Professional :: How To Loop Animation To Avoid Blank Stage

I have created a banner in Flash CS5. It starts with a blank stage and an image tweens on to stage from the right edge. The image stays on the stage for a few seconds and a 2nd image tweens on to the stage and completly covers the 1st image. Similarly 3rd and 4th image cover the preceeding images. When I play the animation, before the 1st image covers the stage, there is nothing prior to it. When the 2nd starts tweening over the stage, the 1st image is still there.
Similarly for the 3rd and the 4th images, there is an image covering the stage. But after 1st loop completes, the animation goes back to a blank stage and the 1st image starts tweening on to the stage. Iwould like to have the 4th image stay on the stage while the 1st image starts tweeing on to the stage. I have started using Flash recently and am not very skilled with the program or ActionScript.
ok lets say you create a button that when held down play an animation of 20 frames if realsed it goes to frame one and stops if held down it plays out this animation. for the topic lets say you have a fire animation and you want the fire to apear and if the user hold its down the animation reaches the end of the time line and loops back and plays the last 5 frames of the animation and as soon as it is let go it goes to and stops at frame one. Well i know how to make a button that when held down plays out an animation. And i know how to say when released goes to and stops at frame one. What i dont know how to do is to loop the fire at the last 5 or 6 frames so the user can hold it down all day long and play out that animation.
I have a logo which animates one time and stops. What I would like is, it should loop every 5 seconds interval. The following is the action scipt 3 written in the flash document.
I am producing a banner ad and I need to have this 15 second animation loop two times (for a total of 30 seconds) and then stop. If this does call for AS?
I've been using the Adobe CS5 collection for nearly a year now but today is the first day I've decided to give Flash Professional a go.I'd tried creating a looping animation in Flash Catalyst but have had no luck at all (I'd followed a couple of suggestions such as using an flv movie as a timer but nothing seems to work for some reason), so I thought I would do it the proper way in Flash Professional.So far I have figured out how to import images, convert them to symbols,create a motion tween with key frames and do the animation. All this is good, but now I want the animation to jump back to a few seconds after the movie begins and play until the end,then jump back to that point again.Basically when the animation first starts it fades in for a half second or so,and went I want it to loop around I want this fade in missed out.
In my original thread my answer was given and I only needed to take the information and tweak it to make it apply throughout other instances in the code.This is marked as answered. The way I constructed the code heBecause each Movie Clip is individually handled, I was explained by Ned Murphy on this forum that I need to insert code for each individual clip to send it back to start when it comes off the stage because it is structured to go to infinity with the movie symbols continuing on their path.I get that. ittle code to add was provided for an example clip that started at the top of the stage and went down, then when it goes off the stage, go back. In this case it was for MovieClip_1 (Out of 15) The red was the additional code (Provided by Ned Murphy who is IMHO a Guru here) that was added :
I want to use tween animation to move 6 or more images onto a stack in the middle of the stage. (I can do this). When all the images are in the stack, I want the images in the stack to disperse to various parts of the stage.
so I have a looping animation that is several frames long. Inside the animation is a button, when pressed I want to go to another part of the timeline, where another animation is waiting. Simple, I got that working no problem. But... I need the first animation to go to the last frame in the loop before starting the next animation. The way I have it now makes an ugly cut, and the transition between animations isn't seamless.
I have had this problem for a week now. I keep making code but when I export to .swf it is 99% of the time blank. I do the addChild and stuff but still nothing. Here is my code:

I'm new to as3 and although I am able to build classes that don't error but also don't put anything on the stage. I have Starter_1.as file stored in a folder called com...this is the script for that file:

From what I can see the problem is because the addChild(tField) is not referencing the stage in anyway because the script is in an external .as file and not on the timeline (good coding practice I read somewhere?) I use this on the timeline to try put the text field on the stage: Code: import com.Starter_1; var f1:Starter_1 = new Starter_1(); How do I get this working?

That's the error message I get when it tries to play. What I have is an swf that loads another when its done, the new swf is blank but has a document class to an AS file. It seems the problem lies when a function is not properly being added to the stage.

Ive read you can do this with share objects but, have search and search and i cant find a concrete or simple answer to follow.No frame solution please, this does not look good when viewing image on laptop (768 as height)What i am looking to do is create 5 pages with the same flash header. Links will be below the movie. When people click on the links a new page opens (same window) without reloading the flash file.

Okay, now things are getting a little complicated. I need to build a Flash object that can sit over the corner of an image to serve extra content. It's way beyond my Flash skill level, my work is usually limited to print work in Photoshop and Illustrator so please excuse me if any of the following isn't clear. I am trying to learn though, So this is how it's all supposed to work, along with my issues; When the image & Flash item load a small looping animation will play to draw the eye/show the item as interactive.
When the user rolls over this the corner will peelback. I have a working peelback animation for the rollover, that reacts to mouse over/mouse off, and a looping animation for the initial, but I cannot work out how to make the initial loop until mouseover, then play the peelback when the mouse is over. And go back to the initial animation loop if the user rolls off. (Each of these animations is stored as a movie clip in the Library) Then it gets more complicated... if the user stays on the corner until it is fully peeled back I need to make a small countdown (sort of a 3, 2, 1 situation) show, before launching a lightbox (would this have to be jQuery, or could it be done in Flash?) in the browser to serve the content.
I have some script I am using for a flash menu. Each button opens to the html file and has script telling each page the down state for each button when clicked. I am trying to use the function below to open a new window and it won't work with the other scripting.
While testing the movie within Flash,the Test Movie window randomly goes blank, showing the stage color. The movie is still running, there's no error, it's just blank. When I resize the Test Movie window,everything reappears... Until a few seconds later, when it snaps back to blank... so I resize, it reappears, it disappears, I resize, it reappears, it disappears... over and over.Resizing even just one pixel is enough to get it to come back. Sometimes it happens every few seconds.
This might be related to another issue: If I Test Movie with the Bandwidth Profiler on, Flash CS4 doesn't resize the window correctly to fit my entire movie in it, resulting in a big blank space underneath the Bandwidth Profiler, and that same amount of space being cutoff the bottom of my movie. I haven't seen anything like this in 10yrs of Flash development. This is a Mac Pro, 8-core. The graphics card is ATI Radeon HD XT 2600. 6GB RAM. 10.5.3-10.5.7
The same FLA works without any issues on CS4/XP. The FLA saved to CS3 works without any issues on CS3/OSX and CS3/XP (same machine).I have all but given up on CS4 for OSX. Between the crappy framerates, the crashing, and not being able to TEST MOVIE, I just avoid CS4 on OSX and use CS3 on OSX or CS4 on XP.
Have a blank stage with 3 movie clips as buttons. When I click them I'm using this code

this triggers the click of the button to return to the main timeline and stop on a specific frame. My issue is that if I click the button a second time, it goes to a blank (or different ) frame, a third click will return it to the proper frame. I'm doing this as some users I work with are mouse clickers, now this is ok if I use a button symbol, but I want them as movieclips. What script can i use to ensure that every click makes the mc operate the exact same (goto specific slide with no randomness)?
Should bring up a login when you go to that site. However in Chrome It seems to be loading something and then I just get a blank white screen. Sometimes it loads but if you then hit refresh it will bring you to a blank white screen instead of reloading. Also interestingly if you are staring at the white screen, if you double click, click drag click around alot on the page it will come up kind of like its there but not being displayed. this problem only displayed in Chrome -- IE, Firefox, safarii etc. Perhaps my HTML is bad? I can't believe that because when I use the raw-HTML output from a publish in CS5 It is still giving me this behavior? Also others have had this problem with my site so it isn't just my browser/computer combo.
I'm using Fl for the first time and I'm trying to create a slideshow. Everything was going fine until I realized I had spaced out the different image timelines too far to the right. Now that I've moved them all leftward I have these blank ends that make the slideshow end with a long empty nothing. How do I cut those timelines off to eliminate that dead time?
I have an animation of a blue ball falling from the top of the screen, bouncing off the bottom and exiting through the top. This animation "Bounce" is an action all "Ball" objects can perform. How do I apply this animation to other "Ball" objects? I thought of making a second layer (the skin of the ball object) that follows the first layer animation.
I am asking because I have an animation of a blank character performing actions, i'd like to be able to design and decorate several characters for my animation that can perform the animations of the blank character (template). My game randomly designs different faces/clothing for these character objects, but i'm not sure how to animate them based on an already made animation.
Since recent versions of Flash have come out (perhaps the last few weeks), when loading up the website, [URL], the flash loading bars show, various SWF files in their layer appear, but then when loading completes, the web page goes blank (usually black, sometimes white). This occurs on Windoes 7 (64), Vista and XP. It occurs in IE9, IE8, and various Firefox browsers. So, I am comfortable believing that it is a recent Flash player issue.
The HTML page loads a file "back.swf" which in turn loads "menu_eo.swf" in level 10 and "intro_eo.swf" into level 5. What it looks like is that when the intro page finished loading and moves to the correct frame, the screen goes blank. My clients rarely update their Flash Player, but I asked them to do so this morning. They had the same problem in all those other browser and operating system after updating to Flash Player 10.3.1832.5.
I have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button.How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?
Not sure why this is happening but everytime I test a movie (CTRL+ENTER) in Flash movie it produces a blank white screen. I even created a new Flash file with a simple Shape but it still gives me that blank white screen when I run test movie. It does, however, run correctly when I click the *.swf that got generated. I'm not sure if my work recently upgraded me to a newer version of Flash Player.

On a horizontal bar, text scrolls from left to right, continuously. The text is a fixed string of city names, and I've made it so that it loops nicely. This horizontal bar with scrolling text is part of a vertical animation, scrolling the bar in and out of view. The vertical tween starts after two seconds. When the vertical tween starts, the horizontal animation has started as well. At the beginning and end of the vertical tween, the horizontal tween starts over. I want it to continu.
