However, I can't just state this in the fx:Script tags, so what is the best way to implement this? enterFrame="application1_enterFrameHandler(event)" works
I am trying to define a flash movie with a fixed width but 100% height. I have the movie setup with an onResize handler. My problem seems to be in the HTML. I can get it to go 100% width and height or have it aligned top left but not centered.

Maybe the title is not self explanatory but in most iphone games eg you click the correct example and you see a +100 points mc appear and rise and alpha out. I did this with a png done in photoshop BUT not all goes well - it doesn't work.

It seens perfct but I can't see it work. The funny thing is that the custom currentBubble - with a dot after you see the code hints but a dot after pb100 - you see no code hints. Well not normal.

I have a Canvas control with a fixed width and a horizontal scrollbar.I'm trying to find the actual width of the control.The .width (fixed width) + the part being revealed by the scrollbar.I tried explicitWidth, width + maxHorizontalScrollPosition, and some other combos but non of them hit the spot.

the close_btn.width and height remain 0. Am I supposed to just rely on the DisplayObject members of the SimpleButton completely and ignore width/height/x/y or what?

When you resize the browser window - currently - you can make the button on the right sink under the three on the left.

THe problem i am having is setting the button width to the text width. currently the buttons are all the same width and if the text is larger then it just cuts off. Once I've set either the width or percentWidth property on a flex label, is there a way to reset the width to its default (i.e., the width of the text plus padding)? I'm using the label as a renderer. In some cases, I'd like it to automatically size to the text, and in other cases, I'd like it to be a percentage width of its container. Obviously, I could use two separate labels, one for each of the above cases, but I'm curious if it's possible to reset the label to its default behavior.

I made a photo gallery website. Now I built a simple preloader in the first frame. When getBytesTotal=getBytesLoaded, then gotoAndPlay(2). There are NO library items exported in first frame (but there are items exported for Actionscript), BUT the preloader only appears when already 60% is loaded!Anyone any ideas what the MC does load before entering the first frame?
View 7 RepliesI added a simple preloader to my website in the 1st frame. When all is loaded, the movie continues to the 2nd frame. I had a few library items exported as actionscript and exported in first frame. I unchecked ALL export in first frame checkboxes. BUT (although my movie now misses a few MCs), my preloader still only appears when already over 60% of the movie is loaded. What is still being loaded before the movie enters 1st frame?

View 3 RepliesI have a Movieclip on stage with nested movieclips inside. All referenced at 0,0. None of the child movieclips load any dynamic content, animate or have Masked Layers. It does have an input textfield in one of the child MCs. The parent MC shows 280 px width, while it returns 313 px with a .width trace. There is no code that alters the .width value of the parent MC at run-time. And the ParentMC on stage is not scaled (it is at 100% width/height)
