Professional :: Error When Importing File Into CS5?
Jun 27, 2010
When I tried to import an Illustrator CS5 file into Flash CS5, I got an error from Windows saying that the program "stopped working" and it was searching for solutions to the problem. When it found no solutions, it said that it had to close the program. I've tried three times now and the same thing keeps happening.
In an existing Flash (CS5) project NOT utilizing XML in ANY WAY, I imported (copy and pasted) a group of objects from Illustrator (CS5) into the project. When I published the file afterwards I got an XML error:
[Code]....
I even tried importing the whole flash XML package, just to see if it resolved the issue. ( import flash.xml.*; ), needless to say, it didnt. So then I deleted the imported Illustrator group and what do you know.. my Flash file compiled without any issues, no XML errors.. VERY confused.. only thing I can think of is if it has to do with placed images..
Right now I have resorted to importing as bitmap, but I dont like this option
I imported an .FLV file to my Flash.Whenever I run the SWF file of my flash, it kept showing errors (1052 & 1009). I named the imported FLV mod1_vid, everytime I go to the frame where the imported FLV is located, it shows the error 1052 and 1009(in that order)
I checked my settings, and checked "Automatically declare stage instances" and made sure that the imported FLV has an instance name. The frame contains a button that skips to the next part of my flash, and one of the function of that button is to stop th imported flv file
Within Photoshop I added some 17 new image layers, then I copied (from an existing image layer) and pasted the layer style onto the newly added image layers. Everything went fine in Photoshop. All images show up correctly with the correct layer style in place, meaning the shadows showing up correctly.Anyhow, once I import the .PSD into Flash CS4 the new image layers show up with darker shadows (100% instead of 50/75% opacity)
ok i have used the code snippets in cs5 that grabs a .swf online and shows it in the flash file. However this is not exactly what i want.
Instead of the command triggering from a click i want the movie to load automatically. How?
Also is there any way of getting a .swf file and importing it into a new flash document? i have tried all the methods out but the .wf does not actually work properly. I cant just copy the timelines over as i dont have access to the one file all i have is tthe .swf -
So either i grab it from my server or if there is a way to import it into the flash that actually works.
I have a PSD file with layers that I am trying to import into Flash. The problem that I am having is that the text effects that I have applied in Photoshop are not transferring into Flash. All I get is the Font, Font size, and color. But I used Drop Shadow on some of the and some other effects as well. None of these are transferring over to Flash. Do I have to save them in a certain way i n Photoshop in order to effect the transfer. I want to be clear. I am not trying to import text effects as separate layers or anything complicated. I just want the text to look like it does in photoshop.
I am trying to load a swf file which contains xml based image gallery on 25th frame of the timeline inside flash professional cs5.5 using actionscript 3. while doing so i'm getting this error "SecurityError: Error #2000: No active security context". Below is the as3 code:
So i was going to run through some test's so I can get some basic lipsync. I recorded some audio and then proceeded to import i when to file, imported and then clicked the file.after it loaded, nothing happened
I am trying to import an audio file into Flash, but do not know what file extentions it recognizes. The file is .m4a that was created in iTunes. I can see how Flash would not recignize it, so what does Flash recognize, and I'll see if I can convert the file.
I've been trying to import, embed, or load a contact form into a fla flash website (i have the fla and swf files) however i cant seen to get it to work.
I have a Flash file that I would like to import into PowerPoint. First a few pieces of information: 1. I use a Mac but have a Parallel system at work so I have access to Windows PPT 2008. I am using Flash CS5. 2. The Flash file is not huge, it's just these animated curtains that open up to reveal a logo and text.
Questions: 1. I have found the only way to import the Flash file is to export as a .mov and then import that into PPT. This works great EXCEPT for that the text and logo look blurry in PPT. I have no idea why. 2. Is it possible to export a .mov file with just the curtain animation but with a transparent background so that when I import into PPT, we can just type the text directly within PPT and not have to include that in the Flash file? 3. I read online that you can import SWFs into Windows PPT but I have not been able to get that to work either.
I having difficulties importing a .mov file into Adobe Media Encoder that came with my Flash CS4 Professional program
I am receiving an error telling me that the file could not be imported.I have QuickTime installed on my PC. The media encoder recognizes the file but is having problems importing the file. Error code is : g:PRIVATEJVCCQAVCLIP68_01.MOV could not be imported
i downloaded a free of use gallery from (this gallery) and i'm trying to load it in my flash site .. now, the gallery works if i open it directly (i open the swf file)when i try to load the external swf file into my siteloadMovie("image_gallery.swf", box);then the movie loads .. the gallery is displayed the message "loading xml file" displays and then when the xml is loaded the message "loading image 1/7" displays and only the first image loads.
once the first image is loaded it will not be displayed (it remains outside of my swf file .. i can see it when i resize the window) and no other images will be loaded.if i open the gallery.sfw file again everything works fine .. the problem is only if i try to load the gallery.swf in another swf ..something must be wrong ..i tryed to opern the gallery.fla file and copt everything directly in my site and the problem remains the same .. only 1 image loaded and not displayed in the gallery
I have Flash CS5 at work, and CS3 at home. I am creating a FLA file at home that I'd like to append to an existing file at work. I'm guessing that I'll just need to import all of the symbols from the CS3 file into the CS5 file and then copy and paste the frames - or is there a better way to do it? What I'd really like to do is to somehow convert the CS3 file into a movie clip symbol that I could just run in the CS5 file. Is this possible?
I am importing a picture in flash and i found out that there is a difference between importing to the stage, and importing to the library... [URL] I've placed both picture close of each other and if you look closely, you'll notice that one of them is losing some resolution. Both picture come from the same file, a png. The picture imported to the stage is sharper than the one imported to the library. is there a way to import that picture to the library without losing any resolution?
I use Flash Cs4 and all of a sudden when I try to export to avi I get "error creating avi file." why or how to fix this? I can still export to quicktime.
Bit of a newbie issue, trying to work with the Serializer class from sephiroth[url]...
Not really sure how to go about using it though. It downloads inside a directory structure, so I've copied the first folder into the same folder as my .fla file, then I use this line to import it[code]...
I have Flash CS3 on OSX. Everytime I open a specific FLA file, I immediately get the following error message: "Error creating Flash Movie. Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check to make sure the name is not too long." Dismissing the alert box results in the same alert box instantaneously popping back, completely blocking any attempt to act upon the file. The file name is 7 characters long (extension included) and is located in a folder which contains other FLAs I have no problem publishing.
I have sent back the file in question to its creator and she had no problem opening it in CS3. She has done a "Save as..." and sent me the result, but it did not work. A collegue of mine opened it successfully in CS4. I have taken the opportunity to verify the Publish settings there (not that it should matter as I can't do anything with the file, let alone publishing it) and it is set to publish only a SWF file next to its FLA. Saving it as a CS4 file then back to CS3 has not produced a file which I can use with any success. It seems very unlikely that the file is corrupt. So is my Flash CS3 installation corrupt?
I was recently working on a project in Flash CS5.5 for school, last thing i did was save the project and close the program. Next time I try to open it I get an error saying "Unexpected File Format", and the application closes itself out. I can open Flash by itself and work on anything else, but when I try to open my class project it repeats the same thing "Unexpected File Format" and closes. The file was originally started IN Flash CS5.5, and has not moved to any other program since then.
I am having an issue where if I import a graphic to the library or directly to the stage, it causes my movie to stop on frame #1, even though the graphic is on frame #40. I have tried a .png, .jpg, and .psd and they all cause this behavior. I have put other graphics in and never had this issue.
basically i imported a SWF within my flash file from an external file and only the randomize button works on the file none of the rest from the imported flash can anyone let me know why, if you need me to let me know and i will upload files
he bought a template that makes the reading of external files, at first Ihad a problem because the flash CS5 was not opening the fla, so I managed to solvethe updating Flash CS5, solved this problem after another arose, the same open thefla normal, but when you export the swf so it makes reading the menus, most do notread the contents of rest, and saw the variables are correct, only appears the letter "a"sample (aaaaaaa) looks like this should appear where the text in question,
I've created a small application that is loaded by a preloader. The preloader loads the app then loads some json data it passes the data to the application and then puts the application on stage. Everything works fine in FDT 4 but once I put it on a server it gives me this error - SecurityError: Error #2028: Local-with-filesystem SWF file. Does anyone know why its happening and what setting I need to change to stop it? I have set the load arrguments -use-network=true and false to no availe. The json data is coming from an external web address when I change and put it locally with the application I get SecurityError 2148.
When I test some of my as3 movies a new window opens and I can test the file. Yet when I test other movies I get an (error opening url 'file message.) What causes that? It seems to me that if a movie plays it should also test in a new window.
I've been using Flash for a couple of years now... I use it mostly for designing fashion graphics (!!!). I know that Illustrator is excellent for creating artwork, I export Flash files as AI ones, but encounter numerous errors while opening such files in Illustrator. I think the problem is with the Color settings. Flash uses RGB, and CMYK is Illustrator's default settings. When I try to export a graphic symbol (with layers, groups of objects and simple shapes) from Flash Professional as an AI file, it always exports as Illustrator 6.0 version (wonder why)...
Then I try to open this file in Illustrator CS2 and always get a "BG" error message which is similar to this one: Can't open illustration. The illustration doesn't have the correct number of operands for an operator. Offending operator: "Bg" Contex: Bb 0000 Bh 1.0.0.000819.20.....etc. (lots of figures)...Bg
So after getting such a message and pressing "OK" there are 2 possible results: 1. The program (Illustrator CS2) opens a blank artboard (stage) with absolutely NO objects or symbols on it. 2. The program opens an incomplete graphic on the artboard (stage) with many missing objects and shapes (say, if I exported a graphic with 2 layers, the top layer will be missing).
Unfortunately, these are the most common results....Though a few days ago I hkept several AI files open and tried to export an AI file made in Flash. To my greatest surprise Illustrator could open the file with absolutely everything I exported from Flash! Except for Bitmap fills, of course....But everything else was just perfect! I was amazed no end! What settings should I have in order to be able to open AI files exported from Flash? If I got it once, it means it is possible to open such files... I have to use Illustrator more often now, and I need my artwork to be covered to AI files without significant modifications or corrections... Is it doable?
I've been working on an AS3 application and it's nearing completion. At the same time, one of the designers I work with has been building a movieclip in a separate .fla that acts as an intro animation to the application. The intro uses the 3D motion tweening capabilities of Flash CS4 / Player 10, and runs fine in the .fla in which it was built. The problem is that when I import the movieclip into the main .fla for the application, when I dynamically instantiate the movieclip and add it to the stage, I get a barrage of the following runtime error:
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property null not found on fl.motion.KeyframeBase and there is no default value. at fl.motion::KeyframeBase/getValue() at fl.motion::MotionBase/getValue() at fl.motion::Animator3D/setTime3D() at fl.motion::AnimatorBase/set time() at fl.motion::AnimatorBase$/processCurrentFrame() at fl.motion::AnimatorBase$/parentEnterFrameHandler()
I'm guessing just based on the number of errors like this that I receive that there's one per keyframe in the tweening movieclip. I've checked to ensure that the Flash publish settings are identical across the two .fla files, and although the stage sizes differ slightly, I don't think that's the issue here.
