How do I remove the video on the other pages?
I have this video I'm loading on a particular video page. It plays fine on that page, but when the user clicks to another page the video is still showing.

Similar to using VLC Player, and upening up a rtsp feed, it plays in the player. I need that exactly, or very close to using flash.
I'm trying out a page-flip program that tells me to create the pages as jpegs within a folder named "pages" in the Library. When I try to run it, it tells me it can't find the jpegs. I can get it to work locally by including the full URL (i.e., "...My Documentsedinnerpartiesimagesp3-large.jpg), but I know this isn't embedded in the swf file.

I want that to remove and place a graphic instead.

So I have a 5 page website, on the home page when I opens you see a video and it automatically plays. When you click to a different page though you can still hear the sound in the background. The video has an instance name of video, I tried using video.stop(); in the code for each button and it works but then it doesn't allow me to navigate when it isn't away from the home page.[code]...

As you can see, when the video finishes, it hops to frame 2 and continues to the website. What started happening on a few occasions, is the timeline would randomly jump back to frame 2 for no apparent reason. I'm assuming it's because I didn't remove the instance of the video, or something along those lines? This whole issue on;y started when I introduced the video.
I have a video player that is working great. What it does is it Buffers the video until enough of it has loaded that the playhead will not run into itself. That part works great, the issue I am having is there is a little message to let people know the video is buffering. The message is in a Dynamic textbox with an instance name of "loader" and a video with and instance name of "display".
Here is what I have, it just does not appear to be working.

What I want it to do is remove the loader text when the video is playing. They can play it manually or let the buffer do its thing. This does not seem to be working.
The problem which I am facing is that I have a video clip which has a black background. Now the website which I am working on has images in it. When i load this video clip externally by the action loadMovie("fire.swf", 2); the black background of the video clip also starts showing. I want this video clip to be transparent "without the black background".I have googled it, but all explains the "transparent Flash overlay", which is done with the HTML tags i.e <param NAME="wmode" VALUE="transparent">.
View 5 RepliesI'm doing a project that uses a looping video clip sized 1280x720 - but I just can't get flash to play this without a stop and a jitter when it loops. I've tried various implementations of looping code, currently I'm using a very simple variant: on the FLVPlayback component, I have

and that's it. There's nothing else in the scene, at all.
I've even tried using video at the size, yet that too stutters on loop. Is there any way to eliminate this, as it spoils the illusion of a continuous loop entirely. I'm using CS5 right now (recently upgraded from CS3).
edit: I'm using a PC that EASILY should be able to run HD video, if I check the Task Manager, it's using around 3-4% of the CPU, yet I still get poor performance and stutter on loop!

I need to remove any ability for the visitor to rewind the video, I need a button that will only come up at the end of the video that will be a link to another page.Is this something I would build from scratch? Does anyone know of a way I can satisfy these requirements with an existing player?

Now I am looking for a way to remove a preloader animation once the video starts streaming. The preloader is just an animation without a status (percent) bar. In plain English the code would be: if flv file is streaming, fade preloader animation I am also noticing that the first frame of the video shows while it's loading...is there a way to change it so that nothing is seen until streaming? If worst comes to worst I can always make a mask.
