I am receiving an error telling me that the file could not be imported.I have QuickTime installed on my PC. The media encoder recognizes the file but is having problems importing the file. Error code is : g:PRIVATEJVCCQAVCLIP68_01.MOV could not be imported
Within Photoshop I added some 17 new image layers, then I copied (from an existing image layer) and pasted the layer style onto the newly added image layers. Everything went fine in Photoshop. All images show up correctly with the correct layer style in place, meaning the shadows showing up correctly.Anyhow, once I import the .PSD into Flash CS4 the new image layers show up with darker shadows (100% instead of 50/75% opacity)

When it found no solutions, it said that it had to close the program. I've tried three times now and the same thing keeps happening.

Instead of the command triggering from a click i want the movie to load automatically. How?
Also is there any way of getting a .swf file and importing it into a new flash document? i have tried all the methods out but the .wf does not actually work properly. I cant just copy the timelines over as i dont have access to the one file all i have is tthe .swf -

I have a PSD file with layers that I am trying to import into Flash. The problem that I am having is that the text effects that I have applied in Photoshop are not transferring into Flash. All I get is the Font, Font size, and color. But I used Drop Shadow on some of the and some other effects as well. None of these are transferring over to Flash. Do I have to save them in a certain way i n Photoshop in order to effect the transfer. I want to be clear. I am not trying to import text effects as separate layers or anything complicated. I just want the text to look like it does in photoshop.

View 6 RepliesI have a Flash file that I would like to import into PowerPoint. First a few pieces of information:
1. I use a Mac but have a Parallel system at work so I have access to Windows PPT 2008. I am using Flash CS5.
2. The Flash file is not huge, it's just these animated curtains that open up to reveal a logo and text.
Questions:
1. I have found the only way to import the Flash file is to export as a .mov and then import that into PPT. This works great EXCEPT for that the text and logo look blurry in PPT. I have no idea why.
2. Is it possible to export a .mov file with just the curtain animation but with a transparent background so that when I import into PPT, we can just type the text directly within PPT and not have to include that in the Flash file?
3. I read online that you can import SWFs into Windows PPT but I have not been able to get that to work either.
I'm attempting to use FMIS to try and record a user's webcam as a file on the serer.Saving as .flv works fine but when semyStream.record("mp4:"+mystreamName+".f4v");It creates the file but its only 20kb and empty.Do I require a plug-in or component? Or do I have to record as FLV and then convert to another format?
View 6 RepliesIn my tracking I records the voice, it generates the file (if i download I was able to listen to it), but if I try to play, it doesn´t play. If I use FP9 r124 it works, using FP10r53 or the latest 10.1.82.76 it fails !!! all with the same SWFhas anyone experienced the same? I can not ask everyone to downgrade the flash player.
View 8 Repliesi downloaded a free of use gallery from (this gallery) and i'm trying to load it in my flash site .. now, the gallery works if i open it directly (i open the swf file)when i try to load the external swf file into my siteloadMovie("image_gallery.swf", box);then the movie loads .. the gallery is displayed the message "loading xml file" displays and then when the xml is loaded the message "loading image 1/7" displays and only the first image loads.
once the first image is loaded it will not be displayed (it remains outside of my swf file .. i can see it when i resize the window) and no other images will be loaded.if i open the gallery.sfw file again everything works fine .. the problem is only if i try to load the gallery.swf in another swf ..something must be wrong ..i tryed to opern the gallery.fla file and copt everything directly in my site and the problem remains the same .. only 1 image loaded and not displayed in the gallery
I created a very complex Illustrator file and imported it into Flash. ALL of the text objects were:
1. invisible!, and
2. moved to the top left corner for the document!
I have Flash CS5 at work, and CS3 at home. I am creating a FLA file at home that I'd like to append to an existing file at work. I'm guessing that I'll just need to import all of the symbols from the CS3 file into the CS5 file and then copy and paste the frames - or is there a better way to do it? What I'd really like to do is to somehow convert the CS3 file into a movie clip symbol that I could just run in the CS5 file. Is this possible?
View 3 RepliesI have failed in generating core.I have added a line "ulimit -c unlimited" in server's start function. I killed the fmsedge process by "killall -6 fmsedge". The process do be killed but no core. file is seen in /opt/adobe/fms finally.

1. I setting up my FMLE and set FMS url and stream name
2. I monitor connection in fms_console.htm
3. I run DVRController
4. i configure and play the video with livedvr
but my video player is show blank

I am importing a picture in flash and i found out that there is a difference between importing to the stage, and importing to the library... [URL] I've placed both picture close of each other and if you look closely, you'll notice that one of them is losing some resolution. Both picture come from the same file, a png. The picture imported to the stage is sharper than the one imported to the library. is there a way to import that picture to the library without losing any resolution?
View 5 RepliesIf you have a very large project Flash CS5 fails to compile it. The same error used to occur in CS4 until the 10.0.2 patch was released. Is this going to be fixed in Flash CS5? Currently Flash CS5 is completely useless to us because of this problem.

Trying to migrate to AS 3.0 here, but are facing a tough time at kick-off: I have a base fla file located in a folder named "game". The "game" folder is in a folder named "northcreek" which again is in a folder named "no". For no other reason than that I read somewhere that this was smart. Anyway, I have in my (document) class under publish settings this: no.northcreek.game.Engine Both my "game.fla" and my "Engine.as" reside in the "game" folder, but I fail to reference my as-class from my fla file. What do I do wrong? It works if I simply remove all namespace names, and only type namespace, but I am trying to do it the right way here...

And I'm using the multipart parser from here: http://antscode.blogspot.com/2009/11/parsing-multipart-form-data-in-wcf.html.My issue is that the above works great for some files (.bat, .txt, .cs, .doc) - I see in Fiddler all the good signs including the 200 (OK) status. When I try to upload other files (.xls, .vsd), it fails with a 400 (Bad Request) status. I'm very surprised that a .doc would work and a .xls and .vsd would fail.
It is consistent as well. I've uploaded several .doc files successfully without any failures. I've also tried to upload several .xls files - some succeed, some fail (the successes are consistent over and over, the failures are consistent over and over). As I write this and test more and more files, there is a .pdf file that consistently produces a 504 (Fiddler - Receive Failure) error.
FYI, I am using Flex on the client and using the FileReference class to do the uploads. The Flex code is as standard as they come - using this code with the only change being the WCF REST URL: http:[url].....

View 3 Repliesi have install a delveopment origin server for FMS testing, it can success steam VOD through internal ip, then we move on to test external ip steaming, but if fail to connect through external ip address, our firewall is using NAT mapping for the ip address, we have enable port 80 & 1935, did we need to change to edge server? i have try to change the vhost setting, but once i change the setting, internal & external will fail to conenct it, i have modfiled these setting in default vhost.xml, did any thing i need to change it? <Mode>remote</Mode> <Anonymous>false</Anonymous> <LocalAddress>all</LocalAddress>
View 1 RepliesI'm working on a project that I want to export as a .avi file. I'm using Flash 8. I can go through the steps of exporting the movie fine, but once I try to play it in Windows Media Player, I get this error:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."
I've tried playing it in VLC and DIVX player as well I got similar error messages. This is a time sensative project,
Can I convert a Flash file to Quicktime or Windows Media Player? If so....how? (Also, is swf the only file format on Flash?) I've been reading I need to download some converter to do this.
View 5 RepliesI am having an issue where if I import a graphic to the library or directly to the stage, it causes my movie to stop on frame #1, even though the graphic is on frame #40. I have tried a .png, .jpg, and .psd and they all cause this behavior. I have put other graphics in and never had this issue.
