ActionScript 3.0 :: Printing Without Any Dialog Window?

I'm doing a kiosk-type flash application. and i have a print function at the end of the application, to print the receipt... but..1) whenever I press the PRINT button in flash, it will pop out a printing preference window and I will have to press OK then it will print. In other words, is it possible to skip selection printer window? I must print "directly" the job in the default printer. I'm develping a kiosk application and need print a "receipt".2) and then is there any code to check if the printing succeed or fail? so that if it fail, i will display a fail msg in flash.. etc..

I have Flash CS4 10.0.1.545 Mac with OS X 10.5.6: I have the standard Workspace and when I select Import to import an image, the open file dialog in OS X slides down from the top of the stage and the entire Flash window that is holding my timeline and stage moves down about 100 pixels. I then import, then I click the top of the window to move it back up and it snaps back instantly as soon as I click on it before I drag it up.

I use Flex Builder 3 and SOAP WebService on the server side. I know how to do a basic authorization of the client app (using httpHeaders), but I can't solve the problem of how to kill the browser dialog box (username, password) when the client have done an incorrect authorization.

We are writing app for facebook. It's a game written in flash and embeded with wmode window.We get problem with Firefox 6, but only on Windows XP. When user invoke some facebook dialog (for example: pay dialog or buying more credits dialog) flash disappears. This same happens when user click on notifications (globe icon in top facebook menu) and hold it for a while (however this is not so important).After flash disappears it it still in DOM as <object>.

I have a sprite that has a scrollbar that uses the scrollrect feature. The sprite has several bitmaps and textfields. When I print the outer sprite (The one with the scrollrect) all of the textfields outside the scrollrect are cut after the first line. In case anyone else is having problems with printing sprites with scrollrects using the bitmap printing option fixes and prints most of the stuff in the sprite. Excluding all textfields outside of the scrollrect. This however can be fixed partially by embedding your fonts.
So now the only problem left is printing multiline textfields that are outside the scrollrect. P.S. Imho the scrollrect should have nothing to do with the printed area of the sprite because the printJob.addPage has a printarea parameter.

If I paste this url into my browser the flash app starts in the browser as expected but not with the jquery dialog obviously. Must be something wrong with my jquery code?

In an AIR application I have the following code:
theDialog = PopUpManager.createPopUp( this, TheDialogClass, true ) as TheDialogClass;
theDialog.addEventListener(FlexEvent.CREATION_COMPLETE, cpuIntensiveCalc);
At the end of cpuIntensiveCalc the dialog is removed. The dialog informs the user that "something is going on, please stand by."
The problem is that cpuIntensiveCalc starts before the dialog draws. So the user experience is that the application freezes for 10 seconds with no indicator, then the modal dialog flashes quickly (less than a second) on screen.
The Adobe docs say this about creation_complete
Dispatched when the component has finished its construction, property processing, measuring, layout, and drawing.
So this feels like the correct event. In the name of completeness, I also tried
theDialog = PopUpManager.createPopUp( this, TheDialogClass, true ) as TheDialogClass;

I'm working on a project in Actionscript 3.0 in Flash Pro. I want to create a confirmation box. If I were using the Flex SDK I could do this using the Alert class in the mx.controls package. However it seems that no similar control exists in the standard Flash library, and any amount of googling just leads me to Flex references.

I just created a xml editor in Flex that works perfectly, but i'm having trouble with save option. In fact he's saving quite well, the problem is that it is displaying a dialog box for saving the document, and i want to save and replace the file automatically when i click the save button without displaying the dialog box.
NOTE: I am using the FileReference class to use the method Save(), i read somewhere on the internet that FileStream class can be used for this, but i don't know how...

If the computer has internet conexion, the app has to check when open if the data xml file has changed in a web server, if so, has to download the new data.xml file and substitute the old one.
Since it is posible that the app runs when the computer is turn on at a certain time and there may be nobody to use the dialog box.

So, I'm pretty sure this is impossible, but is there any way to "re-skin" the box that pops up asking you if flash should be allowed access to your mic and webcam? I'd really love to make that box fit with the rest of the design of whatever I'm building.
Also, if I have several swfs that use the mic/webcam inside one larger shell swf, will the dialog box appear once for each of the sub-swfs, or just once for the large one, and those settings will be applied to all the sub-swfs?

I am building a map which has different layers on it, all on top of one another, all 700x700px and all movieclips. I have a print button (PrintUp) which sends the movieclips to be printed, however when I print, they don't sit on top of one another, they come out separately. How can I get them to print on top of each other like they are in the swf?
The two movieclips are "Background" and "Grass"
Both 700x700 and exactly the same X&Y.

I'm trying to make an online swf where the user can manipulate an image and in the end print it (for simplicity let's say I got a booth and people use my computer one after the other).
My problem is that the printer dialog that pops up when I wish to print really ruines the user experience. First of all I was wondering in it's possible to disable the print dialog box and make the app to print from the defualt printer (or some other way to choose the printer).
Secondly I thought about exporting the MovieClip I wish to print through dot net save the file and then print with javascript. The problem here is that beacause the file I save is not a vector type (I save as jpg or bmp) the print result really doesn't look good.

The pages where this dialog pops up is unrelated to the data being displayed so this is a separate model. How do I create a MATE mapping file that will create the dialog window, make it visible to the user, and then inject in data from a model?

I am developing a a game in Flash using the PureMVC framework. From time to time I need to show dialog pop-up window to get a user response back (e.g. "Cancel", "OK" and other kinds of asynchronous user feedback) while "locking" the background for interactivity.
I need some management for my pop-ups: all pop-up notifications should be stacked up, so that if two (or more) pop-up messages are initiated at the same time I show them one by one.
What's the best practice here? Should I employ a proxy to manage my pop-ups (sounds unreasonable). How do I get feedback back from my dialog? using notifications?

Is there a easy way to figure out consistently when a Dialog closes that has been created through PopUpManager. I would have suspected some type of message or callback mechanism, but there does not seem to be. In one case I use the WindowTitle component and event that only fires the CLOSE if someone presses the close and give no message when the dialog actually closes.
