ActionScript 3.0 :: Import The Sound To The "up" Keyframe And Choose Loop In The Properties It Keeps Looping Until The End Of Time

what i'd like to do is create a button, and loop sounds in the "up" state of that button. the only problem is, that if i import the sound to the "up" keyframe and choose loop in the properties it keeps looping until the end of time. what i'd like though is it looping just in the event of the mouse being in the buttons' area. what should i do?

Professional :: Copy Motion Tween Properties For Keyframe?

Is there no way to do this from the timeline? I have a layer on the timeline with a MovieClip.  It's set for motion tweening.  On Frame 30 it has a keyframe for all tween properties ( rotation, scale, position, etc ).I want to copy those and set them on frame 1 using the Timeline editor.

CS4: Looping MovieClip Resets Everytime The Playhead Reaches A Shape Tween Mask Keyframe?

I'm having issues with something I used to do all the time in previous version of Flash.On my Main Timeline I have a "looping" MovieClip (myArrows_mc). This MovieClip's timeline just has some simple animation,for instance some arrows that run across screen.There are no stop() actions, so once the playhead reaches the end of the MovieClip's timeline, it just goes back frame 1 and plays again.
 
Now I want to animate a simple shape Mask over top of the MovieClip. However, everytime the playhead gets to a keyframe in the Mask Layer, the MovieClip getting masked goes back to frame 1 and plays.
 
In other words, let's say myArrows_mc has 100 frames of arrow animation. On the Mask layer, I have tweened a simple oval shape from 1 side of the stage to the other. The shape tween has keyframes at frame 1, 50, and 64.
 
When I test the movie, everything looks fine (the arrows are looping) until the playhead reaches frame 50. Then the myArrows_mc, even though it hasn't reached the end of the arrows animation (frame 100), goes back to frame 1 and plays. Then when the main playhead reaches 64, myArrows_mc again resets to frame 1 and plays.
 
How can I animate a Mask over a MovieClip (not a Graphic) at authortime?Also, I need the Mask to be either a shape/motion tween or a graphic... it can't be it's own MovieClip, because I need to keep it "tied" to the Main Timeline.

I am trying to develop a simple game for kids in which an Alphabet will be spoken and the kid will have to choose the correct alphabet being displayed on the screen. What I have tried to do is that I have saved each of the sound in a seperate movieclip.

how can I develop the code that randomly choose a movieclip to play the sound and then when the kid click on the correct alphabet, it adds the point and if wrong alphabet is clicked, it gives error.

I have a big Flash project that I want to update with a sort of "Breaking news"-pop up.

I load my pop-up in a movieclip "Target_MC" simply by adding the action script:

loadMovie("extra.swf", Target_MC);

In my "extra.swf"-file I have a close-button with the action script:

on (release) {
unloadMovie(_root.Target_MC);

This works out fine. The thing is that the keyframe where I have the first action script is a place you come back to many times. ANd every time this extra.swf-file pops up... anyoing!

Is there a way to say that the movieclip "extra.swf" should just load once? or not repeat? or disapear the second time?

In Flash Actionscript 3, if a function is defined in Frame 1 of a flash animation and the animation loops, does it store another version of the function in memory upon each loop.

Flash :: Synchronizing Sound - Sound Gets Terrible As Time Passes?

It appears my sound is off sync and the longer I play the movieclip, the farther off sync it goes. Its nothing too complicated, just some basic shooting sounds that fire every time I hit the space bar. My code is below:

The Attack() method gets called from another class that handles all keyboard controls.when it gets called the sound then plays.firesound and firesound2 are almost the same. firesound2 sounds a little off pitch to make it sound more realistic.At first the sound sounds pretty good, not great. but then it gets terrible as time passes.

I made a new .fla project. and I attached the following class to it by it self. so the following is the only code in the entire .fla project and the issue still occurs. I press the spacebar and the sound starts a day late.

I have a Flash file with several sound fx. one layer has the sound of an airplane engine. Another layer has multiple instances of a camera clicking sound. Problem is that even though I have these sounds set to "repeat 0"... they keep looping! I even placed a stop(); but they still repeat.

I have a simple flash that has 2 layers 2 images. one image is on the first frame and the other image is on the second keyframe. Actionscript starts on 1st keyframe.  What I have it doing is loading frame one stop() reads the actionscript checks the date if the date is met it goes and stops on frame 2 and plays other image:
 
Everytime the flash refreshes it plays frame one then jumps to frame 2 if the date is met.  How do I avoid playing frame one if the date is met what it's doing is playing the first image before the date change and a split second after it plays frame 2.  (you see a hiccup)
 
i need the flash to "preload, check the actionscript before it loads if the date is met automataclly go to frame 2 avoiding frame one all together.

-: b1 = blade.. rotating and moving along y axis... its position in the stage is x = 120 and y = 20.. but when i test it tracing(_y) shows dat d first value comes 42.85 and not 20(value from the properties).. i dont know how to get its exact value just like what is seen from the properties.. i've tried to have an if statement that if the value of _y = to the y coordinate the blade position that will alter its movement, it never turns like i want.. here is my facebook email add( punisheryuri11@gmail.com ).. please help me if u have a spare time..

Sound Looping At The Moment On Site?

i'm having a sound looping issue at the moment on my site. I'm trying to make it so i have sparks shooting out of something, and at the same time the sparks shoot out i have a electric type sound. BUT the graphics all seem to work, but the sound for some reason, just keeps looping even when i'm not moused over. I put stops for the sound all over the place on like every frame and still doesn't work. Is there a bit of code I can use somewhere that will just mute the stupid thing after you take your mouse off the button?

here you can see what i'm talking about. I don't have it on loop. [URL].. the way i'm getting this animation to work, is by having one big movie clip and inside that movie clip i have the sparks movie clip, and the blue fade movie clip, then i just dropped in the sound where the sparks movie clip is.

I am fairly new to Flash, but I'm creating a sort of sampler for a university project. I have 16 circles each with toggle buttons. The on state included a sound file placed on the toggle movie clip's timeline. The sound is set to Start and Loop.
 
Basically, I want the first frame of the movie clip (the off toggle) to stop the sound from looping but despite my best efforts, nothing seems to work.
 
I have tried this.stop(), seachord.stop(), this.stop(Sound), this.stopAllSounds. I wonder if there is some sort of actionscript that will allow me to change the state of the sound file from Loop to Repeat, at least that way the sound will stop with a simple stop() script... I hope.
 
Alternatively, is there a way to stopAllSounds within one movie clip, rather than globally?

I have imported the music--works great I have set up a mute/unmute button--works great But I want the movie to loop, but not the music. The movie loops naturally at frame 1, but the music starts again while playing the the music from the first loop.

What I want to do is rather simple but I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to flash, specially scripting.I want to create a perfect loop of a 60 frames image sequence and and an .wav audio loop I created in SoundbooThe animation loops forever without copying the frames over and over again and I want the sound loop also to play forever. sound loops wonderfully when I just let it play. And, my sound would loop perfectly if I set up just start and stop buttons to control it.

But, here's the problem. I want the "stop" button to function as a "pause" button rather than a "stop" button.

So now, it pauses and plays perfectly, the problem is that when it gets to the end of the sound file, it loops back to the last point it was "un-paused" rather than looping back to the beginning of the sound file. Make sense? Has anyone come across this before? How can I get it to loop back to the beginning no matter when it was paused?
