ActionScript 3.0 :: Swap Out Swift Files When Buttons Selected

I am pretty new and I am trying to swap out swift files when the Buttons (Cabs & Sleeper) are selected but I cant figure out where to add the ".swf" file correctly, the current code I created is working but I am sure there is a better way to swap them, plus if I add more then 2 buttons the removechild will not work correctly (if a child by that name is not loaded) I think I have the right concept but I do not know how to make a variable that will swap the .swf rather than adding and removing the child.
I have 4 buttons , one container and one background movieClip as the attached file shows. Well.. at the Gallery movieclip displayList I add the other three BLACK buttons like this:

Everything I need consist on swap the buttons when i CLICK or ROLL_OVER those buttons, how do I do on thats circunstance? With a container and a background at the same displaylist.
I have a flash movie which loads an external swf file that I created using swift 3D. The whole process works fine on my hard drive but when I upload the files to the net the external file does not get loaded when I go to the website.
I am trying to generate XML of a user selected folder and inner folders along with the files recursively. Structure of the XML generated should be as the user selected folder.
I am able to list all the folders and files in the selected folder. I am unable to find a way to generate the same structure, I am unable to think of a way to replicate the depth of folder in XML. Any ideas to find solutions??
i want to make an upload script with swf and javascript. I want to do selecting files via swf then uploading files to server via javascript. I have searched SWFupload plugins but they are not working as i need. I am new here and i do some search, i see it is possible to save list of selected files in FileReferenceList array, but i dont know if is it possible to pass this array into javascript and then make upload progress via javascript ?
I am having trouble trying to use actionscript to load different files when different values are changed. I am currently using a tilelist and they have different values so the code is something like this: (the title is just there, non-related)
if (startTileList.selectedItem.value == 1) { //textFile1 load here[code].........
So I want different text files to be loaded when different value is selected but I cannot seem to get it working.
I'm trying to open a few .mov files in quicktime when they are selected in my listBox.I have this little block of code (What, I believe, is the important part):[code]It's launching a browser though, instead of quicktime. Which kind of makes sense, but before I tried it with a .mov, I tested it out with a .wmv, and it launched windows media player.I suppose otherwise, I would have to put everything in the fscommand folder, and figure out how to tie the fscommand folder to the vidList.change function..?
I'm creating a movie with a swift flies quickly across screen, but in playback it always appears as if there are two or three swifts flying together almost on top of one another, a sort of stuttering effect in the playback. I've tried altering frame rate/frame number ratio; tried viewing the swf file in the external movie player, but nothing seems to improve it.
Is this lack of smoothness a basic problem in Flash with moving objects, or is it something to do with my Flash preferences, or even my computer settings? What are the standard ways to try and increase smoothness of playback in Flash?.
I know there is a new grounds link about setting your publishing settings to get animated gifs to work with flash. I am using CS4 and when I go to publish the gif works in the html document. But when I export to an animated gif it is still a still picture. I have also tried to export to a quicktime file and it's is a still picture there too and distorted. Should exporting to png or gif sequence work as well?

How do I code AS 3.0 to have multiple buttons on a frame selected sequentially? I have on frame with 4 buttons programmed to go to a specif frame when clicked. However, I want the buttons selected selected sequentially, so a user can not just click the last button and be finished with the CBT.

Lets say I have a nav with 4 items that are blue. If I click on one, I want it to turn red and stay red to reflect that Im looking at content in that area. If I click another nav item, the previous turns back to blue while the newly selected one turns red. I started to write a function and define a variable but I would like to see an example.
I have two main clips with clickable clicks within each. I am using swapDepths on the two main clips in a tab navagation fashion. The problem is that if I click on the space between the nested clips in the top clip it actually is hitting the buttons(movieclips) on the other clip under it. Any suggestions?
I found that .fla files do not save in Flash CS4 when the Deco tool or Spray Brush tool is selected. Is this a bug? Or is there a workaround to this issue.

I am creating a site with a Main.fla which contains buttons to load other SubPage.swf files. For example, I have a Page1 button with the following actionscript code.
on (release) { _root.contents.loadMovie("page1.swf"); }
It works fine.
Now when I work on the Page1.fla, I am trying to load other Movies in the same fashion. It works when I CMD+RETURN to generate the .swf file.
However when I CMD+RETURN the Main.fla file and load the Page1 file, the buttons won't load the movies.
whats up with the scrollpane.Ive got it loading my swf files into it but for sum reason u can press the buttons even if theyre not showing. see below see the button on the top left how it is darkened, this is the over state, but the mouse isnt actualy on the button, its above the scrollpane area, but its still being selected and is able to be clicked.
I have a drop down menu whereby the clicking of a button causes it to move to a specific keyframe in the timeline. I also have multiple buttons which load external swf files.The problem is when i navigate to the drop down menu the loaded external files keep dissapering because they are not on the keyframe where the drop down menu is actuated. Is there any way of coding it so that which ever swf file is loaded remains there whilst the drop down menu moves to its specific stage in the timeline?
I have 2 buttons in my AS3 project that load .mp3 files and then play them. I have 2 buttons that switch between those files that aren't working. I get an error saying:
Error: Error #2037: Functions called in incorrect sequence, or earlier call was unsuccessful. at flash.media::Sound/_load() at flash.media::Sound/load() at player_fla::MainTimeline/playMusic1()
I'm thinking that means the file isn't loaded before it tries to play, is that right? How can I check to see if the file is loaded before playing?

I'm making a website and I imported an swf file to library and brought that into the stage.If I click into the swf file and I try to make buttons that change a page it doesn't work, but if I don't double click on the swf file on the stage and do it in the main time line then it works.
