Aug 19, 2010Is it possible to make some kind of clickable object that resets a flash file? Say you're in a game and your character gets killed. By clicking on a button you you're taken back to the start of the flash file and all the variable reset to their starting positions. Basically I just want to make a button that reloads the flash file the same as hitting the reload button on your browser (except that it just reloads the flash file and not the entire web page).

Aug 7, 2009I'm working on a Flash video slideshow (which you can preview here).
I would like to be able to make it so you can click a button (I've got one made in the doc already) that will make just the video on each "slide" go full screen, similar to how you can do so with other videos on sites like YouTube and others.
While what I've linked to above is just a template I'm messing with, I'd like to be able to have a video on the right, let's say, with text on the left, and then be able to click a button (perhaps under the video that says "full screen) and have the video that is there fill the whole window and play. And then, hitting escape would bring you back.
I've seen plenty of tutorials for making Flash go fullscreen, but nothing out there yet for just the FLV contained on the page go full screen.

This is just a part of the script, the whole thing will kinda look like a calendar, it will load certain dates from an XML file, cross-check them with the dates, and then it will mark them in a different way in the SWF. However this sample of code should just build arrays of days using the name of the month array, and days in it array.Later Im gonna check if dates from the xml match some dates in those arrays. If they will, it will change theyr apperance.

I want to make a HD 1080i HDTV 2-d technical video animation and wish to know if Flash is a good tool for this. This video would be used for corporate tradeshows on an hdtv. Specifically I want to combine pictures and overlay 2-d animated arrows, text balloons etc to make a 2-d technical animation of how a product line works. I need to have keyframed pans and zooms with this also. All this needs to be converted to 1920x1080P 29fps HDTV MP4. I own and proficient at Vegas Video 9 PRO NLE which can convert a variety of avi to mp4. My questions are.. Is adobe cs4 flash PRO able to do this with my other software?

Apr 15, 2011what im trying to do is make an interactive webssite 100% out of flash.on one of the pages in that website i would like to have one of my custom youtube players that youtube lets you make and gives you an embed code for.problem is that it is an HTML embed code.ive tried everything to get this to work and the best i could do was get the player to work in an independant .swf file but whenever i try to incorporate it into a page in my website and load it in a browser i get a security error saying that i cant let flash access youtube and i have tried everyway on google to get around that with no luck.

Sep 12, 2008I'm doing some cartoons for random clients, and they're going to need to look slick on HD televisions (1080). Is there a specific size I should design the flash movie at before hand? Right now I'm designing them at 1280 x 720, but when I burn the movie to a DVD and watch it, there is just a little but of pixel distortion during some of the movement (ex. you can notice some of the outlines looking odd as they move pixel from pixel). I'm wondering if this has to do with the size I set the stage at in Flash, or if it shouldn't even matter since it's mostly all vector art.
