IDE :: Embedded Swf Will Only Play Inside Subfolder, Need It On Index Pg?

getting a rotating banner I downloaded to actually work on my home page. So I'm using FrontPage 2003. I've got my index page open and I select Insert, Picture, Movie in Flash Format. I browse through my subfolder and select the swf file. But it will not play!However, when I follow the exact same steps, but on a page that is located within the subfolder where all the files are located, the video plays just fine. So I know it probably has something to do with my file path, but I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. My files are located like this:
root -
index.html
subfolder-
(There is the deploy folder which has two subfolders in it - banner and js.)
I've tried copying and pasting all of the files so they're in the root folder, and then embedding the swf, and it still doesn't work.I've tried editing the banner.xml page and telling all the folder paths to start from the root folder, and that hasn't worked either.
I've spent like the past 5 days trying to get this to work as a client has given me 100GB of videos that are in subfolders. For some reason I'm unable to play media from any subdirectory in vod.

I've also tried as the server rtmp://localhost/vod/subfolder/ but it does not work. I've also tried in the stream "mp4:subfolder/movie.mp4" that doesn't work either.
I have my flash document set up in the following way: On the main timeline I have my buttons that I want to play movie clips embedded inside a movie clip on the main timeline.However, when I click each different button, the current movie clip stops playing and then the movie clip corresponding to the button plays.
I want them all to be able to play at once. So for example you push button 1 and the alien plays, but half way through you could click button 2 and the alien clip would keep playing, but also the helicopter clip would begin to play as well.Here is the code I have so far:

I've got a problem with firefox for mac and z-index.I've got 3 div: header, wrapper and footer; inside of them i've got 3 swf header.swf, wrapper.swf and footer.swf.This is the code:
main.swf has a button that when clicked activated loadMovieNum 1.swf on top of main. I need a button on 1.swf to unloadMovie back to main (works) but when the main.swf is loaded I need it to go to a specific frame. I tried this on the button in swf 1 and the first part works but how can I get the videoindex.swf 0 to play a frame?

How can I have a video (or youtube video) play on loading my website with the option to "skip". If the skip video is clicked then that will redirect to the index.html however how can I set it up so that when the Video finishes playing it automatically loads the index.html in the website.
(If the video has to be embedded in the index.html so that the rest of the website is elsewhere that's fine too).
I'm having an issue with getting a simple flash image swap file displaying on a website I'm building and was wondering if anyone can tell me what I've missed. I built the image swap slideshow which is just a simple blend through four images. It uses the loadMovie to import the images from the directory the movie is sitting in so the loadMovie command just references the jpg files directly with no extra directory info. The swf file and the image files it loads are all in a subdirectory off the root called flash. The page I want to display the swf movie on is actually the index html page in the root directory of the website. So I used this html to display the swf file.
The code below on works when my xml and swf file are located in the same directory as the html file. However, when i move both file to a sub directory, nothing shows. I have tried using the absolute path but not much luck.
I have an external swf called "home". On the "home" stage is a button, and when this button is clicked, im wanting it to play a movieclip on the Flash document the container resides in (index.swf).
I'm creating a banner navigation with quick animation and I just want to PLAY the animation when user visit the page for a first time OR only in homepage (index page).Basically when visitor go to another pages, they won't see the "banner" animation over & over again. How to accomplish this ?
I recently installed FMS 3.5.1 and then upgraded it to 3.5.3 on a Windows 2003 server. In both versions, I can not stream .f4v or .mp3 from a subfolder. The .flv file plays fine. I used the default configuration settings, sample .f4v and .flv files provided by the installer. I used the sample player in C:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 3.5samplesvideoPlayer as the client.
i was wondering how can I use the buttons inside an Embedded SWF? here's the scenario: The artist gave me the "title screen" swf with all the animations, buttons and stuff. I code using FlashDevelop and i can just create seperate swf for the buttons and place it on top of the title screen. but if only i can just use the buttons that are already present inside the Embedded SWF will make our life easier.

When i run the main movie, it is looking for the Thumbs folder in the root folder. How can i make the images load from the subfolder?
I have made a html file in which a swf is embedded with swf object. this swf contain dynamically loaded audio files. It works fine in offline but when it is uploaded it does not show the movie(swf is not playing) I see only empty space. i thought that it may take time to load, but even after waiting for long time the swf did not play and it shows blank white space. swf that is at 30fps. So by default, it plays at 30fps. Is there any way using code I can slow down this subswf to play at 12fps...and not automatically go to the default of the root swf's fps?
I have a swf that contains two layers, one with embedded video, one with some other crap. Either through actionscript and/or a transparent button, I want the movie to repeat endlessly on rollover and stop on rollout. I understand the basics of how buttons and movieclips work, but I have not been able to convert the embedded video into a movieclip to make this easy.
I posted a question similar to this not so long ago however I have trawled through the forums and could not find an answer...I am using Lightwindow which is a version of lightbox that can have ANY form of content and DOES support .swf files.I have linked the test link on my page to activate lightwindow and open the swf file. Light window opens the window to the correct size but does not display any content. If I go directly to the flash file then all the test images load.Here is the code for that link:

I have one swf banner which I want it into .aspx page. The website runs ok under http and the banner plays correctly. After we set the website to run under https, the banner stopped to load. I've tried to load this banner via http link from inside https running page. Nothing happened as well.
I'm new to Flash, and obviously AS3 (or AS in general) and am currently making a menu in which I have 2 video files.I want people to be able to play and pause (and stop) these videos.I currently have them playing and pausing using the FLVplayback method with no skins (have to make my own buttons). Though this is working I really need the video files to be embedded into the .swf/.fla as apposed to an external video.I have imported the videos into the library but they're not in use atm.
Is it possible to tell FLVplayback to use a embedded file from the library?If not is it possible to make a embedded video play/pause/stop in AS3 any other way? I couldn't seem to get it to which is why I went to FLVplayback method.
