I have a "Loader.exe" that loads a bunch of external swfs. Ideally, I would've liked to be able to give my client just 1 exe, so that they wouldn't have to deal with multiple files/directories etc. However; each of the external swfs have audio, and in some cases video, which makes trying to combine everything into 1 .fla prohibitive because the file size of that .fla shoots through the roof. Even just trying to navigate through graphics to edit animation becomes a sloooow process.
So, I was trying to come up with ways to bundle/package my Loader.exe as well as the external swfs into a single file (almost like a .zip file). I know there are 3rd party programs out there (Flash Jugglor) that can do this... but I was hoping there may be some built-in feature. So, I thought using a Flash Project (.flp) might be able to accomplish something similar, but I could only find the following couple of sentences about FLPs:
"Create a new Flash Project file (*.flp). Use Flash Project files to group related files (*.fla, *.as, *.jsfl, and media files), set up publish settings for the group, and implement version control options."
I would like to add a widget board to my flash project so users can embed my project in their web page or wiget display. I have a CodeIgniter project and I made a back-office in Flex. I was wondering how I can implement the Flex project in my CodeIgniter since I'm working with routing I can't route to any directory. So there isn't a way to display the back-office.
I cant "center" my project, like you can see its "fixed" (yellow lines) in the left side and I cant see "invisible" part of project... (area around the project). how can I move my project so I can see the not-project area around the project. (picture 2).

I have set up a Flash Project to publish two FLAs simultaneously.However, when I click on "Test Project" I get the following error message:Quote:Cannot open a protected movie.However, when I publish each of these FLAs independently, I do not get the error message and the file publishes and runs with no problem.
I am working on this one project that has a couple of movieclips (already placed on stage) which have a custom class set to export via the Library. Each of those custom classes loads an external SWF using URLRequest().
Is it possible (or, what is the best way) to preload the whole project first, including the external SWFs?
With parent artifactId of swf, swc, war set to swf, swc, test respectively.On executing mvn on test folder(for that matter clean or anything) I get this following error.

Looks like its trying to download the project from maven's central repository instead of building it.
I have 2 flex projects which were create in flash builder 4.5.....how can i call one project from second??? the best would execute to the same window.... I'm interesting about both possibility (in browser and air too).
I've recently started making a game in FlexBuilder. The game is currently a Flex project. Is there any downside to using Flex as opposed to just Actionscript? A friend of a friend told me that Flex is slower than an Actionscript project. I've been unable to validate this on the internet; is there any truth to that claim?
I have one Eclipse Workspace containing two projects. - The first is my actual library. - The second is example code for using the library.When I push this code to GitHub, I don't want two separate projects, I want the example code to go into an "example" folder of the second library.How and where would I do this? I am going to make an Arabic application using Flex builder 4.5. I have two questions that need to be answered What is the difference between ActionScript Mobile Project and Flex Mobile Project. (AS Mobile Project supports iOS and Android but I doubt about it!!) Is Arabic support available in Flex Mobile Projects or AS Mobile Projects? I know TLF supports Desktop and web apps but does it support mobile platforms?
I have a user with a brand new image including Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and the Adobe CS5. When creating a project in Flash CS5 and then trying to view it in Safari & Firefox the plug-in crashes which then brings down the browser with it.I went and installed Flash CS3 (as this is what he is used to using) and the problem still persists.
I'm new to flash mx 2004 and I'm having a problem publishing and playing my finished project. Every time I try to play or publish the project I get a 'The Flash program is out of memory. Please increase virtual memory on your PC' message. I was originally working on a 1 gig RAM PC and thought this was the problem. I've since borrowed a 2 GIG RAM PC which allowed me to do a little bit more work before I got the same problem. I then got a 4 GIG PC and was able to finish the project but if I try to play it or publish it the program crashes. Any Ideas. This is a college project which I need to publish as a windows exe file and I can't do it. I don't know what's wrong. The project is about 280 meg in size. I tried to 'save and compact' but it still crashes. I also tried to debug the flash project and it crashed again. I'm baffled as I think a 4 GIG PC should be ample and I no longer think that this is entirely a RAM problem anyway.

I will be doing a band's website to promote their music, and the idea is to make a 3D render of a circa 1960's Ed Sullivan Theater stage, where the Beatles had their legendary Television performance.
The difference is that it would be slightly modernized for the 2000's... so there would be a large screen at the back ala U2.This is the Ed Sullivan Theater Stage when the Beatles performed on it:
Instead of the beatles, there would be 2D cartoonish cardboard cutouts of the band I am doing the website for. (The idea is that the cutouts are stand ins for the actual band)In flash, clicking on a navigation link would perform a camera weave through the cardboard cutouts to a jumbo-tron type of television screen at the back of the stage, where relevant information would be displayed.
The render doesn't have to be photo realistic. the band has a running cartoonish theme going on 3 of their album covers. I would say something akin to how the Gorrilas videos look would be appropriate. I have a friend that is a cartoonist that will be a consultant on this, and do the drawings of the band members.
Again, it's just the stage that needs to truly be in 3D, as the band members will be 2 dimensional. The band members will be carboard cut-outs on the stage. They're placement on the Sullivan Theater stage will be in 3D, though.I don't have much money set aside for the development, so I need a cheaper solution than using Maya or whatever the big boys use to render 3D models.
I am trying to create an Actionscript project in Flash Builder 4. However when I debug or run it always runs in the Flash IDE. I want it to run in the standalone flash debugger without the Flash IDE! This is driving me crazy. I'm on Mac if that makes a difference.
I am having trouble transforming pure as3 projects written in flash into Flash builder projects.
I have a series of simple tutorials covering basic elements of actionscript 3. These were written in flash using the document class.
I would now like to switch over from using Flash to using Flash Builder.
Is there any way to import each of these working as3 files into new FB projects?
When I try to import using either "import > other > existing projects" or "import > Flash Builder Project" or "import > General > File system" I am not able to complete my import because (obviously) I am not importing a valid Eclipse project.
Is there no way to load a directory of AS3 into FB, set one of the classes as the "default application" and have FB build a new project around it?
I could create a new project in FB and then move the assets in manually, but I have over a hundred of these! It would be nice to be able to move from one environment to the other without difficulty.

I made my flash website on my wide screen laptop, and it looks fine in my browser but when i look at it on a normal monitor it looks too big and streches across the screen. Is there anyway i can get it to stay the same size on different resolutions. I'm currently using As2

I have been asked to create an interactive flash project where the user would be able to click on a main image and depending on what part of the image they click on, a movie clip plays, then goes back to the main image.
I am sure this is basic, but I have been researching, watching tutorials, etc for a week now and can't seem to get it to work. I am by no means a Flash expert and have really never worked in it. I do more Photoshop and Illustrator-type work. So Actionscript is new to me and really the whole interface is as well.

have been making a digital portfolio that I plan on putting up as a website. Once before the project has gotten very large (at the time 500megs). Now this originally large project had gotten to the point where it was telling me there wasn't enough memory. What I did to fix this was copy and paste all the frames from each scene into several new projects and then piece those new projects together to remake my complete project.
I am now doing this again but at this point piecing back the last scene of mine is taking up too much memory. I have 4 gigs of memory on a 3.06 GHz intel core 2 duo imac. first off, should this be happening? Should 4 ghz be enough? second, it appears that flash projects tend to compile a lot of baggage; is this true? Thirdly, is there any way I can fix this without buying two more 4 gig memory cards?
