I'm looking for a way to generate license keys by a PHP script and then transfer its to my application (Air, AS3), and in this application to read the data correctly. For example, here is the code:

The generates key about like this: 1AS7-09BD-96A1-CC8D-F106. I want to add some information into key - e-mail user, then pass it to the client (Air app), decrypt the data and dysplay in app.

Is it possible to generate an executable file from a flash executable file? A client has requested a quote from that will allow them to do the following: This whole thing needs to reside on a CD/DVD.
There is a bank of 10 images. The user selects any 5 images they want. The user saves those 5 images as a slideshow / powerpoint / executable file?
Are there other utilities that can do this kind of thing? Is flash the wrong development tool? Are there other tools out there that perform this type of function?
Google has provided no results for me. I've often lurked through the forums here and I thought that maybe the community here may have some answers as I can't seem to find them anywhere.

I'm trying to generate a report on what classes are being used in our application... bonus points if i can tell which methods and properties are actually being used as well.
I know I can read the catalog.xml for RSL Libraries which is a great start, but I'm not sure if such a thing exists for applications and modules(compiled or uncompiled).
I think I'm looking for some kind of recursive describeType() method, or (gag) maybe I just need to write my own? I don't care how it works, my app dioesnt even tneed to be running... we just need an inventory of what's really being used and what might be garbage, essentialy.

I have a copy of Adobe Flash CS3 Professional installed on my work desktop. I'm soon going offsite for a couple of months during which period I'd be using my work laptop instead. My laptop does not have Flash CS3 on it, so I was hoping of transferring the license to the laptop. I read somewhere that I need to deactivate the license on my desktop (using Help >> Deactivate license) before uninstalling it. Unfortunately, I don't see that option in the Help menu at all.

We just recently purchased a second copy of Media Server, and will be getting the 4.0 version. We are not yet readu to deploy 4.0 in production, where we are using 3.5. Can I use the 4.0 code to install a 3.5 version until we upgrade all to 4.0?

I was looking for the source code of flex-rds-server.jar at the BlazeDS distro but I could not find it. I did some research, but could neither find this project nor an explanation of what is inside this jar. So, I guess it is not open source. Is that right? I'm right now trying to write a maven pom.xml to make a service project and seems that adobe (at least the blazeds project) is not maven friendly at all. I had to download the blazeds source code to be able to install it in my local repository, that was fine. But right now I bumped into this flex-rds-server.jar and I'm having a huge headache.

im new to CS5 but alot of my Action Script 3 tutorials and books require me to install it, (namely to create MovieClip files). My question is I intend to write software using flash that I can then sell commercially but im confused as to what licence I would need to do that? or if my CS5 licence would need to be valid for as long as I sell my software..... so far I have the trial version of CS5 Pro to continue coding but after reading this part of the user agreement (see below) it suggests that I cannot sell software with any 'output' files I produce during the 30 day trial... is this correct? what licence, if any, do I need to sell my flash programs created using CS5 Pro and will I need to keep it renewed once the program development is finished?

I understand Flash CS5 isn't the best way to make an app, but I'd really like to test out the apps I've made with it on my iPhone. Has anyone come up with a way to modify Flash CS5 so it doesn't require a Developer Certificate or Provisioning Profile (like the way you would modify Xcode so you can compile apps without paying $99 for the developer program)?

Soon we will get a FMS license to run some web games on our websites. The FMS server will be on a dedicated server. We need to have 2 machines like that. the second is a rescue server which will be used in case of trouble with the first one. I just install 2 FMS 4.5 server and HTTP streaming is not working Tried using OSMF with HDS-LIVE ... failed Tried using SAFARI with HLS-LIVE failed too but when tested on my trial server, everyting is working fine. The open ports are 1935 and 80 Do I need to restart the server to make it works?

We are getting message "Connection has been rejected due to license limit" in flash media server 2.0.5 at the time of connecting to the server. Previuosly that server works fine but today when we tried got above message. May be some changes occur on the system as we dont have controll for that system. But we can check FMS 2.0.5 on that system through managment console of FMS. Please suggest us in which direction we have to look.

Each time the server gets rebooted we receive an invalid license key warning in the event viewer application log. Will this cause the server to stop working? Our license key is valid.
The C:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 4.5licenses folder shows the files- sif35.bin,sif40.bin,sif45.bin and sif.bin.

We have been building our Flex app forever using Maven. Due to the fact that we use RIATest for integration testing we need to create a special test version of the app with the RIATest agent compiled in it and with the Flex automation libraries available. Apparently for the latter we need to provide the flex compiler with our license since this is only available from a version higher than Standard.
Up until Flex 4.0 and RIATest 3.8 this worked fine, we had our license information defined in a flex-config file in the user home directory. However currently with the combination Flex 4.5 and RIATest 4 we are having problems, the tests always fail with "License not present. With the trial version only limited replays are allowed."
We have tried multiple variations of defining the license key for Flashbuilder 4.5 but we have had no success. Currently our flexmojo configuration in the POM references an external flex-config file and there we try to define the license key.

I have a professional license of Flex 3.3. This allows me to create applications using the data visualization components (charts) without watermarks. However, all of release builds (test, production, etc) occur on our build server.
The build server only has the Flex SDK installed (not full Flex Builder). As a result the SWFs compiled with this SDK contain watermarks on all the charts. How can I apply a Flex Builder Professional license to the build server to remove the watermakrs w/o installing Flex Builder?My build environment is Flex SDK 3.3 + CruiseControl.NET + NAnt.

I managed to create a simple flash animation but it's not 100% correct.
-First, what's the proper way to transfer an image in flash?I chose paste special. It worked but it made the image a bit pixelated. The original looked fine.
-Second besides adding more or less frames, how do you change the speed of the entire timeline.
-Third, does an image need to be converted in any way? The animated image is it's own layer. So does it have to be converted to symbol or movie or something else?
-Fourth, how do I move(not motion) the image. Do I have to move each frame group or is there a way to move the entire timeline if I need to realign the image?

I am wondering If It Is possible to have point transfer from one swf to another. If It calls It up? for Instance...(flashmx2004)I have a game points system working. But want to make It seem more random with out one swf being so large. and Instead have many small swf but one primary swf. How would I go about transfering variables from one from to another?
What I want to do is send data from the first frame to a database then retrieve info back and populate form field on the second frame.
At the moment I have the code within the second frame doing everything! What want is to send the username and password enter in the first frame textboxes to a database then displaying the returned info on the second frame.

What do I have to do to transfer a flash video to another computer. I published HTML to my usb stick and installed on another computer. When I run the file, the buttons dont work. All they do is flash. When the file is on my original computer, everything works fine.
