ActionScript 3.0 :: Nested Movies To Play Consecutively With Play Pause?
Mar 8, 2010
I have several products I want to animate with graphics and text individualy then stack them on a time line for output with play and pause buttons. Is there a tutorial somwhere that shows you how to do this? and how do I stop the entire animation on a frame, I don't understand "not_set_yet"
I have a linear movie I have created in Flash and I am not an ActionScript user at all, but I am trying to find an answer or some resources on how to create a small "button" that once clicked by the user will pause my Flash movie, and then once clicked again, will make it play.
I have a question in Flash play/pause button. I have created a flash slideshow which was exceeding 16000 frames, so I've split the movie into two. I'm loading the second movie at the end of the main movie using loadMovieNum. I have placed the play/pause button in the main movie which works fine until the second movie loads. This used to work for me in the older version of Flash (flash 8).I'm using CS4 now.
Flash movie has 1 frame with about 10 layers.on each layer there is a 10-frame movie clip after one movie clip, I want another movie clip on another layer to play. the other mc "instance" is named "mc02" on that 2nd mc, it starts with a stop() frame so it doesn't play right away.the 2nd frame is called "start01"here's the action script on the last frame of the 1st MC[code]...
I have a timeline of 30 frames, each it's own mc (page01_mc, etc.). In each mc I show a picture or two and hear narration.I have a first, prev and next nav on the main timeline. I need to add a play/pause btn that will pause both pictures and sound. I assume I do that in each mc, but do not know where to find the code.Here is what is in each mc now:
var mySound:Sound = new Sound(); mySound.load(new URLRequest("english/Intro01.mp3")); mySound.play()
I want to create about ten twenty second movies and then have them play sequentially.
The movies are only slightly different from each other.I don't want to make a movie that is two minutes long though. I want the movies to play in a different order on each page.
how to control a pause/play button by pressing only the space bar, as I have the animation inside a movie clip.
I tried just using a simple code, such as:
on (keyPress "<Space>") {stop(); play(); }
But as I guessed, it only paused and re-played the movie, so I suppose I need a condition for when it's either paused or playing, but I'm a little (a lot) inexperienced in coding in general.
I have a clip on my main timeline, inside of which is another clip. I have animated the main clip (just 10 frames, keyframes at 1 and 10, with a motion tween). Then I open it, and "animate" the nested clip on its own timeline. I say animate in quotes because it's really just 5 keyframes with no tweens as I've been told that tweens in nested clips make a mess. I know nested animatetions don't show by scrubbing the timeline, but it won't show when Testing the movie, or even after publishing it as a .swf. The nested clip does play on its own timeline from within the clip, but not outside it.
my problem is (for now) i have a sprite with animation (7 frames) and two buttons. One button moves the sprite right at 15 units on mouse down, the other moves him backwards.
two things..
1. When i release the mouse, the sprite stops mid-animation, with 1 foot in the air. how do i get it to complete its cycle after the button has been released?
2. is there a way to flip, horizontally, my sprite so when i click the LEFT arrow, he turns around? Or do i have to mirror the sprites myself as new images?
i cant attach my FLA, but here is my code copy/pasted. btn_right.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onDown); btn_right.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onUp);
Im creating a website and when I test flash content in an html page locally on my mac, I get this annoying message
"Adobe® Flash® Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: /Users/myname/Documents/Websites/mysite/version 1/site/Scripts/expressInstall.swf
is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location:fpdownload.macromedia.com
To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.You must restart this application after changing your settings."
Ive tried following the settings button and adding "/Users/myname/Documents/Websites' to local storage settings by site but no joy the content still wont play and every time I refresh or test the page I get the same message. I want to add the whole websites directory so I don't get this message again, when testing other sites pages and content.
I have created my first Flash CS4 presentation. It includes nine, mostly text, scenes, with no audio or video. The entire presentation has a row of nine circles across the top that distinguishes each chapter (scene) of the presentation. The presentation (movie) currently plays without stopping.Now my client wants to be able to click on each circle to pause/play the presentation at that chapter (scene), skip a chapter (scene), or go back to play a previous viewed chapter (scene).Can anyone recommend a simple scene pause/play script I can add to each circle (which will now become buttons)?
I have several swf file that will be loaded into the main swf file. In the sub swf file I coded & attached sounds and play it. And the problem is that when it is loaded in the main swf file the play/pause button won't work.
HOW DO I MAKE THE SLIDEPANEL AUTOPLAY AND BE INTERRUPTED WHEN THE USER CLICKS ON THE BTN? here's the tutorial i learned the slidepanel. [URL] working in a AS 2.0 format. I made a slidepanel where it is a movieclip of combined images that make a long strip, depicting different images. Going to a particular image is through invisible buttons on the bottom with instance names. The actionscript layer contains commands:
I am using a stop(); gotoAndPlay with setInterval on a series of swf files that are loaded into a container movie. There is a bug in doing this, in which when one of the swfs is loaded into the container and you click on a link to load a different swf before the current swf has gotten to the frame in which you reach this function, its stops the function and nothing pauses/plays anymore. [code]...
I'm making a mp3 player using flash and i would like to have the play and pause function all in one button rather having separating into two buttons. Here is the code what I have so far.
Code:
playpause_button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, playpauseButtonClick); function playpauseButtonClick( event:MouseEvent):void { theChannel = theSound.play(pausepoint);
I want to know if there is a command or actionscript that will allow you to pause the movie automatically for like 30 seconds and then continue the movie after 30 seconds have passed, instead of adding alot of frames for about that add up to 30 secs. Just like the goto and play command.
I'm having a problem trying to get some nested movie clips to play. I have three movie clips on three different layers all on frame one of the parent layer. each layer has a labIe (well just call it "layer1", "layer2. "layer3") I have a stop command on the parent level (on its own layer). each of the three movie clips has its own animation (the nested animation). The lower two have a stop command in their first frame(nested) so they wont play. Only the top movieclip would play on run. I want to place a gotoandplay command in the nested timeline of the above movie, that will start to play the next lower movie clip nested timeline, as the above one is ending, and repeat this process to cylce back around to the top movieclip. The overall goal is to have one animation move into the other using nested timeline smoothly.
I am working with Captivate 4 and have embedded a SWF that has AS3 code to dynamically an image (among a few other things) that needs to position another animation based on the size and position of the image. I've tried placing the animation in the captivate file directly and referencing it with this.parent.name which didn't work and seeme to break the rest of the code. I also tried loading the animation as a separate external swf which works until it's embedded into the parent. It loads it and positions it but won't advance it past the first frame even when I called objectname.play();
I have six dragable button named A,B,C,D,E, F on which external movie are called upon
what my client want is that user has to drag and drop this buttons one by one into to little mc (movie clip). than by clicking play but. all movies called upon have to play asper draged sequence.
Most of my flash movies have been reasonable sizes, but the one I'm working on now is kind of a beast. It's up against the 16000 frame limit, so I'm looking into ways to chop it up. The problem is that I need a way to keep my background music playing across multiple scenes or movies. Is there a way to start a sound file in one movie, and have it continue when another scene is loaded or when a second movie file is loaded with ActionScript?
