Apr 27, 2011
i am trying to install a copy of Flash macromeadia 2004 mx profesional. the software installs fine when i go to open it it apears in the dock and nothing happens. right clicking on the icon in the dock the program says it's not reasponding.
on the box on my flash it syas made for mac osx 10.2.6 and my mac is running mac osx 10.6.7
I have the CS4 Creative Suite, I just got done checking for updates msg and downloaded all.
Dreamweaver, Acrobat and all others were installed but for some reason Flash is still at 10.0 I downloaded manually as well and still I'm on build 10.0.0.544
I've bought the new Adobe Web Premium CS5 and I have big problems with the Flash Professional CS5.
First time the application started correctly, but didn't start next time. I always had to remove all application settings in "Documents and Settings/user/Local Settings/Application Data/Flash CS5", what is already not very good.
I'm have Flash CS5 trial on windows 7, I want to install the updates but I get "Install Failed" without any other information.First I tried to install 11.02 which failed, so I tried to install 11.01 which finished with message "Done with errors"
Situation: Work on a file, save it, and close it (example file is stored on local drive). Attempt to reload the file using the recent items list from the splash screen: File does not load, and output screen message appears: The following JavaScript error(s) occurred: Cannot find file /Volumes/users/mt/Desktop/Working Files/TMK2079_HI/Flash/TMK2079_HI-SQ.fla. This is the file just saved by Flash... and it cannot locate it. I can browse with File > Open, so it is not a critical work loss or stoppage issue, but it is annoying that it happens. It only seems to affect Flash as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop behave as expected with the recent files. It seems to be able to find files saved to a network location, but not to the local machine (in this case a folder on the desktop). I tried renaming the "Working Files" folder to remove the space, but the issue persists. I tried a search but didn't get any hits that seemed relevant.
I am working on flash both at home and at school. at school we have MX 2004, and at home i have CS5. i have just found that when i save a file in CS5, i then cant open it again in 2004. Is there any way i can convert the file back to 2004 to work on at school?
My CS5 flash crashed when I changed the name of the root folder while it was open. Swf is working fine, but .fla file wont open, I get a "Failed to open document" message. This is a disaser because I've lost two days of work. Is there anything that could be done to fix this problem?
It rarely happened, I use a flash in exe type to access url in local server. It usually success to access the url. When it fail to access the url, open the ie to access the browser. the url works. After using browser, flash success to access the url. The url would return the JSON content. I use URLLoader to load url, and the return error is no responding when it happen.
If the error happen, it would not access the url even restart the computer.
I have some proLoader code that works on one FLA file and I am trying to reuse the code on another file to pull in the exact same .swf in the same location and I am getting this error.. What do you reckon is going on?
There was this problem with CS4 which was solved with an upgrade and now CS5 again fails to compile my larger FLAs. Sad to see the IDE going backwards.
CS5. 120fps bottom layer png of car, duration 120frames, top layer png of indicator lights duration 60 frames, run movie lights flash. Select both layers and go Modify>convert to symbol>movieClip. Copy the MC that appears in the library to a new blank file, make that file also 120fps. run movie see car but no lights flash. I have done no coding at all, does it need such to run. It has just what may be created when choosing new file. What I had been doing was putting this MC at the start of a bent line, snapping to the seed point, then 7 secs later (frame 840) placing it at the end of a bent line, snap etc.
Rotated it to match direction of line, created then a classic motion tween, then added a guide layer and put this line (edit copy>edit paste in place) onto that guidelayer at fr1. deleted the original line. Made the MC at fr1 orientToPath. Run Movie and it worked, but no indicators. Thinking the indicator function got screwed up somewhere, I did the test above. Obviously not the MC as a classic tween at fault. Something fundamentally basic I am expecting to work.
I make all the Flash banners for my company including onsite events and IMAX films. There are pre made banners that I (we) are allowed to download and use from trusted sites (Paramount/Universal/IMAX/ etc). These are sent out so we can plug in our branding to promote the films locally. In the past year, all the Flash files that I have downloaded or had mailed to me on a disc will not open. The error that I get says:Failed to open document./Users/myname/Desktop/Flash Banners/FLASH/genericflashfile.fla.I first though that maybe the studios were using CS4 or now CS5, but the icon that comes with the .fla files are definetly CS3. I even purchased the SWF Decompiler as a work around, but once I decompressed the swf file, and then re-exported as a fla file, I received the same failed to open error.Files I create on my own work fine.I was wondering if I missed an update for CS3, but I double checked and am up to date.
I think I know the answer to this, but. Is there any way I can open a CS5 file in CS4? A designer I'm working with created some files using her CS5. She's on vacation for 2 weeks (so I can't have her edit or resend the files as CS4) and I just got an email that the client needs a couple tweeks and all I have is CS4. Is there any way (or any program) that can backwards convert a CS5 file?
I just taught myself Adobe Flash and created a very intricate file with lots of moving parts. I saved it and then went to improve it. Of course it was taking forever so I got up from the computer to let it do its thing and I accidently knocked out my external harddrive. A lil freaked out I exited out of adobe flash- plugged it back in and went to open my file. However, it wont open now! I've saved it a dozen times after I added each new part but I have nothing now! Is there a way to get it to open? The message that comes up simply says failed to open document.
I hope I am in the right forum with my question - I am playing at [URL}.. and there is a Flash Application for Live Games - Link "Live" at the website.
My problem is that I can't open the Flash games because I if I click at "Live" in the main navigation nothing happens!!!
Other flash applications at other websites I can't open or see without problems - I really don't know what the problem is.
CS 5 made the most terible thing I ever could imagine. I saved over the last files and some temp files in order to have backup of my project. I saw something is wrong and don`t open the first file, so I saved 3 more times. I restart and now Flash don`t open those files. The flash open old files, but I`m going back for three days.
I have a fla file which opens, save and compiles perfectly in Flash CS4 but when I open it in CS5 it crashes Flash with the below error report. I have tried this on multiple machines all resulting in the same error message. I have also tried saving the file in CS4 under a new name, did a compact and save and a magic spell. Neither of which had any effect.
I am trying to edit a website for a friend (built with Flash and XML) and i can't seem to get into any of the .Fla files.I don't know if it is my version of Flash (CS4) or the files and not sure how i could test it. Could also just be a CS5 file hence i can't open it.
So I recently switchs to a new computer. Installed flash and got everything up and running. On the old computer, I was forced to set the jvm.ini to use -Xmx512M in order to run the application (it's kinda big) But now, if I set it 512, flash will not open... I get the Java enviroment error.
Now, I lower the xmx value more and more and more until flash FINALLY opens without an error... I load up my application and when I try to run it, I get the java memory heap error and it tells me to adjust the jvm.ini file. Anyone know how I can get flash cs5.5 on a windows 7 64bit machine with 8 gigs of ram to open with a larger jvm.ini value?
I made a simple 15 second animation. When I play it in the program (not published yet), it plays fine. When i publish it however (I have tried both flash published and HTML published), it plays about 3/4's of the way, and restarts. The second time through (and from then on), it plays fully, just fine. How do I stop this?
How to integrate the open source library "Open Flash Chart" into Flash CS4. If you don't know what Open Flash Chart is you are missing one of the best RIA at world, please invest 10 seconds going to [URL] to discover it!

I tested to use GetURL but the file wont open. I have the pdf-filein the same folder as the projector exe-file.
I have a webpage that currently display a powerpoint slides. The problem is that other can download the slides which I really dont want.
following issues:I dont want to convert the ppt slides to .swf then convert them to flash but rather let flash open the .ppt directly and display on the webpage.
I have been working on a flash website for a few days now and I cant open the file any more. When I try and open the file, Flash Professional cs5 Crashes with this error:
[Code]...
System: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) If you want me to send you the file I can also do that...
I have files from a class that I took in 2D animation. There are things that I wanted to fix and finish, but the computers that we did the assignments on were macs. I no longer have access to a mac and my computer at home is a pc but whenever I go to open the file, a pop up tells me that its an unexpected file and will not open.
