I want to create about ten twenty second movies and then have them play sequentially.
The movies are only slightly different from each other.I don't want to make a movie that is two minutes long though. I want the movies to play in a different order on each page.
im trying to figure out a way to make a button play two movie clips one after the other in AS 2.0. I have bunch of buttons that i want to play the same MC followed by a specific MC for each button so i cant add another goto at the end of the middle clip. theres probably an easy solution to this but I only know so much about AS.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to find a way to play a sound sequentially. In other words, I want to play a sound file from a certain point to a certain amount of time (NOT to the end). So to play a portion of that file.Now, I know I have to use mySound.start(secondOffset), but how can I stop it? Sound.onSoundComplete is not useful, as I want to stop the sound at a certain time from playing, which might not be the end.I guess that the approach is to use the Sound.position property, and to stop the sound when the position meets criteria.I've tried so far all kinds of approaches, like making a loop while the sound plays and checking the Time, but nothing seems to work.

The second part though will be a looping slideshow (It's photography site). Basically two different movie clips.Can someone give me a little help getting started? I think I can use AS (3.0) to loop the second movie but I need a way to recognize the end of a movie.

Complete idiot question but I know how to load and external swf and have buttons to start them playing. I was looking have them play and then load another and play.I f someone could point me in the right direction to even research this.

how to sequentially play external SWFs loaded into the main timeline?
I have several SWF files with short videos embedded in them. I wish to load these external SWF files into my main timeline as follows:
User Presses Button -> Play Video Clip in External SWF#1 -> Once Video Clip in External SWF#1 has Finished -> Play Video Clip in External SWF#2.
I tried achieving this by adding: var endmovie:Boolean = true; to the end of each video clip inside the external SWFs (e.g. 1.swf) then cycling through an if statement in the main timeline to see when this condition was meet:

How is the best way to go about achieving this? Am I on the right track? (By the way, using .FLV or one long external SWF file is not really an option due to long loading times...
I have several products I want to animate with graphics and text individualy then stack them on a time line for output with play and pause buttons. Is there a tutorial somwhere that shows you how to do this? and how do I stop the entire animation on a frame, I don't understand "not_set_yet"

So basically target 2 movies to play at the same time. But for some reason it is not working for me.
im using adobe air for android.
my problem is (for now) i have a sprite with animation (7 frames) and two buttons. One button moves the sprite right at 15 units on mouse down, the other moves him backwards.
two things..
1. When i release the mouse, the sprite stops mid-animation, with 1 foot in the air. how do i get it to complete its cycle after the button has been released?
2. is there a way to flip, horizontally, my sprite so when i click the LEFT arrow, he turns around? Or do i have to mirror the sprites myself as new images?

Im creating a website and when I test flash content in an html page locally on my mac, I get this annoying message

Ive tried following the settings button and adding "/Users/myname/Documents/Websites' to local storage settings by site but no joy the content still wont play and every time I refresh or test the page I get the same message. I want to add the whole websites directory so I don't get this message again, when testing other sites pages and content.
I have 3 external movies that I would like to play in this order.
first time someone visits the site they get 1.swf
second time they visit the ste they get 2.swf
third time they visit the site they get 3.swf
and everytime after that they get the same pattern 1, 2, 3.
In my scene I have a movie scene(movie1) that will slide into frame once a button is clicked.
Inside Movie1 I have another movie scene (movie2) that will fade in once button is clicked.
When I click the button movie1 will play but not movie2.

I have six dragable button named A,B,C,D,E, F on which external movie are called upon
what my client want is that user has to drag and drop this buttons one by one into to little mc (movie clip). than by clicking play but. all movies called upon have to play asper draged sequence.
I use Window XP, I got some funny flash movies, but they can't play in window media player? Anyboday knows how to make flash movies play?

I'm loading the second movie at the end of the main movie using loadMovieNum. I have placed the play/pause button in the main movie which works fine until the second movie loads. This used to work for me in the older version of Flash (flash 8).I'm using CS4 now.

When I use the navigation, the first few movies work great, but as I click through they start to get a little jumbled, and it breaks. I am using this script for the buttons to call on the movies:

View 2 RepliesI have an intro.swf file that is basically a movie with sound that is exported for actionscript but not exported in the first frame. I just stuck it in a movie on my timeline and it works great and the preloader works because it doesn't load the sound before the preloader. I use :
musicSound = new Sound();
musicSound.attachSound("music");
musicSound.start();
to play the sound in intro.swf.
However, now this intro.swf gets loaded into an index.swf and everything works fine and the sound plays as long as I have the sound included in BOTH the intro.swf and the index.swf and the sound is exported on the first frame in the index.swf. I was hoping I could remove the sound entirely from my index.swf since it already loads into the intro but so far
I have been having trouble creating a movie clip with a reverse rollover effect within a movie which has a reverse rollover effect. that sounds confusing
In essence I wish to create a panel that rolls out on rollover and rolls back in reverse when the you rollout. I have done this using this script

However I wish to make movies within this movie that have the same effect on them. But when I create another movie or button within this movie it is not registering on rollover. I guess because the script on the main movie overrides it?
I'm trying to go from an flv. that starts automatically 1st thing directly to a .swf file, with no user interaction. They are both inside a mc 'container' on the stage. I can get them both on the stage, but at more or less the same time, not sequentially. I tried using an addEventListener(VideoEvent.Complete) with the .flv, but the .swf starts up after the .flv is loaded, not after it finishes playing.
Am I supposed to use some sort of 'loader' strategy or is there a way to 'listen' to when a .flv finishes playing and then the .swf will come up automatically?
I have three flv files that I need to play sequentially, one right after the other in the same location (box) in an html document. I have segmented the video because of it's size. Does any one know how I would make this happen or where I can find some sort of tutorial that can assist me with this? I also have another project in which I have 4 animations that I want to play in sequence but they are in different locations on the web page.
