Its seems to me that there isn't any Spanish speaker, so I reformulate my question in English. What I want is to place the cursor in the text box so that the user can enter the text.
View 9 RepliesWhen I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.
does anyone know how to make the initial text in an input text box disappear once your cursor changes from the arrow to the type cursor? For example, I have an input text box which has the text visible saying "enter your email address here" I want this text to disappear automatically when the user goes to type something there...

View 5 RepliesCoworker is developing a Flash project and has a small dynamic text field inside a movieclip. Imagine the text field being 200 pixels wide by 50 high, and sitting at the top of the canvas. As she moves her mouse around the LOWER part of the canvas, directly 'under' the text field, her cursor changes from the standard arrow, to the vertical bar (that is used for text selection). This is inexplicable and odd and is also interfering with her ability to do other things in the project. Has anyone seen this behavior? She has turned off 'Selectable' for the text field but that doesn't help things.
View 1 RepliesI've got a dynamic text box on a movie clip that I'm using as a button (for a slider). To be specific, it's a movie clip on the stage that has a MOUSE_DOWN event listener applied to it. There's a circle in the movie clip and a dynamic text box in the movie clip right in the middle of the circle
The text field is set to NOT be selectable, the font is embedded, buttonMode and useHandCursor are set to true. I get a hand cursor when my cursor hits the outside of the circle, but once it hits the text field in the middle, the hand cursor goes away. how I can make the hand cursor stick? I've considered replacing the dynamic text field with a movie clip that has a timeline full of numbers, but that would be giving up.

I am making use of a custom cursor on itemRenderers in a List component. The custom cursor works just fine except when I mouse over the Text component which is a child of the itemRenderer at which point I get two cursors, the custom and an iBar one on top of the other.Here's the code:

in the swf, when my mouse reaches a dynamic text box, the cursor always changes to the 'I' cursor and the text can be highlighted.how to prevent this from occurring?
View 1 RepliesI've got a site that is using loadSound to play some mp3s and it works fine. however, the sound starts to stream, and then replays itself like a second later. my guess is that its playing faster than the load is going and when it gets to the point where it hasn't loaded enough, it starts to replay it, but i'm not sure that that is the exact problem. my code:

now, i tried making a playTrack function that i can call with setTimeout and i put that in the onLoad in place of track.start(), but that didn't work either (i was hoping to not start playing the track for 3 seconds to give it some time to buffer).
I have a custom cursor movieClip that changes depending on which side of the screen its on in my Flash application. This works fine, and even when the Flash test window is resized. However when going to fullscreen mode, it stops working. This code is called every frame, so shouldnt the stageWidth/stageHeight adjust accordingly when going to fullScreen mode?

The server on which FMS was running crashed due to a power failure. FMS is set to start, and it restarted with the server.Unfortunately it restarted with no applications loaded, including the application, which we need to run continuously.Is there some way to ensure that the server always starts with a particular application loaded? The only way I could find to load it was through the systems console.

I have a flash game that I have videos between some, but not all questions.I would like to have background music that would play during the questions then mute, or turn off when the video is played, then turn back on when video is completed.If possible, but not required, a mute button could be created that would mute the music and would overide it turning back on as well.In other words the person takes the quiz, when the video plays it shuts off the music and starts it back up when video ends. And if possible, if they select to mute the music before the video plays it will not restart after the video completes.I did this in actionscript 2. The questions are on frames 1-50, the videos are on frames 100-110.I have it set up when a question is answered it goes to the video then back to the next frame for questions when it completes.

I've created a multiline Input TextField in Flash CS4 IDE, and when I publish and click on it the text cursor jumps down to the second line. In the Flash IDE there is no line-break, but somehow it gets inserted before it's ever interacted with at runtime. I've tried all sorts of random TextField settings but every time when I render the SWF, the input has a line-break. Anybody ever dealt with this? How do I get the TextField to just be empty on start??

I installed Adobe Flash CS5.5 a couple of days back...Trying to learn a few basic tricks such as motion tween (messed up things with the bone tool though)..Well the problem is, a friend of mine made a 3D drawing in Solid Works(a modelling software). It is a sort of box, now he wants me to make a flash animation for the box which starts from a sheet of paper and folds into a box and then the camera zooms out.
Now i have no idea how to do that..jpg file can be made and imported to flash...but as it will be an imported file how can it be manipulated to achieve the final task....taking screen shots of the box at various stages of solid works can be done and then played all together in flash baut it would be very tiresome and time consuming...
I dont want anyone to make it for me just guide me what tools and tutorials to look at.
