ActionScript 3.0 :: Compile To Swf - All The Actions That The User Is Doing Will Transfer To .swf File?
Jun 1, 2010
i have a problem:i am doing website for making banner.i do it in flash + actionscript 3.0. the user can draw, add pictures, shapes, text, colors and ,and motion tween.i need that all the actions that the user is doing will transfer to .swf file.how can i do it?
It is possible to make file transfer from air application via server?I think need to create like byte array streaming or somethink like this from sender and write the destination file on receiver user pc.
I have some question, Please check out this two site. [URL] My question is how this is done? Both in the front end and back end. How does the system recognize which music to play when the timeline hit in the front end. And how does the backend compile the DIY music file for the user to download. It just so dynamic.
I have seen similar threads, but I am trying to recreate something I saw on a similar site where the user can record actions such as clicking buttons to produce sounds and stop the recording and then replay what the notes that they played.
I realize that I will need an array of some sort, but I am trying to work it out and I can't seem to get my head around how do replay actions such as the site example above.
I'm a very new user to AS3 and I'm attempting to migrate a site from Flash CS3 to CS4 on a Mac. I keep getting the following compile warning: "Warning: Actions on button or movie clip instances are not supported in Action Script 3. All scripts on object instances will be ignored." This is very confusing to me. I thought that scripts could be attached to both frames and objects? Is this a bug that is a result of switching from versions? Or is this warning true; and I have to abandon all uses of attaching scripts to objects on the stage?
Also: Can anyone illuminate me on the keystroke to call the actions window in AS3? It is supposed to be the F9 function key and another that I can;t locate on my keyboard!? As I said,I'm a very new user, so be kind!!
However, no matter what I do I can't seem to get data from my components to a PHP file on my server.Ultimately,I am making a flash form that will submit the form data to the PHP script and make entries into a mySQL database. Before I do that, though, I thought I'd first just try to see if I could get data processed in PHP.So,I created a simple PHP file that simply displays the data on the screen, and I made a single-button flash movie that has some actionscript in it.Here is the code for the PHP file:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />[code]....
And here is the code for the actionscript I have in my button:
on (click)[code]....
I'd like to note that my actionscript is a direct copy/paste from the Adobe online reference for actionscript 2 (with a change to the php path, of course).I upload everything and visit the page with the flash button in it.When I click the button, I am taken to the .php page as expected, but the only thing I get on my screen is "...and that's all I've got."
firstName, lastName, and age never get processed.Eventually, I'll be wanting to send data from form components. But as a first step, I can't even get this working correctly. Does anyone have any insight?I'm using Macromedia Flash 8 (I'd love to upgrade, but Adobe won't let me since it's part of a suite...and I don't want to upgrade the whole suite.
I have a bunch of code inside my actions panel but I want to switch it to being in an AS file which would be external to the FLA file. I am looking for a tutorial or data on this. What terms do I search under?
I am trying to load a file into flash cs4 that was created in flash cs3. The file is from a site that explains how to make a slideshow. When I load it I get all sorts of errors. I tried other files and got the same problem. One error said that the variable arguments were wrong
If you have an .as file in the global include directory do you have to upload it to your server with the flash file or does it compile the flash file with the included info?
I'm using Flash Develop to build an as3 application using the Flex compiler. In the constructor of a particular class I have written the following code
Code: //constructor public function Test(par1:int, arr:/*int*/Array = [1, 2]){ <----- compiler shows error here
C:demoABC.as: Error: A file found in a source-path must have the same package structure '', as the definition's package, 'demo'.Where is wrong above command?
I have a problem with a dynamic video player that I have created in flash. The video player is "SCORM" compliant so that when the user clicks the "exit" button a class file is called to mark the user complete in an LMS.I have tested the SCORM Code previously and it works with out issue. Usually I have the completion code embedded in an Actions Layer of the movie. This is the first time I have attempted to call the completion status in a class file, I have added a "trace statement" when the movie is tested within flash it runs the trace statement properly, but when uploaded to the LMS environment the course does not complete properly
Can we perform client to client file transfer, client to server can be done by FileReference. but how do we do client to client transfer, for example if a user wants to send file to another user to whom he is chatting online.
There is probably no way for this but does anyone know a method of excluding certain functions from a build by use of a meta tag and or compiler option?I want to expose some functions for testing but not have them bloat the application on production. I could create separate testing classes and test for a complier directive or option and only load them if necessary but I like the idea of having the test function on the actual object (in the class).
I'm trying to compile an SWC file from a list of given ActionScript classes. I'm using the compc compiler. The problem is that there are so many classes grouped into multiple namespaces that I am finding it very tedious to specify each individual class to be included in the SWC. Is there any easier way of doing this like just simply specifying a root directory of these classes? At the moment I have something like this:
I understand that in Flex builder we can right click on a CSS file and choose 'compile to swf' and our CSS SWFs will automatically be compiled along with the main app.Is possible to compile the CSS file only (not with the main app) from the command line?Give clients a Flex CSS file to hand edit.Allow them to upload the file via a CMS.Trigger a server process to run the compiler from the command line, outputting the compiled SWF to the appropriate server path. This would of course be a whole lot simpler if Flex properly supported text-based CSS files (without requiring manually applying styles using AS3).
I want to compile one class from MXML to as3 as a learning experience. The class had dependencies on other classes in my project but I don't think that should matter if I am just compiling it to as3 right? Currently I have Flash Builder 4 (in Eclipse) but I would be happy just to use a command line compiler if that exists.
I've just finished my work. When I publish or export the file to an swf, it doesn't 'render' the actionscript 3.0 code to an SWF file. So, I've hidden the movieclipes by using the dot syntax. movie-clip.visible = false;, for example. But everything is visible, because its not taking in consideration the actionscript code in frame 1.
wait for the two interfaces to load.you will see several buttons , now drag the "mix-me" button on the bottle or in the rectangular area on the bottom.a few moments later, a mixmovie appears. this mixmovie contains actionscript code to scroll the different recipes left and right.
now here is my problem.
I loaded the ****tail.swf file into an empty movie clip with instance name content_dummy. It loads perfectly but the actions in the ****tail.swf file seem all to be gone. This does not happen with the loadmovieNum method but I would prefer to have it loaded into the dummy movieclip, because it is more manageable ?
There is some way to make the flash put the content of one text file in a string, or at least put it in the .swf, so the user don't need to download it?
Is there a way to set the value of a private static const identifier from a config file during compile time in Actionscript 3?Also, it would be nice if I can do this in the mxmlc ANT task.
I am using a PC and my consultant is on a Mac. I have sent her my working files along with a folder of referenced .as files. For some reason, when she goes to compile her movie it gives an error that the referenced .as file cannot be found. It works fine on my machine.
I have double and triple checked to ensure she has all the correct files within the correct local directories so I am completely stumped. I am using Flash CS4 and she is on CS5
I am trying to compile a file into swf using mxmlc in command line. When it is a very simple mxml, compile is successful. But when the file contaion the fx name space, I get a compile error like: could not resolve (or ) to a component implementation.
I have to be able to do this, without the help of Flash Builder because I am working on a project where I will need to generate swf files from mxml files of which we generate the code. The code I am trying to compile is:
I have four games that are very similar with certain names, colours and fonts changing in each. To design these, I built the first and changed the rest - updating what was needed. I then had to go back and add a few scenes to each - which were all the same save for a few word, colour and font changes. I updated game 1, but can't find an easy way to transfer the new scenes to my other .fla files.
I understand that you can select all frames and then copy these for pasting in a separate .fla file. However, this merges all contents to one layer and does not copy the actions for that scene. I also understand that you can embed a .swf of these new scenes within the other games - but this would not allow for changes.
I was hoping that someone could tell me how to copy a scene from one .fla to another - keeping all layers and actions intact.
Is there any way how to compile maven/flex project which does not contain any *.mxml? The flex project contains ActionScript classes only (i.e. "src/flex" directory contains *.as files only). My pom.xml is here:
Flash Builder has a nice feature that will allow you to have it move files such as images, fonts, xml files and so forth into the bin-debug directory an compile time. The reason for doing this would be to mock up some data or test pulling in assets dynamically but having them in source directory so you can version control the assets during development. Typically we don't add the bin directory to version control so being able to have the IDE move files over to bin for you is very helpful if you are on a large team.
Is there a feature within FDT5 that will do this like Flash Builder?
I imported a image file to my library and exported it for Actionscript. Which it created a new class that extends the bitmapdata class. Do I create an instance of that data and pass it to a sprite and add the sprite to the stage so I can display the image when I compile the file into a swf? Ive tried that and get an error saying that I need two arguments. I guess im just not sure what to do with the bitmapdata class.
I have a series of frames one the timeline. Each frame has a graphic and a mouse click leads to the next frame. Think Myst.
[Code]...
When the middle frame is returned to, clicks no longer change anything. I believe that the actions of the 'left' frame are replacing the one's in the middle frame so then it is told to gotoAndStop to itself.
I'd like to know if that is indeed what is happening and how I can make it stop.
