Professional :: Getting .swf Into To Device Central?
Jun 22, 2011
I'm using flash CS5.5 (trail version) and want to export a movei file out to device central to test acceleromoter settings.
When creating the file I : selected air fro andiod, made these changes to the publish settings : set upa certificate, tick all permission (as it kept telling me they hadn't been set) and then click ok.
For some reason under control > test movie > device central is greyed out. If i try to open the .swf file directly in device central it just tells me the device has the wrong version of flash.
Any ideas? I selected the file type as andriod?, preferably would like just to be able to click on test moving in device central.
I'm trying to test my Air 3.0 application for iOS in Flash Professional CS5.5.But since I use the Air 3.0 SDK I can't open my file in the Device Central and opening the file with the normal Flash Player will not track the touch events.Any ideas how to test an application for ios on a desktop?
I have imported my wav files to my library added them to the down state of my buttons and when I test the file I get (Sound has no valid device sound path although exporting device sounds was requested in the export settings. This sound will be ignored.) I have been surching for an answer but as of yet have found none.
I want to have two clients voice chat, I will need a central server to dish out IPs for that to work out right? Also unless I route all the streaming through the central server, won't there be problems incomming connections and peoples firewalls and such? I would ideally want to host it on a PHP shared host, could that be done?
I had a quick and dirty little IOS application that I thought I'd knock out in Flash CS5.5 and deliver to the AppStore.I must have missed something really important in the past 11 months.I built a small, simple app to test on my iPad.I set it up to run on GPU, set up the p12 and a new Provisioning Certificate. Deployment is set to "quick publishing for device testing". In 2 minutes or less it published to an IPA file. The problem is when I mount the IPA to iTunes Library then to my device, it is literally stuck in Loading mode.... Just to test how slow it is, I left it to run over night.Well it's still loading almost 16 hours later. Is it just me?I can't seem to find any other discussions or articles on IPA loading problems. Do I need to load some other version of something else to make this new version of Flash publish efficiently? Is this not the correct workflow from Flash to an IOS device?
I have an iPhone4 plugged in via usb.I an create ipa files and put them on the phone using iTunes.I would like to be able to use the test/debug on device via usb, but in the menu, it's disabled.
I have a Nexus S and trying to test my AIR for Android app in it. When I put to publish, it keeps showing me "publishing" but never ends. What that could be?
i made an scrolling image sequence, that is controlled with moving left-right mouse or finger there are 120 images and its wheight is 36 Mb.it runs great on desctop as SWF .BUT when published to .ipa and lounched on iPad 2 - black sreen for aboute 5 sec. and throws back to "home".what does that mean?
I am developing an app in Flash Pro CS5.5 to be deployed on the NOOKcolor. I have everything set up for the computer to recognize the NOOK through the USB (was able to reboot the device by using the command prompt window). I can move files onto the device via USB but I want to be able to debug from Flash. I am successfully able to do this with a Droid 2 phone. Is there something on the NOOK that has to be set up for Flash to recognize the NOOK as an android device that it can debug on?
I have four objects that when clicked needed to programatically arch back to one central point. at the moment I cna easily have them travel in a straight line, but I need all of them to rise a little (20px) as they travel to the left then drop to that centralized point.
i dont know the math to have a mc rotate around a central point by constricting to an arc..i have a circle and i want a mc to follow around the edge depending on the mouse position relative to the center of the circle...
I am trying to connect 2 flash clients to a flash game, each client will control a object in the flash game.I am unsure of how I can connect those two clients to the central flash game, or what the best way would be to achieve the desired result.I am just trying to send commands from the flash clients to the flash game, but I am unsure of how to go about it.
I have a project on the go which has a compass that I would like to have move randomly around a fixed central point (giving the idea of changing direction).Would anyone be able to help me out with the coding to get this to work?
I'm building a flash app (just AS3 with FlashDevelop) and I'm having some trouble keeping things loosely coupled around the event system. I've done a lot of reading about central event systems and static eventdispatchers but they don't quite fit the bill for me. What I'm building is similar to a video player.I have a Player class which is the parent of all the other little parts of the app.The Player class extends Sprite and I've currently designed it so that you could instantiate multiple Player's and put them on the stage.I also have a Controller class which extends EventDispatcher and I dispatch all my events through this class. It's a central event class.
The problem is that I need to pass around a reference to this class so that all the other classes can dispatch and listen through it. Passing around the reference works but it's the exact opposite of loose coupling. I know I could make a static EventDispatcher that all the classes could see but then if I had two or three Player's on the stage they would all hear each others events. How can I create a type of sandbox that will allow all the child classes of a Player instance to be aware of the central dispatcher without passing a reference or making it static?
I am using a mx:Resize effect to change the width of an image in Flex (leaving the height to look after itself) but I want the image to remain vertically centered on the page. Whilst I could calculate the aspect ratio of the photo, and work out the new y value to keep it centred, I would have to include a mx: Move effect too, and I am hopful that Flex has a simpler way. This is for a photo gallery where images are loaded at run-time, and swapped about.
So I really would like to avoid recalculating the aspect ratio and vertical position every time the updateComplete event fires, I tried putting my image inside a mx: VBox with verticalAlign="middle", thinking that the box would do all the centering for me, but this only seems to happen when the app first starts - i need it to gradually adjust the position during the period where the effect plays (to keep it central even when part-way through).
Well i am currently mkaing a virtual world using flash cs5 and smartfox server. I have all the stuff done but then i try to start the movie it says "Fonts should be embedded for any text that may be edited at runtime, other than text with the "Use Device Fonts" setting. Use the Text > Font Embedding command to embed fonts."
i have asked this question before but the answer received was not applicable in my situation. I searched the net and still unable to find anything. I have a game in flash actionscript 3.0 and i would like to put it on my htc hero - android phone.
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to access a Midi device (like a piano/keyboard or electronic drum set) that is plugged into to a clients USB port over the web.
Obviously the browser security model makes this impossible using just javascript and while it looks like the emerging html5 device standard might help in the future it's apparently not there yet.
Can a Flex application that was designed for use on a PC be run on an iPad, iPhone, or Android-based mobile device? Seems like a simple enough question.[URL]..yields a picture of a dude running a (presumably) Flex application on an Android. So at first glance, the answer would appear to be "yes." End of story.
There is so much (mis)information out there on various tech sites that suggest Flash-based technologies simply won't run on iOS or other mobile platforms. Why is this? Perhaps they mean to say that Flex won't run "out of the box" and requires a plugin? Or do they mean it won't run at all?
Every time I think I've reached a definitive conclusion, some post on SlashDot or CNET directly contradicts it. So what's the scoop? Can one take an existing Flex application and run it on iOS/Android? (I realize there are screen size issues to consider so the app might not run effectively. I just want to know if the runtimes are available on the mobile devices to allow the Flex app to launch at all.)
We are using CS3 and using actionscript 2.1. We are creating an application for a touch screen device and we must provide a draggable map. I have a map that is much larger than the screen size and I wish to be able to drag the map.Additionally the map needs to contain 'hotspots' which the user can click on and it shows additional information
my device (Dazzle DVC 150) is not showing up. It will show u inother programs and on my laptop works in this program. I also get an error saying "Please ensure your video capture device is working properly and is not in use.
how to save score/level/etc. information for a game on a mobile device?I'm still unsure how to read/write files in the apk (Android).Basically, I want to allow the player to save his progress at some point so that they can restore it later.
I am following the Install Flash Media Server 4.5 and verify HTTP streaming to Flash and iOS article/tutorial located here [url]...
When I try to view the start page on my iOS device (updated to latest) I get a brief flicker of the start page then a blank white screen with a 'Get Adobe Flash Player' icon.
This is really tripping me up. I've had a previous failure to get HTTP streaming working so Im trying now with a clean install on a new machine. I'm trying to follow 100% with the article mentioned above and I am getting different results.
I would like to be able to control a USB device from a web application. I was hoping to use Adobe Flex but I don't think that Flex can support access to USB devices. Is this possible using Java applets, or a similar approach using .NET?
I'm creating a website with Flash embedded into it. I understand that iPads do not support flash. I also have a non-flash version ready only to be used for iPad users. How do I detect the end user's device and redirect them to the version directly ?
