ActionScript 3.0 :: Make A Banner Loader - Swfs Continuously - Looping
Jul 18, 2011
I want to make a banner loader. Basically its a swf that must load other swfs continuously, looping. Ive tried 2 things this far, and none of them seemed to work. 1st try: on my banner1.swf I used the onComplete parameter of Caurina package. So, when the animation should end, I simply made a method stating something like this:
I am working on a Flash Banner for a website I am working on. I'm using the Greensock Tweenlite package.Basically a bunch of products slide into the screen or fade in every 5 seconds, however once all the products are shown, the SWF ends and goes blank, I want it to restart and go on continuously.
I have to make a banner ad for my company's website that is 4 frames. It needs to play each frame about 3-4 seconds and then loop after 4th frame and continuously do so. It needs to begin this process when the web page is brought up without the user doing anything to it (so no clicking)And I have to keep it under 40k.I've found alot of tutorials for using external swf files and images but everything seems to use a button and I can't seem to get the coding down at all.
I am trying to make the bar in the Simple Flash XML Photogallery [URL] continuously loop and having a hard time. I don't really care if the mouse would control the thumbnails, just trying to have the thunbnails move left continuously. I have put two tutorials together and made the mouse control the thumbnails. I used the "Simple Flash XML Photogallery" and the "Scrolling Thumbnail Panel" from [URL] and came up with the file below. How to make this continuously loop or scroll. [URL]
I have a movie clip, which is loading a portfolio. A movieclip holding the images drops down into the screen and then when the user clicks the return button within this movie clip, it dispatches an "end" event. In the main timeline, I have put in a gotoAndPlay(frameno); in response to the "end" event.
From this "frameno" the movie plays on and is supposed to come to a stop at the end of the timeline. The problem is that it is ignoring the last stop and jumping back to the first frame of the movie. Also, the stop I placed to let the user browse the images, and listen for the end event, is being ignored and the timeline is proceeding as normal and looping continously.[code]...
i have a main loader swf file called loader.swf and it loads an RSL.swf (runtime shared library for my swf files) and then 10 swf files, each one to a container (fE.: movieclip '01' in loader.swf, then movieclip '02' and so on). the 10 swf files have a lot of references to RSL.swf, and i have to use RSL.the problem is when loader.swf loads the RSL and the other 10 swfs the loader throws errors like this:
Code: *** Security Sandbox Violation ***[code]...
then i put in EVERY swf files (loader,RSL and the other 10) the code Security.allowDomain ("*") but throws the same errors...
I'm trying to loop a Flash Banner ad. I added the code to the first and last frames on a separate action layer on the main timeline, but it's not working.
I'm using actionscript 2.0/CS4.
I have a stop action on the last frame of the last text movieclip that plays. And it seems to get hung up here. When I remove the stop action it just loops that movieclip and not the whole animation.
This is the code I'm using in the first frame of the main timeline.
> var counter:Number = 0
And this is the code I'm using in the last frame of the main timeline:
> // if its being used on the last frame use a stop(); action on the top line > if (counter < 3) { >counter++ > gotoAndPlay(1) > }
I've been asked by a client to build a vertical scrolling banner that pulls logos from a database and displays them in a line, scrolling through an infinite loop.I initially built it using a jquery script I found, but have discovered in the end that it won't actually do what I need it to.I know there are a million different scripts out there roughly covering what I'm after, but my PHP/Flash integration knowledge is pretty well non-existent.Here's what I've got using the jquery script. I need the flash one to display 6 banners at a time scrolling up, as opposed to the one.
I have this code, and it needs to stop looping before 15 seconds to be used in google. It's a rotating carousel that currently has three items spinning around.
Actually, I'm HTML-coder, so I've recently confronted by difficulties with Flash. Its making the text banner. Flash needs to get variables from the following 'vars.htm' file: myVar01=the_first_textDDDsecond_textDDDand_surely_ the_third_text&myVar02=DDD&myVar03=3 Where 'myVar01' contains the text, 'myVar02' is the text delimiter's look and 'myVar03' is the showing delay of texts. In truth, I've never seen the ActionScript before.
So, what I've done regarding that all: ActionScript Code: var data_lv:LoadVars = new LoadVars (); data_lv.load("vars.htm"); data_lv.onLoad = function() { [Code] .....
The problem is, the 'trace' shows me correct array looping but in Flash I see there's only one passage through the 'texts' array. But I need the infinite looping in Flash movie, instead of one.
I have a main "shell" swf which, by clicking several buttons, will load/unload various external swfs into a Placeholder_mc which resides on the main timeline in Shell.swf In the documentation and tutorials I've seen a couple different methods, and I'm not sure I quite understand the difference, or at least the reason you would use one over the other...In the 1st method, you can just add the Loader object using the addChild() method:
Code:
var myLoader:Loader = new Loader(); var myURLRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("ExternalFileA.swf"); myLoader.load(myURLRequest); Placeholder_mc.addChild(myLoader);
This will apparently add myLoader to the display list once it has completely loaded.The 2nd method, you supposedly can add the Loader.content; however, it appears you can only do this once the content has completed loading, so you need to incorporate an event handler with the contentLoaderInfo object:
Code:
var myLoader:Loader = new Loader(); var myURLRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("ExternalFileA.swf"); myLoader.load(myURLRequest);
[code]....
What are the pros/cons of adding the entire Loader object, as opposed to the Loader.content and vice versa?
It's been a long time since I've messed with actionscript, so I'm back to being a noob. I found a thread on this site that gave me some code that almost worked perfectly. The only problem is that it plays the first swf twice before moving on to the next swf. Once it moves on to the second swf... everything plays once then moves on to the next swf and loops continously - as it should. How can I get it to play correctly without the doubling of the first swf?
I am trying to create an fla file which will load and play an flv file. Once the flv reaches the end I then need it to load in another flv file which will then loop continuosly thereafter.
I have found some AS3 code to do this but I need it in AS2 as i also need to get the file to communicate with an audio player file.
Ultimately I need to have the video file hold on loading and then start playing once the audio player has loaded and started playing.
video loading/playing/looping and/or the communication between 2 swf files to trigger the video playing
I have a countdown timer and a click counter and I don't want for either of those to reset if the page were closed / refreshed. What I want is that once the timer and click counter start, nothing will interupt them. But the problem is that if i simply go to another page and back it resets everything. Here is my code...
I played around quite a bit and came up with exactly the effect I was looking for. Basically a movie clip with floating icons that come in and out of the stage. All was done in actionScript 3.0 and Code Snippets. There is no timeline per se, using the classic timeline view it is only one keyframe, the animation lasts for about 45 seconds.
I want the animation to loop continueously. Even in the HTML output I did click Loop Cont. under Publish settings. That does not work either.
I'm currently trying to load images and a few other nodes from an xml file.Once the xml file is loaded i determine the number of nodes in the file...create a loop which assigns each node into an array. My intentions are to create a image gallery which loads a dynamic amount of images. My problem now is i cannot figure out how to loop the loader component. Heres my code so far - (i'm thinking an object might work but not sure how to implement it)
Code:
var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); var xmlData:XML = new XML(); var xmlUrl:String = "slides.xml";
I'm trying to create a simple banner ad where the mouse hovers over the button and a panel shows up over some content of the site.Take a look at the one here in the center of the page: [url]....I have two different .swfs: the container, which is the button and a loaded swf that has the animation that comes up when the button is clicked. The button is only 183 x 40px where as the loaded swf is 183 x 160px.
When the loader swf is loaded, it takes the dimensions of the button.Is there a way to have the loader swf be its original dimensions, so when the mouse hovers over the button, the loader swf covers some of the content on the Web site? Is loading SWfs even the proper way to do this? Also, how can I change the MouseEvent to load the SWF when the mouse is only over the button and not clicking? The simple code I have so far:
stop(); var myLoader:Loader = new Loader(); open_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, loadBanner);[code].....
In my original thread my answer was given and I only needed to take the information and tweak it to make it apply throughout other instances in the code.This is marked as answered. The way I constructed the code heBecause each Movie Clip is individually handled, I was explained by Ned Murphy on this forum that I need to insert code for each individual clip to send it back to start when it comes off the stage because it is structured to go to infinity with the movie symbols continuing on their path.I get that. ittle code to add was provided for an example clip that started at the top of the stage and went down, then when it goes off the stage, go back. In this case it was for MovieClip_1 (Out of 15) The red was the additional code (Provided by Ned Murphy who is IMHO a Guru here) that was added :
I have a flash file with frame labels, home, profile, contact.it also has 4 separate photogalleries, gal1, gal2, gal3, gal4 also in frame labels. the galleries are all separate swf files. I used the UI loader and added gal1.swf and 3 more separate loaders for the rest of the galleries. What happens is after you select the first gallery the mouse becomes invisible because the loader is still on the stage. How do I remove the loader from the stage each time I use a button?
Im moving up from as2 and want to use buttons as shown in the code below. How do I empty holding container though eg "holder1" in this case.Here is Code:
I am having issues with this code, and I really cant figure out why. I am building a portfolio gallery, with one loader who loads 5 different .swf which load XML files. Everything work, but once I unloaded it to reload it, it says that its loaded but I dont see anything anymore... I probably tried a 1000 versions, but here is my latest code: Load the first gallery
I'm getting this sort of error while trying to load SWF's inside another swf (using the Loader)
ReferenceError: Error #1056: Cannot create property stageTitleLabel on Main. at flash.display::Sprite/flash.display:Sprite::constructChildren() at flash.display::Sprite$iinit() at Main$iinit()
I've kinda tracked down the issue to not having "Declare Stage Instances Automatically" checked, as I am declaring the stage instances in the code, so that the code will compile in Flash Develop as well as the IDE (i.e. in the flex compilor as wel as the IDE)
I am using the below code to load in external swfs. I normally put the preloader in the external swf but that does not work with this code. I therefore need to put the preloader in this swf. All the preloader need to be is the numbers (1-100).
Code: Select all/ /EXTERNAL SWF LOADER var loader:Loader= new Loader();
This is driving me crazy. When I preview in Flash, everything looks fine. When I preview in HTML. Not so much. I've created a gallery using xml and have the code centering (and otherwise positioning) each new loaded item by referencing each ones information.
It seems to have trouble doing this with the first swf and positioning it at 0,0 after I click through the forward/back buttons that swf moves to a different location on the stage. My guess is that the loader height and width get calculated as 0,0 before the image gets loaded, and then screws everything up from there.
as you can see it loads an new swf on top of my main. I did not relaize that because of a dropdown menu in the main.swf evrytime I load another swf on top ie obscures the dropdown. besides putting the dropdown in each swf and removing it from the main which would be the obvious, I wanted to avoid this as the loded swfs will have slideshow pro videos which will be a bit heavy.
Here is the thing : on rollover on thumbnails ( buttons)its preview has to appear on the top of it.My corrected code works fine exepted that my swf don't load in a good way..they load at 60 kms from the thumbnail...and in a distorted size!I don't get it.I turn the thing in all ways but it is getting worth...What is my mistake?Code for each button ( thumb)
on (rollOver) { _root.caption._visible = 1; _root.caption.image_mc.loadMovie("images.swf");
