how to place SWF Movies into a site and have them play in the same window you start them in. I am interest in having it be similar to the way [URL] has there videos, even though those aren't swfs. I'd like there to be a simply play button and when it is done the play button comes up again.

View 3 RepliesI made flash player and i used that tutorial: HERE. Everything is good, but when one song is ending, next song's start is delay about 1-2 sec. You can say that is nothing in flash mp3 player, but if each other song is one short speaker sentence(there are about 10 one by one) it may be nervous. how to delete that delay? I don't need to have xml playlist. Just i want to start one by one(all playlist is about 300-400 loop/songs/mp3 files) without delay.
Now I think there is no way to delete that delay(how i can do it), but i have another idea. I will make one big file from 10 or 20 of that smaller, but i need to have in my player one thing more. When user will press start button, song won't start at 00:00/xx:xx but in random place. You know what i mean ? It will not start at start but somewhere else, in random place(maybe 00:21/xx:xx or 02:47/xx:xx or 01:02/xx:xx).

I have several products I want to animate with graphics and text individualy then stack them on a time line for output with play and pause buttons. Is there a tutorial somwhere that shows you how to do this? and how do I stop the entire animation on a frame, I don't understand "not_set_yet"

But if you click the link a bunch of times something funny happens - the squares start to come more and more. why?
How do I change the extention that flash searches for when I place a movie on the stage ?hen I upload it to the server it cant find the video (because the extention is on my computer...)

View 1 RepliesI got a bunch of live stream from FMLE, say: "FMLE_channel1", "FMLE_channel2", "FMLE_channel3". And then on the server side, I created several corresponding republished stream called "channel1", "channel2", "channel3".
On periodical basis, we call Stream.get("channel1").play("FMLE_channel1", -1, 10, true) every 10 seconds. Similar things were done on the second channel & third channel.Soon after the above Stream.get("channel1").play() call, I should get the following events in sequence:info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Startinfo :NetStream.Play.Resetinfo :NetStream.Play.Start In the above case all are happy. Clients can view channel1, channel2, channel3 well.But then after a while, one of the three channels, in most case it would be channel1, will not be viewable.
With the server trace info, I found that after the Stream.get("channel1").play() call, only the following two events exists:
info :NetStream.Unpublish.Successinfo :NetStream.Publish.Starti.e. I was missing the play.reset and play.start event.I further checked and confirmed that the FMLE was publishing all three channels fine to the server. I was able to view the "FMLE_channel1" from flash clients, but not the republished "channel1". the version is FMS 3.5.0.

I working with my new website where I want to show a FLV movie.Next to the movie, I have a text box that will have a new text at certain times.I want some kind of marker in the film to trigger the change.I use Aftereffets to make the movie and know that in the program I can set layer marks in timeline. But how should I do so Dreamweaver or similar software detect such marker.

I need to put a modal box on top of that flash element, but every combination of using z-indexes and iframe shims has failed (both manually and using bgiframe). Is there a way to place html content on top of a flash element with wmode=window? I'm testing this in chrome so far.

Each window is in a seperate swf file, so the need to be loaded.I am going to have the windows cascading so you have to close them to get rid of them.However i thought it would be nice so when you clicked the tab of a window, which is hidden beneath any other windows that are open, it pops up to the front, just like microsoft windows really.I was just wondering how i would do this, i thought about loading the swf's into levels, and thought maybe there was a script which could swap levels or something.

The movies are only slightly different from each other.I don't want to make a movie that is two minutes long though. I want the movies to play in a different order on each page.
I have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. Please take a look at [URL] If you reload again you will see how the image fade in.

I am building an all flash website, and I want to be able to have certain parts of the content to open on top of the main site. So when the user clicks an information button, a new window pops open, and doesn't allow the user to click on the buttons below this window. Here is an example: [URL]
I want the user not to be able to click on any thing directly behind the new window opening similar to how this works. Is the new window that opens a new swf?
I am trying to open up my site in a pop up window, and to be self contained in the window itself. This involves javascript and the code must be entered in the index.html page of the site, after the head tag, but why wont it work?! Does anyone know what to do?

my problem is (for now) i have a sprite with animation (7 frames) and two buttons. One button moves the sprite right at 15 units on mouse down, the other moves him backwards.
two things..
1. When i release the mouse, the sprite stops mid-animation, with 1 foot in the air. how do i get it to complete its cycle after the button has been released?
2. is there a way to flip, horizontally, my sprite so when i click the LEFT arrow, he turns around? Or do i have to mirror the sprites myself as new images?

Im creating a website and when I test flash content in an html page locally on my mac, I get this annoying message

Ive tried following the settings button and adding "/Users/myname/Documents/Websites' to local storage settings by site but no joy the content still wont play and every time I refresh or test the page I get the same message. I want to add the whole websites directory so I don't get this message again, when testing other sites pages and content.
I have 3 external movies that I would like to play in this order.
first time someone visits the site they get 1.swf
second time they visit the ste they get 2.swf
third time they visit the site they get 3.swf
and everytime after that they get the same pattern 1, 2, 3.
In my scene I have a movie scene(movie1) that will slide into frame once a button is clicked.
Inside Movie1 I have another movie scene (movie2) that will fade in once button is clicked.
When I click the button movie1 will play but not movie2.

If I declare a window this way, and then call this.open(false);, the window will quickly open and then hide, and then be reshown when I actually display it, I want to do this to be able to load content and fit the window to that size before showing it.

what my client want is that user has to drag and drop this buttons one by one into to little mc (movie clip). than by clicking play but. all movies called upon have to play asper draged sequence.
I have a linear movie I have created in Flash and I am not an ActionScript user at all, but I am trying to find an answer or some resources on how to create a small "button" that once clicked by the user will pause my Flash movie, and then once clicked again, will make it play.
