Whenever I scroll to a new area to select a frame, it selects that frame to all the way back to the beginning as if i clicked and dragged to the beginning. Its very difficult to explain in words so I recorded it: [URL]..
I am building a project where i have 4 mc's each on their own frame with individual labels.What i am trying to figure out is how to have one selected in a non linear order when the next button is clicked. E.g. Im on frame one, the mc is done playing and i click next.instead of going to frame 2 i want it to randomly select a label located on either frame 2,3, or 4.
I have a comboBox and values like basic and advanced. And viewstack container conatains 2 grids.When i select the base option in Combobox, the first grid has to be selected. select the advanced value in comboBox, the second grid has to be selected.

Flex 4 Combobox is extended with a Text Input that helps in getting to the item that is searched for.I have created a Check Box as an itemrenderer for this Flex 4 Combobox. I would like to Add a Select All and Select None options in the drop down of the Combobox. I know that i could accomplish by editing the dropdownfactory in case of a Flex 3 Combobox. But in Flex 4 the dropdownfactory doesnt exist.
This is the most frustrating program ever. No where can I find an answer. I've tried everything I've read on how to change text but I can never get the selection tool to select the text. Some say use the T tool but all that does is create a new white box over top of it to type new text in
The layer isn't locked and the closest I can get is a blue box around the button. Well it's not a button and in the library the icon is a movie clip. Its also in my "bitmaps" folder as and image? (tree icon) Does that matter? I'm begining to think this is a whole image?
I have some text form fields that I've set up to display some paired variables stored in a .txt file. When the swf loads, the form fields are populated with the text.I've also set it up so that if you change the text and hit a submit button, the .txt file gets updatedI'm now tryng to set it up so that I can store radio button selections in the .txt file too.I've started doing it a certain way, but am wondering if there is a more straightforward way of doing I've set up the butttons to spit out "on" or "off" depending on the selection, and apply that to the variable that gets stored.the text form fields when the swf is refreshed, I want to load the on/off variable, and then somehow apply it to the radio buttons so that one of them is pre-selected.
I created a short animation for the first time yesterday, and I ended up drawing a few frames ouside the parameters of the stage. Now I want to adjust the position of the whole composition so that it all fits on the stage. Is there a way, like in photoshop with seperate layers, to select every frame and move them all simultaneously?
Since I animated the movie clip(mc), I no longer see each MC and there are multiple of them. How do I select one MC and drill down to modify some animation?
if I drew a line or something, it would just be the line and I could immediately edit the shape. Now, there is a blue box surrounding it. what purpose the blue box serves. However, when this started, my fill stopped working.
I can fill a shape I have hand-drawn, but not when I use the line tool. I have included a screen shot of the blue box surrounding a line. I have assured that all sections of a shape are touching before trying to fill.
I'm having some troubles with an animation I'm working on. I messed up some the timing in some parts where there needs to be audio, and I don't want to go to the very back of the timeline and make all my frame sequences fit the audio that way. I want to select all the clips from one point on, drag them back until the audio fits, and then go to the next part the audio doest fit and do the same. Unfortunately, I've spent at least 20-30 minutes googling and trying different things in Flash that haven't worked.How can I select all the clips on the timeline before a certain point so that I can drag them all back a few seconds? (Without having to shift click all my clips, obviously).
I was wondering, if I had an image with multiple sections that are highlighted on rollover(like a car), and I wanted to give the user an opportunity to select multiple sections and on release they are taken to a page that displays relevant info on each clicked section, how would I go about doing that?
how can I select same color shapes in adobe flash program ? for example we assume 10 rectangle shapes. 3 of them are red others are green. I want to use only one click or method to select 3 of them.
I can't select anything in a tool windows. With one fla opened, i select "ESSENTIAL" in workspace, the interface, turn on, but when i select a draw tool orchange any preference on Flash CS5 Trial on Snow Leopard, the flash allways crash and close without message. I don't really know that much about Commands in Flash, but I was thinking this could be a possible Command to create.See, I have this puppet made up of dozens of separate pieces, all on their own layers.It's very tedious to click on 10 different symbols in order to move the character's arm, for example.I was wondering if there was a way to create a JSFL command to select each of the 10 symbols on the stage.
I tried clicking each one, and saving the "Change Selection" actions from the History Panel as a Command, but that is location-based.As soon as I move those symbols to a new location, the command I saved no longer selects them.And I can't select the objects by layer or frame, because it doesn't seem to want to save those either.
I've been looking for a JSFL command that might do this, but haven't come across anything even remotely similar to what I'm trying to achieve. Perhaps there is another solution besides JSFL that someone might know of.Question: Is there a way that I can select multiple symbols (either in a single frame or across multiple frames) and apply a scale transform that will adhere to each symbol's registration point?
Scenario:In an animation sequence, a movieclip of a tall rectangle is tweened on the timeline using "classic" tween. There are 20keyframes, where the mc changes position and rotation.In a duplicate of that animation sequence, I want to change the height of all instances of the mc in the animation, but keep the position and rotation. The rectangle should stay a rectangle, only shorter.I go to a keyframe, select the mc, and enter the desired scale percentage for the height in the transform pane. Then I repeat this for the other 19 keyframes. Imagine the pain and suffering I go through when this is done for several sequences!
Ideally,I would want to use the "edit multiple frame" mode in the timeline, select all instances of the mc across all 20 keyframes, and apply the height transform to all mcs via JSFL or dark magic.Flash's default behavior transforms multiple objects as a group,so not only will it squash and shear the different mc instances(creating diamonds),it will also shrink the distances between the different positions(changing the path of the tweens).I'm looking for a way to apply the transform so that each instance scales to their own registration point,preserving their position and respective of their rotation.
I have a opening movieclip that starts playing for my background and then I have two buttons that come up on moues over event, that if clicked on start one of my two longer Movie Clips that I have as progressive download through a flvplayer on Key frame 2 & 3. I have all that working but I want it to go back to the start or keyframe 1 when the clip is done playing so I can use the same opening menu to click on the second movie clip can some one give me any tips on how to get to go back to the start when the movie is done.

I am making a frame by frame animation, where I draw a character, make a new frame and use the onion skin to slightly move my character. Is there a way to make a certain part faster than others? I made a character prepare to kick someone, but since i was doing it frame by frame it looks slow. So instead of taking out frames and making it look choppy, how do I make a certain part faster or increase its FPS? I tried making a new scene and changing its FPS, but that still changes the overall FPS.
I making an animation for a preloader.In the animation, a 'line' draws a picuture.There are many lines,and I would like a mask to follow the lines so that it appears that they are being drawn.There are so many that it would be difficult to do this manually by moving a mask frame by frame with motion tweens.
I'm building a flash application where the user can play multiple 30 sec .flv movies (one at a time) in slowmotion by pressing or holding down the left and right arrows keys.The user can hold/press "keypress right" to move to the next (key)frame and "keypress left" to move to the previous (key)frame in the .flv files.I have tested embeeding one .flv movie to the stage and it's working fine.But since I will be using many flv's I want to load the .flv's dynamiclly (on button clicks) using netstream or FLVPlayer. Would it be possible to step beetween keyframes in the same way if the .flv's are loaded dynamiclly? Or, must I embeed each .flv file into separate swf's and then dynamiclly load the swf's to my main stage?
I'm trying to do a work around for a 9-slice animation problem, [URL] and I'm doing a shape tween within a MC... but when I place the animated movieclip on the stage, it displays the first frame of the animated movieclip, and it would be much more useful for it to display the LAST frame of the animation. I feel like there was some way of choosing the stage-display frame of the movieclip in the past, but can't find any way of doing this in CS5?
I keep getting dashed lines between keyframes after I select "Motion Tween" in the properties. Even a bouncing ball won't give me a solid tweening line in the Timeline. I created symbols and all but no go.
