Why do people use flash when uploading files, same thing can be achieved by normal upload box?URL...Using asp.net is it possible to get upload progress without using flash?
I'm looking for a good jQuery plugin that allows HTML5 video playback, with graceful fallback to Flash (and potentially further, to default system player, etc). I've googled, but nothing I've found has been quite what I'm looking for.
From a button in Flash I just want to call a function written in jQuery.When I place the function outside jQuery's $(document).ready it works fine:[code]
i am quite newbie towards to actionscript 2.0 cos i am now learning on actionscript 2.0 here is the file attachment for you to check.Greetings.zipOutput cannot be worked.I am hoping to see the exact output:Greeting = Hello!Salutation = undefinedSubject: Brick Oven
I've been trying to do as the client requested : redirect to campaign page then to destination page once a customer clicks on the top banner in swf format.If you are using Firefox, Chrome or Safari, I suspect you can reach the destination page.However, if you are using IE or Opera, I doubt it.I think to cause of such a weird problem is:The swf ojbects don't have a link to url, SO I have to hack the theme template file like this :
<div id="header">'; /* * A quick and dirty way to put some swf into PHP, and rotate among them ...
I have website I am developing and I have an intro SWF that I have placed the following AS 3.0 code in the last frame to call the Jquery function "trigger" ; or I might be able to detect the end of the movie and then fire the function.
PHP Code:
import flash.external.ExternalInterface;ExternalInterface.call("trigger")trace ("the movieEnded");stop();
When I create a new tween in the global scope in order to use it many times in my functions, I have to stop to avoid its execution. Is it normal ? Or maybe I should put it into a function and call the tween function everytime I need to use it... mhm. Maybe I answered by myself
My question deals directly with ActionScript 3, although it could possibly appear in other languages. Consider the global trace function found in AS3. Calling the method requires no imports and is globally available from all classes. class A { public function A() { trace("Hello, A!"); // Hello, A! }}
Now, what if I create my own class method of the same name? In AS3, if I have a class method trace and then make a call to trace elsewhere in my class, the call is made to the class method over the global function. Essentially, I've blocked my ability to call the global trace method. class B { public function B() { trace("Hello, B!"); // no output } public function trace(s:String):void { // do something else. }}
Now, I know the obvious answer is to say, "don't create a class method called trace." But what if I'm unaware of the existence of the global trace function? Or what if I have a desire to "override" or "block" the global function? Is doing so bad programming? Or is this just another example of how AS3 is a poor object oriented language?
i cannot get exactly how to make "global function" for call them so. I want to make a function in my MainMovie.as class that can be call from MyButton.as class. Or declare a function in any class and use it from any other class.
I've found the making the functions "static" does the work, but those cannot be apply to the "this." (intances). like:
I need to get a javascript var in my Flash application. I like to be able to just set a variable in the javascript (client constraints) rather than define a function.
Can this be done? I am trying to use the ExternalInterface.call()
I've set up a function to pause the sound in an mp3 player whenever certain things are clicked on the page, using ExternalInterface, but I'm having a problem in IE.The setup is this: I have a video page that calls up a list of YouTube videos using RSS.he most recent video is displayed on the page in a div called "display". Then all the rest of the videos in the feed are displayed as thumbnails and links...If you click one of them, then the main 'display' video is replaced and it starts playing. All of that works fine.hat I want is for the mp3 player on the page to pause the music whenever a video is started.The ExternalInterface function works properly. Whenever one of the LINKS is clicked, the mp3 player stops and the video starts, etc.
The problem is that I also want it to stop when the MAIN video is clicked. Obviously, since this is an external video loaded from YouTube, I can't access the FLA to add its own ExternalAccess code.I've tried adding an ID to the video object and then using it as the selector in jQuery to call the stopMovie function...no go. I've tried adding a class to it, and then calling the stopMovie function when the class is clicked. I've tried putting the click function on the div that the video loads into...nothing works. If I remove the main video and just have an empty div, then click the div, the mp3 player stops...but if I load the video into the div and click it, nothing happens (in IE...it DOES work in FF).The Actionscript:
import flash.external.ExternalInterface; ExternalInterface.addCallback("stopMovie", pauseSound); function pauseSound(str:String):void {
how to execute the code below from a javascript funtion when the body unloads this is a flash function but I would like it executed from a js function.
Code: function delay(pFunc:Function):Void { this.onEnterFrame = function() { pFunc(param);[code]....
It's stripped down to reproduce my issue.I want to change the scope of the event, so that when test is called, it traces "_level0 instead of "[object Object". I was thinking Delegate.create() would be the way to go, but I can't figure out how to get that to work within the scope of this function.
I'm having a problem calling a function from a different level.I have my main movie 'Mymovie.swf' in which I add a level(with loadMovie) with this code:
loadMovie("MyNewMovie.swf", "_level1"); On a button in MyNewMovie.swf, I try to call a function in 'Mymovie.swf', by doing: on(release){ _root.MyFunction(); // or even: _level0.MyFunction(); }
Are there any plugins for Flash CS3 (or greater) that expand Flash's ability. Actually, i'm sure there are, where can I find them?Preferably free and from places besides Adobe. (Not that Adobe's bad, but I want variety.)
i need to make the same call, but from flash. i am pretty sure this would be done using ExternalInterface.call(); however, i am not sure how this would be done. can anyone shed some light on this? i tried doing the following, but to no avail:
I need to create a splash page type thing. It needs to play a flash movie and then when that movie has finished show a full screen image using html/js. THe movie will be flash and the image display will be javascript powered.
I have a Debug class I've written, and I'd like to include a static trace() method in there, unfortunately I have no idea how to then access global / top level trace as effectively I've blocked it with the local static scope.[code]
Specifies the value of thisObject to be used within any function that ActionScript calls. This method also specifies the parameters to be passed to any called function. Because apply() is a method of the Function class, it is also a method of every Function object in ActionScript. i don't get how "thisObject" is accessible from within the function invoked with it's apply method i'm trying to pass the scope of one class to the function of another so that the keyword "this" in the target function refers to the passed scope or am i misunderstanding the apply() method? it appears to behave differently between as2.0 and as3.0 as well, try this example code from the adobe docs
