w/o rotating it further? I have a MC that rotates over several frames, and once it reaches the last one, I want it to stop rotating, then begin to slide in an X direction (while reducing the alpha). But no matter which tool I use or what I do on the timeline, the object is stuck in place and will only rotate and not move. Even the 2D X and Y settings in the properties panel are grayed out.
I'm loading a .jpg into an object, and what I'm trying to do is load that same .jpg into another object later on in the script without requesting it to be downloaded (since it should already be in memory). Here is an example of what I'm using:
Code: var my_loader:Loader = new Loader(); my_loader.load(new URLRequest("photo1.jpg"));
The following code works fine when mouse is pressed at any position on the screen ,object moves that position...but what if I want the object move that position at a certain speed..say+10 using setInterval...I mean I want my object move slowly to any position I click on the screen..[code]...
I'm trying to create a script that locates the objects location, and moves it smoothly out of location (but not out of stage) when the mouse is close. When the mouse moves away, the object should return to its place. I've really been searching for hours, and I cannot seem to find anything that works.
OK, at first this seemed like the easiest thing to do, but I've tried to make it work a number of different ways and nothing seems to work. I have a movie clip that I want to have constantly moving back and forth across the stage, basically "bounce" off the left and right sides. What's the best way to do this using AS2?
I'm new to flash and following a tutorial on how to make a small game. I've made some subtle changes, namely I imported .png's and made them into shapes and now am trying to move them. Here is the tutorial:
