I have 210 jpeg images that are numbered and aranged in order to creat an animation. Is there a faster way of importing them into the time line. Instead of dragging one image on the stage per keyframe at a time?
View 3 RepliesI have been shown how to do a very specific task in Flash Pro CS5. I have five slides in my timeline, with buttons that include links to product pages on our website. These five slides comprise a movie, with each slide being displayed for a few seconds and it repeatedly cycles through the five slides in a banner at the top of our home page. In addition there is a navigation bar below my slide images with a play and pause option, plus the five slide numbers so the viewer can navigate from slide to slide manually. I have been asked to change the order of the slides so that slide #5 now becomes slide #1 and slide #1 becomes slide #2, and so on.
I can easily switch the images and links so that the slides are in a different order in my file, but now the navigation bar below does not work. In the Actions panel, the #1 button in the navigation bar still appears to be linked to slide 1, which now has the new images, yet the nav bar does not respond to clicks anymore. How was my nav bar disabled when I switched the images and links around between the slides? and how can I correct this? I know nothing else about Flash except how to replace the images and change the button links in each slide, which I do monthly, as this is the top banner on our website.
I have a group of Movieclips that I want to load in a random order, until they are all loaded. In other words, when the movie starts, a random MC of the bunch would load, followed by another random, and on until they are all loaded.Right now I have the MCs with a quick alpha fade in onLoad, problem is they all load at the same time, but what I'm trying for is an organic type of loading, like they're blooming up all over the place.
View 3 RepliesI have imported a SWF to my main timeline as I want to be able to use fast forward/rewind controls etc. I have imported it into a movieclip but when I test it, the Jpegs from the SWF are really wobbly. Is there any way to get around this?

View 2 RepliesMy question is, does a better, faster CPU necessarily equal faster SWF compile times? Or does it rely on something else (OS, memory, etc). I only use AS3 and some of my projects take a while to compile. If certain hardware can guarantee me a faster compile time, it'd be worth including those things in my shopping list.

I need to create animations fron a set of jpegs. I can layer selections in photoshop; create symbols in Flash, although When I open a multi-layer psd in FL, don't always get multi-layers in FL. More importantly, what graphic/symbol formats are required for the typical animation techniques (eg, different tweens, bones, puppet).

There is nothing in the AS concerning sizing, only loading and positioning.The site looked fine and now the pictures all have jagged edges to them (it's stained glass and the leading looks edgy instead of smooth). The photos that are loading look smooth upon uploading.I have them Publishing as, Flash Player 8, AS 2.0, JPEG Quality at 100, only Protect from Import is checked, I'm working in Flash CS4 on a Mac.

I am new to Flash CS5 and I have created a slide show. I am trying to reduce the .swf file size for faster loading. I have been trying to adjust the size using the jpeg quality slider, but it doesn't seem to function whether I set it to 0 or 100 or anywhere in between. Publishing always generates the same size swf file.

Okay so our current assignment in class is to create our own version of the jeremy levine design website. But I am currently stuck and have not gotten anywhere for the last 3 days that I have worked on it.
The problem is when I click on the box to go into the wood grain texture, I want to be able to click on the X box that appears in order to go back to frame 42 in the main timeline. (the x is currently only on the box with the 1 on it.)
I have a panorama picture and I can move this picture using my arrows I have made. I would like to put the buttons on the specific place of the picture. I want to make the buttons move with the picture while I scroll the panorama.

I am trying to make a group or rollovers that display larger versions on images when you rollover their thumbnails. The problem is since everythign is in layers the bottom layers rollovers show up undernieth the other thumbnails. My whole website design is based on this and I want to avoid writing code for each individual rollover. Is there a way I can make it so all the rollovers apear over all teh other buttons?

Like FaceBook: You can login and register for a new account. Post on your wall (which I don't want that feature). Send messages and receive messages to and from people. Invite people to upcoming events (which I would like to have a calendar that I can create new events and have my members view the calendar and RSVP). And like when your posting on your wall you can make privacy settings change (similar to what I want just not friends only or just me option, I want Everyone, 'names of everyone that is a member to post this to'.).

I have an image gallery of 6 images on a frame of my timeline. what I want to happen is instead of all images trying to load up at the same time when at that point in the timeline I want the 1st image to process and load then move on to the 2nd image here is how I am loading those images.
location1.loadMovie ("image1.jpg");
location2.loadMovie ("image2.jpg");
location3.loadMovie (image3.jpg");
and so on.
can I edit this code somehow so that the 2nd through 6th images do not load until image 1st is fully loaded and so on.
I'm trying out a page-flip program that tells me to create the pages as jpegs within a folder named "pages" in the Library. When I try to run it, it tells me it can't find the jpegs. I can get it to work locally by including the full URL (i.e., "...My Documentsedinnerpartiesimagesp3-large.jpg), but I know this isn't embedded in the swf file.

1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?
