I have a small problem when embedding an swf file in a flash cs4 project (adobe), when run, the embedded video loops continuously. If you play the swf file outside adobe flash, it doesn't loop.Any one know how i can stop the embedded file from looping?

There are a lot of tutorials on the web, but to be honest, I get so confused, a lof of them have errors so I figured i'd ask here if anyone knows of a good, simple tutorial on how to embed SWF in FLA.

View 4 RepliesJust wondering how to embed fonts using code, and not the library - the examples I have used are giving me errors, so I'm obviously not understanding something.I originally set up a library font, and got it to work fine using the following code, but ideally I'd like to embed using just code.I set up and populate a dynamic text field (JX)g1.textParamFunc(JX);[code]So how would I use the following code to replace the library font?Is there a way to take part of the code, and place it in the g1 package above? Or do I have to create a separate external as for it, and somehow call it into the g1 as?[code]

I know the way to add flv file by creating FLVPlayback component. But in this case we always need to depend on the source path of corresponding file. I am not able to find any kind of solution for this. As second way I have imported flv file to the library and created the instance of this but there is some problem with the synchronization of audio with video.Also in this case I am not able to handle this flv in as3 as programmatically
View 2 RepliesI have a shared fonts.swf file containing a variety of fonts that my main swf uses. I have a movieclip within the fonts.swf file which is exported for runtime sharing. In my main swf I have the fonts.swf imported for runtime via a movieclip. This all works fine and allows me to use the fonts within the fonts.swf file in my main swf. I am trying to work out how to import fonts.swf for runtime via as2 (instead of manually within the library), as in different circumstances different fonts are required and it is massively increasing the filesize having to import all fonts every time when only a few are needed.

When I publish it as it is now, 2 swfs appear, one for my file and one for the video player skin. In the example below the movie on the right (boy in the hat) is embedded using this procedure but the two on the left (paws moving on order button and dog animation) had to be installed using Dreamweaver's swf installation methodology. and, consequently the dog animation does not show up in Explorer 8 and some other browsers.

I am trying to create an HTML page that is showing a video (SWF file calling an SFV file). The video is the exact size of the SWF file. When I embed the SWF in the HTML page, I have set up width at 100% and height at 100% Though the result is not the one I want, as I would like the movie to match the biggest window dimension, not the smallest. This application will be stored on a small USB thumb drive that we give to our potential clients. When the thumb drive is accessed, users will see two folders "Media" and "Other"; and an SWF file entitled "Start." There is; however, one more file that displays: the interface/skin file that we used for our FLV videos (entitled "SkinUnderPlaySeekStop.swf"). If this file is not included in the same location as the main SWF file, the interface/skin will not display on the video.
We would like only the two folders and the main SWF file to be displayed on the root of the thumb drive. Is there anyway to move the interface/skin file into another folder (for example, the "Other" folder) and call it up from that location within the original FLA file?
Flash Player Detection Kit ( http:/url......... ). I would like to embed the detection process in just one file. Hence how can I embed a detection code into the flash file, so once its exported to swf, it'll have the detection code already and no additional files are needed?
View 5 RepliesI've got a dynamic text field that has embedded fonts. When I copy it from one file to another, the pasted text field loses it's embedded checkmarks. I have to open up the embed menu and reselect the appropriate embed keys.
The problem is that this text field is inside a component that many of my coworkers use several times / day in many assets. We just jumped to CS5.5 from 4 and text is now disappearing. I've tracked it down to this issue, but don't know how to resolve it. There's NO reason this dynamic text field should be losing it's embedded..

View 2 RepliesWe have embedded a FLASH with tags <object> and <embed> in a JSP page , running in a web application on a Application Server (Weblogic Server).The flash works fine.We note that, as expected, the code inside <object> is replaced at runtime. (when we access to HTML source code we can view an HTML code differente from <object> and <embed> tags).
But we also tried to call the web page through wget (from command line) and we saw that the HTML source code that we receive is ALREADY replaced.When and from who the <object> <embed> code is replaced ?From javascript (runned by browser) or before ?
I can use flash ok to build stuff, but I usually just build a flash presentation with movieclips and buttons all contained in the one file. I have never had to put my creations onto cd-rom before. So now I am looking at a CD-rom and seeing how someone else has done it and I see that all the .swf files are separated, as will as sound and video. I thought the only reason to do this would be to be able to access and change for example and mp3. without having to open the flash file, but I am thinking there are other reasons?
