I'm trying to use this effect for a flash image banner that I have, but something is missing from these instructions because when I test the movie, all I get are large white lines covering my images rather than the transparency of the mask over the image http:[url].....

I am trying to create a full-frame photo slideshow/photo transition like the one on this site-It shows a random background photo each time a link is clicked and has a nice diagonal "wipe" effect for a transition. Then photos of their work are shown when exploring that section. How would I generate the random photos and transition effect upon clicking a link?
View 2 RepliesI've been asked to incorporate a slideshow into a website that I'm working on, which is fine, except they have seen a particular tranition effect that is used between images, this can be seen on these two sites...[URL]. Its kind of a bleach effect? Which I presume is achieved using some sort of tween engine like Tweenmax or the Fusekit? The Honda site also has a nice second transition effect which is pretty cool, where dots kind of fall away? Has this just been done on the timeline?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to dynamically load images into this slideshow. I have 2 MC's, one with an animated mask, one without. I am trying to load an image into the first MC, have the mask reveal it, then load that image into the 2nd MC which is behind this one. This way, when the next image loads and has the mask show it, the other image will still be on the stage behind the new one, and so forth.Here is the excerpt of code from where the main actions are being done..

I was able to take an existing Flash file created in '06 and make a simple slideshow. See it at: [URL]. Now I've been asked to add buttons and make the slides fade instead of slide into each other. They want it like this: [URL]. So I created a very simple mock up: [URL]. I just can't get the buttons to work like the prosolassociates one above. I have attached the FLA here for review.

I am trying to make a image slideshow for my companies new website. I used the Flash Image Viewer plugin from Dreamweaver, but it doesn't contain the transitional effect desired.
Every tutorial I find talks about advancing the images through an interactive control, I just want the images to change by themselves and do a fade transitional effect between images. Can anyone please point me to a tutorial that has this w/o the intractive buttons? I have been looking on the internet for hours and can only find tutorials / example w/ the intractve controls.
I have a code I am using for a "snow" effect for a banner. It works very good!But, I can NOT turn it off!! I would like to activate it in scene 2, deactivate it in scene 3 and reset it before the entire clip loops.Here I have included the coding along with the comment tags to help out..

I am building a banner ad and I am using Flash CS4. I need it so when someone clicks the banner it takes them to the page in a new window. Its just a a simple URL and I keep getting syntax errors now and I dont know how to do this properly. I have tried these methods.

I have created a pie preloader(preloader.zip) which is working fine. Same preloader I am trying to incorporate in a xml based slideshow(slideshow.zip) to show image loading process but some how I got stuck. I am new to flash. Suggestions are welcome.
1. How to solve the problem of preloader2. Is it possible to integrate everything in a movie clip (including AS). I mean no AS on main time line but inside the movie clip. It would be much easier then to to create multiple slideshows by duplicating mc and changing the xml file.
i have a question about text in a slideshow. i know how to make a basic photo slideshow with external images. but now what i want to do is add 4-5 paragraphs of text next to each photo (with possible scrolling). the text will be different on each photo.

View 14 RepliesI really like the text effect Pom used in the footer contest, and would like to use the same grid-type method of creating mc letters but with a different effect. i understand how to change the parameters and shapes of the letters, but can't seem to figure out which piece of code is purely for the explosion effect. basically, i want the letters but with the 'Repel' effect from[URL] here is Pom's AS:

It's a bit of decoration to go behind a logo. When the dMove var is commented out I get the appropriate line of squares fading in and out at random spots along the x = 78 axis, but when introduced nothing appears at all...

I want to be able to make a movie clip (that acts as a button) so the roll over effect finishes before the roll off effect is triggered. Like if a marker circles a button, i want the circling animation to stop before the roll off effects happens. Anyone know how to do this.

Based on my knowledge of Photoshop and some... and by some I mean very VERY little Flash... I took it upon myself and another member of the community to create this.
All was going well until the member decided it wasn't his cup of tea. Basically, he didn't like that he couldn't do it well enough.

I am trying to build a web banner, the functionality of which has to be pretty identical to the one on the following home page http://www.perfectblue.co.uk/. The only difference is that I am using static images, not flvs like in that banner. I am sitting here planning how to build it but its going right over my head. Can anyone give me any advice about how to script something that works like that? At a first glance, I thought possibley onRollOver / RollOut functions but now I'm not so sure.
View 2 RepliesI am trying to create a flash banner ad that loads when a page loads and gives the user the option to minimize it. When the ad is minimized, I wanted to leave a box (that could also function as a mini version of the larger ad)that could be clicked and reload the ad if desired.
I have been struggling with how to do this. I tried creating two movies, one for the main ad and one for the smaller box that remains after the ad is minimized. I inserted the object code for the larger ad into my html and it loads and will load the smaller ad then the button (for minimizing the ad) is clicked but the smaller ad loads in the area defined by the object code for the larger ad. I am not sure how to work around this.
the banner i just created was the size of my browser when i opened it on the internet, how do i get the banner to act within its dimensions (468 px by 100 px)

I have made 1 Flash banner 728x90, the next one has smaller dimensions (468x60) but the proportions are the same so, I duplicated the document, grabbed the movie clip containing the animation and used the transform tool to make it the correct size.Some of the images need replacing as resizing didn't treat them well. But since I am trying to add them to the resized movie clip they appear too small.

URL...as you can see ive uploaded everything possible to do with the banner rotator with a little help from a guy on this forum. (if your veiwing in firefox the site may look messed up) and it just stays loading for ages and doesnt eventually load.and if anyone knows the code so my site can be viewed in all screen resolutions without having to slide across at the bottom.
