ActionScript 3.0 :: Set The Buttons For Transform And Loading The Image?

I have been racking my brain with trying to convert [URL]../blog/distortimage into as3 im am very unfamilier with flex so I have become somewhat stuck can anyone I have set the buttons for transform and loading the image but its just not working at all.
I'm having trouble with loading in an external image that I can transform with the Senocular Transform Tool class. I have managed to load in the picture but the transform class doesn't seem want to grab it. Eventually I want to us the FileRef to upload the image but I just need to figure out how it works first. Here my code to load in the external image

The transform class can grab the other movieclips but it doesn't want to grab the new image loaded in from the code above.
most 3d picture wall animations do this. how do i make the transformation in flash, either by hand or by action script or both?
e.g. initial image the transformed img (the entire image should take the form of trapezium) transformed image should not be like this- in this case, parts of the image is cut off in the black parts.
I created a movie clip and I want it to changecolor by as3 . There is no problem with that but when I try to import my image in the movieclip, the color goes over it so I can't see it.

I have a free transform tool simulator that rotates an image when the middle top button is clicked and held. The image rotates to 180 and then stops. Does anyone know why it is getting stuck?I have enabled viewsource for the code. the method is in WidgetEditor.as
I have a movieclip and when I do 3D rotation from Transform panel, It rotates perfect, center is in the middle of image, and when I apply mc.rotationY, rotation center is in left of the image, aren't 3D rotation from Transform panel and mc.rotationY from AS same? what's up?
I'm trying to create a movie clip with images that will slide from one image to another using next and previous buttons. I want a sliding effect. For example on this site: [URL] The right side large image you can slide the image by using the arrows. That's exactly what I want...but in flash.
I am loading images of different size and then images are scaled and border is drawn for each image as shown in below link,[URL]... I want that border of images to be of the same width and height and for that I need to find out the max width and height size image before loading all the images. Is there any way that I can know the width and height of an image before loading it completely?
I developing a site where on the homepage, there are about 6 images that rotate, but if you click on a sub link, a different image loads. But the problem is that, the first image has to cycle through before the second image loads. I want the second image to load immediately.
[code]This script is for a loader image gallery in flash, as part of a class assignment. What happens is that in flash, when I open the swf file, the initial image (images/nair_evanescentautumn.png) will load fine. However, clicking on any thumbnail image (including the exact same images/nair_evanescentautumn.png), will result in an error saying the file cannot be found.I cannot figure out why it is doing this... I've tested it over. Clicking each thumbnail does go to the correct position in the two separate functions. All said full-size image links are in the folder images/, and replacing the initial loader image will load the other images in place of the default one. I tried searching for an answer to this on the forums and it seems you can't duplicate a movieclip that has a dynamically loaded jpg in it, I mean you just get a duplicate empty movieclip?What I want to do is have 3 copies of a pic, each tinted a little differently, and have them converge and reveal the "composite" of this pic. Do I then have to use loadMovie 3 times?Does loading the same 50kb image at the same time mean you're actually loading 150kb?
i was creating my portfolio using xml gallery script from this site. the thing is that it loads one picture at a the with a preloader between each load. is there a way to load the first image and keep loading the rest so there will be only one loading time? here is my action script:

I have a scrollPane that contains a textField which is loading an image via img tag where there is no scrollbars initially because the textField is not large enough in the beginning, but it is larger than the scrollPane after the image is fully loaded.. and I am trying to update the scrollPane once the image is fully loaded..

I made 1 image gallery. and i am facing a big issue. When one image is loading in my Loader object. If i click on next image button. It starts loading another image without canceling the existing image. So mutliple images appear at stage in this case. I want something that stops loading older image and start loading new image.

I am pretty new to Flash and AS3. I built a Flash site that loads external XML data that auto loads with each page containing it.url...On the second page "Wines", as you can see, the white wine list auto loads just fine. But I cannot get my actionscript to load the XMLs from the buttons on the right (ie: whites, reds, dessert, champagne) [code] Also, as of right now, in the script I have the wines (fom said XML list) pop up in a new window (go click one to see). But it pops up in a new browser instead of a "popup". This is because I could not find a way to combine the java script with the XML in the actionscript to specify the new window(parent). I would rather it just load into the box (movieclip) dynamically, but I could not get that to work either.[code] Not even my intro Flash teacher can help me nor is there a tutor around either. Im kind of in a bad position. Its just a matter of finding a person that knows Actionscript! No one knows it well enough in my class to help. I just spent 3 days making a drop-down-button-menu. It looks great.I added it to the HTML of my website, but everytime you load the page, you have to download the ActiveX control...How is it that people have drop-down-button-menus that are flash-based, yet they don't make you download the ActiveX control? Should I just scrap my buttons and try to use CSS, or HTML, or Javascript?

This code all works but when it loads the swf you can still press the other buttons which then load in the appropriate swf's. My problem is that i want the user to press the button, lets say "portfolio_btn" which loads in an swf called "01.swf" and for the user to not be able to press any of the other buttons until the "01.swf" has loaded and the same for all the other buttons loading in swf's.
On the stage I have buttons that should load different swf. Usually I should put all the code on a single "action" layer. But, it is not what I want to do I have a movie clip that I want to play before the loading ( button click - movie clip - loading the swf).

i would like to load external URL to my flash buttons from XML but no idea how to do it. There is 100 buttons. Buttons have unique names and i need to load url from xml to each button by the name of it and on click action go to this url. Any idea ?

I animated 4 flash buttons in one .fla file. When you rollover each button, an animation should play. However, when I preview the .swf in Dreamweaver, the rollover buttons only work HALF the time. I tried putting a preloader on the .fla file as well as toggling the quality to low in the original .fla, but it still only works half the time?

create a multidimensional array which will pull text, swfs, and/or images from an xml file based on which button is clicked.What I don't understand is how to pull the swf or image file from the file like I have with the text.
