i have created some 6 -10 buttons and i want to keep these list of buttons in the scrollbar. so that a user can view only a set of 4-5 buttons at a time.i tried out the kirupa-scrollbar but when the masking is done on set of buttons all the buttons are under mask and i am unable to click any of those .i tried the UIscrollbar component, it works for the text area but not for the buttons
I need to create a scrollable list of buttons. Only vertical scrolling is enough. The main thing is that, the buttons and scroll bar should be custom drawn. One and two dimension of button layout support is needed.

I've got an Horizontal List. It contains 6 XML Nodes at the moment. But what I'd like to do is remove the scrollbar so that an button can function to scroll through the nodes instead.
I'm trying to make my own component that behaves like a list and supports infinite scrolling (in 1-dimension : vertical or horizontal) - both directions. For eg, a vertically laid out list which the user can scroll up or down forever - without ever hitting the 'last' or 'first' item. A good use for this: a calendar that displays each month as a list item.
Anyway, there are a bunch of things to overcome. The first of which, I think, is to disable the scrollbar's bounce effects (introduced in the latest Flex 4.5 (mobile) SDK). If I can disable the bounce effects, I'm guessing I can then add/remove items as needed to the list and it would scroll infinitely.

I am trying to connect dynamic text to scrollbar and buttons. I did tutorial and Lynda.com and practically pasted the code in with my file names and for some reason it does not work. It says I have a "Access of Undefined Property mask_mc" Did I need to create a variable for this? I didn't in the tutorial.

I have a file where I am importing dynamic text with buttons and a scrollbar. Everything pulls in and is working fine except... I have one document where the dynamic text that is pulled in is short and really doesn't need to scroll. It appears fine but say you click one of the buttons or scrollbar by accident or curiosity. The movie just starts vibrating... it doesn't like thst the text is short. I don't want to take the stuff out because the info will always change and some days it may need buttons soma days not.

I have several button symbols on my stage, some of which are enabled while some are not (I enable/disable them using actionscript).I just need a way to access the "enabled" property of all the buttons on the stage so that I have an array which has the full path of enabled buttons and another for the unenabled buttons. i am trying to create a list of buttons populated from an xml file they populate but i DONT want them to align with x starting at 0.[code]i want to be able to start the first buttons _x at lets say 100 or something and then space them out 30 px apart.
I am trying to make a generic list control that has x buttons in it so that users can remove items from the list by clicking the x button. However, this list control needs to support item renderers while still standardizing the layout of items placed next to x buttons.
So I figure the best approach would be to extend the list control and use a renderer that draws the x button and combines that with what ever renderer the user supplies. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to do that.
I tried overriding newInstance method from the IFactory interface and used that to create an HBox that contains my button and inserts the newInstance result from a user supplied renderer, however it wasn't complete. It displayed as I expected, but the mouse over effect only worked on the user supplied renderer portion and not the entire HBox that my custom renderer made.
