I am trying to create a full-frame photo slideshow/photo transition like the one on this site-It shows a random background photo each time a link is clicked and has a nice diagonal "wipe" effect for a transition. Then photos of their work are shown when exploring that section. How would I generate the random photos and transition effect upon clicking a link?
View 2 RepliesI really like the text effect Pom used in the footer contest, and would like to use the same grid-type method of creating mc letters but with a different effect. i understand how to change the parameters and shapes of the letters, but can't seem to figure out which piece of code is purely for the explosion effect. basically, i want the letters but with the 'Repel' effect from[URL] here is Pom's AS:

View 1 RepliesI've been asked to incorporate a slideshow into a website that I'm working on, which is fine, except they have seen a particular tranition effect that is used between images, this can be seen on these two sites...[URL]. Its kind of a bleach effect? Which I presume is achieved using some sort of tween engine like Tweenmax or the Fusekit? The Honda site also has a nice second transition effect which is pretty cool, where dots kind of fall away? Has this just been done on the timeline?
View 1 RepliesI am trying to dynamically load images into this slideshow. I have 2 MC's, one with an animated mask, one without. I am trying to load an image into the first MC, have the mask reveal it, then load that image into the 2nd MC which is behind this one. This way, when the next image loads and has the mask show it, the other image will still be on the stage behind the new one, and so forth.Here is the excerpt of code from where the main actions are being done..

I was able to take an existing Flash file created in '06 and make a simple slideshow. See it at: [URL]. Now I've been asked to add buttons and make the slides fade instead of slide into each other. They want it like this: [URL]. So I created a very simple mock up: [URL]. I just can't get the buttons to work like the prosolassociates one above. I have attached the FLA here for review.

I am trying to create a flash program that will create a slideshow on the fly. I have a collection of music and images that I want to put in the show. The program will pick a piece to play randomly and the next image to show is also picked randomly. However, the speed at which the images will be shown in the show is decided by the tempo/speed/mood of the music at that moment. In one piece of music there will faster and slower movement, and the slide will fade in sooner if the music is faster and vice versa. The show will keep running until the program quits.
View 2 RepliesI am trying to make a image slideshow for my companies new website. I used the Flash Image Viewer plugin from Dreamweaver, but it doesn't contain the transitional effect desired.
Every tutorial I find talks about advancing the images through an interactive control, I just want the images to change by themselves and do a fade transitional effect between images. Can anyone please point me to a tutorial that has this w/o the intractive buttons? I have been looking on the internet for hours and can only find tutorials / example w/ the intractve controls.

I want the background of the slideshow to be white and images to be placed into this box for the user to be able to manually go through the images.

What I try to make in Flash is some kind of interactive slideshow, with .swf files instead of static images. I want to have kind of control pannel with buttons numbered from 1 to n, always visible at the front layer. In the background, there will be swf files that change, for example, every 30 seconds. And each change consists of fade in and fade out effect of the swf container (and so the loaded swf file itself). During the swf changes, the buttons should change too by switching their states from 0 to 1 and so on. User should be able to skip to any frame he wants by clicking the corresponding button.This is the code I already have:

This is my first flash project and I am attempting to create a slide show that automatically changes frame after a certain time, but also have buttons for each frame. [URL] is the page where i have the flash slideshow on. I used a tutorial to make the nav bar, and used what I learned there, as well as some googling to attempt the slideshow. So far I think its turned out pretty good, but I have a problem. THe buttons work fine, but the auto change gets stuck on the second slide, even if I click to a differnet button to goes back to frame 2. Which makes me think that the function doesn't even go past the if(frame==1). here is the code

I am trying to create a simple 6 frame flashplayer type object, and I want a movie clip in each frame. So frame 1 has movieclip1 and frame to has movieclip2 and so on. I display this information in a movieclip that has several dynamic textfields. My problem is this. PHP calls the information in descending order. I want the most recent post to display first, that's why I do it that way. How can I reverse cycle through the nodes. There will be five. I'd like to use the id attribute as the reference to cycle through the nodes. I'd also like there to be a 15 second delay for each slide. I guess I'm basically creating a text slideshow. 15 seconds with an option to pause.

View 1 Repliesim trying to create a flash effect using a mask layer.i want to have a text box which is invisible, and throu the timeline small peices of a mask layer will move over the text box, revealing the text. My problem is this, if i create a mask layer with more than 1 object, when i try to move the objects (for example in different directions so the text will reveal from both sides) then i get a weird movement from the objects (like the sum of both movements i wanted) so i was think maybe a layer can contain only one moving object.So i just cant figure how can i get the effect i want.

View 5 RepliesI am trying to create an interative catalog for my small business.( I would like to do something similar to the online catalog that Kohls department store has [URL]... When the user goes to the corner, I would like the page to curl and give them the ability to turn it like a book. I would also like to keep all of my interactive scripting on each page (ie small popup box when the user rolls over an item, larger popup box when they click on an item) I am currently using Flash Pro CS5 to create the rollover/popup boxes, but do not know how to create the page curl effect. I know that InDesign can apply this effect to my pages, but am having issues with this working completely.
I have placed my flash pro cs5 .swf file (which contains my invisible buttons and scripting.) into my InDesign doc. I then export this InDesign doc as a .swf and also generate an html file. When I open the swf or html file, there is a big grey flash logo on the page. If I click on it, the page loads and I am able to interact as I would like and also turn the page with the curl effect. The problem is that every time I turn the page it loads the gray flash logo and I have to click on it again to load the page. An even bigger problem is when I embed the InDesign swf file to my webpage the gray flash logo is still there and even when I click on it, it doesnt load the page. Is there a way to get both interactivity (ie rollover/popupboxes) and the page curl effect I want? Is there a program that will make it easy for me to do both?
I'm struggling to create an effect that I thought wouldn't be to complex to complete, however several hours latter...still can not make it work.
Using Motion tween Im attempting to make an image fade up! Meaning the image slowly fades up from the bottom of the image until the whole image can be seen.
I've tried using the fade effect and adding a masked layer that's tweened, however it fades in very harshly indeed, with the line of the mask very obvious.
Is there any way that I can do this so that it looks smoother and the line is less distinctive.

Right so I was just wondering how I would go about creating a 'spotlight' effect on an image in flash. I want to use a background image which is only visible within the 'spotlight' (e.g. everything outwith the spotlight is just black). The spotlight must be able to be controlled by the user (I know how to do that bit at least)
