Aug 4, 2010I recently hired a programmer to design a flash health calculator for my website. It works great and text shows up correctly when viewing online and standalone. The problem starts when I try to edit the file. I wanted to change some text in an action layer. That seems to work out fine but when I try to publish I get garbled text.
I should also mention that when loading the file I get a Font Mapping dialog box stating "The document 'x' contains one or more fonts not available on your system. The text will display and publish with the font mapping below:". I have tried to select various fonts in this dialog box but still get garbled text.
When I publish I also get this on the Output box: "Fonts should be embedded for any text that may be edited at runtime, other than text with the "Use Device Fonts" setting. Use the Text > Font Embedding command to embed fonts."
Publish Javascript To A Separate File During CS4 Publish?
Nov 12, 2009While publishing my movies in CS4, I noticed that the javascript required to embed the movie in a web page was published as inline javascript in the published page. This means that code would be downloaded for each page my movie is on. Is it possible to configure Flash CS4 to publish that javascript to a separate .js file, instead of having to manually copy-paste that each time??
If no, I believe that js is independent of the Flash movie (please correct me, if I am wrong). So, can I copy-paste that javascript to an external file just once, and use the js file for all my movies being published??

Jun 22, 2011I'm using Flash to play a RTMP stream to a Wowza server.
I publish my microphone with
m_MicStream.publish ("mic_user1", "live");
Unfortunately, my receiving end only supports AAC audio. Is there a way to publish AAC audio with Flash?
Note : I tried the mp4:mic_user1, but it does not work. The stream negociation seems ok, but the received audio is garbage
Professional :: Flash Displays No TLF Text On Publish After 1000 Frames?
Apr 27, 2011Whenever I test or publish a CS5 movie that uses TLF text (no matter which font), the .swf displays all elements but the text. There's simply nothing there. I'm on a mac with Snow Leopard, 10.6.7. This only happens as soon as I pass the 1000 frame limit (before, everything displays fine). Reaching wit's end here. Anyone know what causes this, and more specifically, how to solve it?

Jan 23, 2010i'm gonna make a flash header in cs4 to be placed on the webpage of a friend. the flash header is going to contain some small images and some text, all this is easy to do, but i'm wondering about how to publish it to the web, is a swf file and the html file enough? i want to create a text document where my friend later can exchange the images and the texts for his webpage by himself, without him having to do this in a flash programme. is this possible?
here is an example of how i want the header to look like, when you have the mouse hovered over the one big image[URL]..

Jun 6, 2003I have a very general requirement that seemed very simple: Step 1: Load a new external JPEG image into a MC with a string var encoding a string caption in the URL link (VALUE="../fadeTest.swf?someTextVar=TestCaption") within the EMBED / OBJECT sections. I know how to do this and it semed to work fine. STEP2: When the JPEG is loaded I would like the substituted Text to Fade In over the JPEG. The JPEG should also fade in before the Text. The fade rate should be programmable.

May 25, 2009Im using Adobe Flash CS3 PRO. I don't know what's wrong..when I try to import photos into the stage the photos get resized.My photographs are 550px by 413px. I set my stage to the same size. Then I go to import to stage. I click import as a sequence. All the photos are appear smaller on the stage. Nov 2, 2005I have downloaded the source file for the Export JPEG with Flash/PHP sample from http:[url].... . What this script does is it lets you print the flash screen you have using the new flash.display.BitmapData class.I was able to run it on my server however I also want to be able to save the jpg image that it generates on a folder on my server. What I did is I added a an image file name in the imagejpeg() function
imagejpeg($img, "filename.jpg", 90);
The image is being saved on my server however, now the image is not being displayed on the browser. Both on IE and Firefox.
