This is for Actionscript 3.0 on CS5.I've been having some issues with fl.transitions.easing.None.easeNone. I tried to animate my MovieClip character without easing and stopping on a dime. I used the following code to stop the easing:

stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keyPressed);

"Color" Not Available As A Key Frame Tween Choice

Jun 16, 2009

There are choices for position, scale, skew, rotation and all. One of the most common things I do is tween alpha for fade ins and outs. Why is this choice greyed out?

Of course I know I can just select all, but then what's the point in listing all the properties separately for tweens?

Professional :: Make Motion Tween Stop And Hold At End Of Tween?

I'm making a "master movie" for an assignment and I'm stuck right now. What I've got is an Intro page that will serve at the Parent.swf to load 4 other child swf's upon a mouse click. The problem is I have a theater stage where I tweened an animation to make it appear the curtain on the stage is going up but once it reaches it maximum height....the tween abruptly stops. I want it to HOLD there until a user clicks a button.

How would I make this happen?  Here is the page in question: [URL]...

How To Move A Tween Point In CS4

Sep 29, 2009

Ok -- so I figured out how to tween in CS4, but how the heck to you adjust the tween? If you decide you want it to be a few frames longer or shorter? It wont let you drag the tween point! The only thing I've found that works, is deleting the tween and then making a new one. Which, is absolutely rediculous -- I know there has to be a way to edit it once you make it.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Keeping Tween Point While Dragging Movieclip?

Aug 18, 2009

I have created a portfolio which is supposed to give the impression that it is my windows desktop that you are looking at. I have made it so that I can drag MSN Messenger around now, but I have come upon a problem I can't figure out.

I have two movieclips representing my windows. One for the open window, which contains the animation to open a windown from minimized, and the window in open state. And one which contains the animation of the window closing. The problem is that when I start to drag the movieclip, I don't know how to "lock" the close movieclip to the open moviclip, so that they remain op top of eachother. Also, the position on the stage the windows gets minimized to(and maximized from) moves with the movieclip, making it look stupid if you minimize a window after having dragged it. Look on "Om Mig" on the site to see what I mean.

Here is the site

Is there a way to fix the other movieclip to the drag, and is the a way to fix the position the windows tween to when they are minimize and maximized, after the movieclips have been dragged?[code]...

ActionScript 3.0 :: ScaleX Tween Class From Center Point

Dec 9, 2010

Is there a way to use the scaleX and scaleY property in conjunction with the Tween class to scale from the center?ActionScript Code:[code]above unfortunately only scales from top left. This is not a class I can go in and move all the content by hand (so that the registration point is in middle) as it's all dynamic. I've looked al over but none seem to make use of the Tween class.

Actionscript 3.0 :: Tween Would Stick At Some Random Point Through Its Execution

Jul 20, 2009

I have a file with tweens created in the code. The file worked fine most of the time. But sometimes for no apparent reason the tween would stick at some random point through its execution. It was a small problem at first. But the more content my file has, the more it's happening and now I'm lucky if it doesn't stick! I'm loading a lot of images in externally (not with xml just with the loader class for now). I thought this would ease the problem but if anything it's becoming worse with the extra content that's added.

Animations Will Inexplicably Stop At Certain Point In Published SWF

May 13, 2009

I'm a longtime flash animation hobbyist and I've encountered a problem I've simply never seen before. After I publish my entire project to SWF it plays as it should without a hitch, but just about the midway point of the cartoon the animations simply freeze on me. What's even more confusing is that the audio of the movie, all set to play as Stream, do NOT stop and continue playing in the proper order and that includes audio from subsequent scenes. So basically once my cartoon reaches X I can hear my movie playing normally but everything else is frozen.I'm working in Flash8 and using FlashPlayer9 There are no actionscript commands in the scene where the animations stop. The only actionscript commands in the entire project are a Preloader/Start button at the beginning and a Stop command at the very end. When I publish only the troublesome scene it plays fine. This project is actually a very long movie, clocking in at just under 24 minutes. There are a total of 42 scenes in it and all principle animations take place directly on stage, not broken down into graphic numbers or movie clips.

I read the Movement using ActionScript tutorial [URL]. My question is: How can I make the box stop at a certain point, instead of disappearing. I'm working with an image of a ship, and I want to make it look like it's floating from the right, and when it reaches the end, I want it to stop there and have text appear on the right side of the pic.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash8 - Pause Game As Start Point To Terminate Code

Oct 17, 2009

I'm designing a platformer game, in which the code is all held within the character MC. I want to pause the game using something like 'delete this.onEnterFrame' as a start point to terminate code. The code layout within the character is like so:

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
...
this.onEnterFrame = function(){ //within clip event
...
if(btnon == 1){ // when button pressed(on stage)) global value of 1 is true
delete this.onEnterFrame;
}...}}

Due to the fact its within a clip event structure, it doesn't pause it, instead it slows everything down. Would I have to construct all my code in a frame layer or can I still use an MC to terminate this?

Professional :: Best Way To Tween Alpha In Code?

Jun 2, 2010

I have a complex window I'm designing in code. It starts as a button-like thing and once clicked, expands out to a window with text, links, and other misc. stuff. I'm designing it with all the objects to start inside the custom object (extending a MovieClip) and use tweening to expand it all out. The expansion works fine, although it's admittedly ugly..I'm running into an issue when alphaing from nothing (the button is placed over text, completely alpha'ed out to start) to 1.0. It will only start to alpha in if I have the alpha start at greater than 0, even then, when it reaches 1.0, it is NOT full alpha as it should be. Here's what I'm doing, trying to keep what I suspect to be unrelated code out:[code]the alpha of the bg (a shape) is originally set to 0, this code gives me no alpha, if I start it at 0.1, then it gives me some ...what looks like 0.3 at the most
