Professional :: Preloader - It Only Becomes Visible As Around 80%?
Sep 20, 2010
I have my preloader which seems to be working correctly, however it only becomes visible as around 80%. So the page is blank up until then, then after that the loading bar is finishing and then goes to the rest of the site.
I'm loading an External JPG into an empty MC and I am trying to attach a preloader to show my visitors there is content loading.Layer 1 is Dynamic Text box - instance percent7Layer 2 is empty MC - instance of imageLoader7Layer 3 is my script.
Code: var mcl:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var mclL:Object = new Object();
I have a Flex application that loads some data from the database. During this I want my custom preloader stay visible. When I postpone the dispatchEvent( new Event(Event.COMPLETE)) in the FlexEvent.INIT_COMPLETE handler, the loading will never happen because the next frame is not entered. How can I keep the loader running until all the data is fully loaded?
Just got started with Flash again after several years of not using it. I am familiar with the layout when I set it to "classic" but for some reason I can see the timeline area, but it is grey and I cannot create any frames or click anything in that area.
the first thing I am doing is to draw a shape. Object Drawing is selected. I have clicked the rectangle shape tool, have selected a color and fill. I drag across the stage and a rectangular line appears, but when I let off the keys, it dissapears. No shape, no stroke, no fill.Invisible, gone, disappeared. What the heck am I doing wrong?
I have an external swf that contains a button that controls my main swf's timeline.I can get it to navigate fine, but as soon as it navigates, my external swf disappears, because my main swf is no longer on the frame my external swf was imported on.How do I get the external swf to stay visible along all the frames of my main swf's timeline? Here's the code I use to import the external swf:[code]
I just need to work on a roll out effect, I have it so if the mouse rolls of the button before the second image is up, it fades out. That is good. But when the second image IS up, the mouse rolls off the button and then the 2nd image fades out, but the 1st images shows up and also fades out. How can I prevent this from happening so it is always only the visible image that will fade out.
I'm trying to allow all things oitside of the stage peramiters to be visible in the browser screen so certain elements can be longer than the stage and still be shown Can't remember if it's a flash thing or an html thing.
I have one button, that when clicked should display several images, one at a time. At the minute they are all just coming on together, how do i seperate the functions so they come on individually, for example like bullet points, e.g click once and image1 appears, click again and image2 appears etc... so eventually all of the images are on screen, but they don't all just appear together, if that makes sense!
All text (including dynamic and static text boxes) disappear while previewing in IE (IE8, IE7) but visible in other browsers (Firefox, Opera, Chrome). The movie URL [URL].
I exported a swf file of my animated Flash banner, and my one of my images (a PNF file I imported into my Library, and drug to my Stage) is larger than the stage area. When I expand the window of Flash Player of my swf file, I see the boundary area of my banner, but the rest of my image is visable outside of the banner area.Imagine just the tip of an iceberg is what I want within my banner, but the ENTIRE iceberg is visale beyond the set size of my stage...that's the best way I can explain it. Is this something to do with PNG files in Flash
After created the button with graphics. On Button Layer...UP show circle, OVER show blank,DOWN show square, HIT show black circle. Can you tell me it is OK because after I add layer for ActionScript still getting errors.I want to make sure i did right up to this point.
I'm working in Flash CS4 and I can't see my timeline (or playhead) in the Motion Editor.I've never experienced this before and have no idea how to remedy the issue
I designed an entirely based flash site and suddenly was informed that on the iPhone a user sees just a black screen, on my SmartPhone I see and icon of a page on a white background. How do I make my site be visible on iPhone or SmartPhone, and I guess on Android phones as well.
What would be the best approach to create a map that has attributes that need to be individually made visible or not.For instance a map of a state and want to be able to click one button to make cities visible and another to see highways, and turn them on and off separately.
I understand that in order to make it consume less CPU cycles flash player forces the player to only execute at 2fps (or some other ridiculously low amount) when the swf is no longer in focus (or even if it's still "in focus" but not being rendered to the screen by virtue of being in a section of the browser window that's scrolled offscreen.) Is there any possible way to change this? I have a 3D engine that needs to keep the FR up.
I have a layer I am using for construction purposes, it shows though in test movie. If I go to publish settings and untick include hidden layers on the flash tab, when I test movie, my cars don't appear along the guide lines at all and just pop into view as movie ends. How does one hide turned off visibility layers during test movie without affecting hidden guide lines ?
My question is: Set parentSprite.visible = false will make all children in parentSprite all invisible, right? And is there any way to just make parentSprite itself invisible without effecting it's children?
I want to click on an object and make it appear and disappear. As the object is rectangular, I figured putting a white button the same size on a white background on a layer underneath the object would do this, but I can't seem to make it happen.I'm a complete novice, frustrated as I've been trying to achieve this all day and I'm sure it should be pretty simple, but could you give me the idiots guide. I know how to name an instance, make an object, script in actions on a separate layer. I would like to draw the button myself and give it an instance rather than drag it off the button component (as I can't work out how to make the component button white, change its size etc.!)
When the checkbox (cb1) is clicked the "my_Dyn_Txt1" is visible. The problem I'm having is - when I move forwad and back in my frames the checkboxes which were clicked are not visible due to
Code: my_Dyn_Txt1._visible = false
How can I make ("my_Dyn_Txt1"), a clicked checkbox STAY VISIBLE even after I move forwad and back in my FLA frames?
When I publish my FLV video using Flash CS3 and the "SkinUnderAll" option...the player controls are not visible unless I change the height & width in the html file Flash created. But, Flash shows the height & width 3-times in the html.
Question-1: Why 3-times? What does each of the 3 Height & Width references do?
Question-2: How should I modify the code to be able to see the entire video and the player controls?
It seems if I change all 3 everything just gets bigger and bigger.
1 - I import it into Flash CS3 on a PC w/XP Pro using... File | Import | Video take all the defaults and choose "Skin Under All" as the player option.
2 - In "Properties" panel at bottom of screen Flash shows the video as 640x480
3 - I then click File | Publish to publish the video. Flash creates all my files for me.
4 - I then put the folder with the files on my website.
5 - The video plays but the player controls are not visible.
6 - I see the Height & Width referenced 3 times in the html file Flash created for me (and none are 640x480, they are 550x400 !)
7 - I try changing the 550x400 to 640x480 in all three places... no good. Even at 1000x1000 the entire player is not visible. Everything just gets larger.
What are each of the 3 references to Height and Width in the html file Flash Creates and which should I change to simply show all the player controls?
Okay, this should be relatively easy but I'm running into errors. My main character is visible in the beginning of the game (where the main menu is) and because I coded it so that all of the enemies don't spawn unless the main character is visible, the enemies spawn too. As a result, if you stay at the main menu for long enough, the score continues to go up, the health goes down when enemies attack, etc.
when the video reaches 1 minute, a button appears. is there a way to hide the button again if the user uses the seek bar to go back to the 30 second (or any time before 1 minute) point?
on clicking the Search Icon , a search bar will be visible (ON) if user click anywhere on the stage the search bar will be NO visible(OFF) OR user click on ICON again the search bar will be OFF but it Stage CLICK is triggered without clicking
I just finished with developing my application by Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and I wonder if this will be visible to iPhones 4 because support for Retina displays was added since CS5.5.
