I am currently developing a mobile application using the latest version of Flash Builder and I need to create a Global ArrayCollection to store information in that is pulled from a local DB. I can pull back the data from the DB fine however I cannot seem to access the Global variable when I try. I have the follng .as file called "Model.as" which is located in a folder called valueObjects and that file contains the following code:
Can I create an application with Flex Builder Trial ( that I have just downloaded ) and use that application on my website ? But all of you that use Flex Builder have the licence?
I develop applications with Flash, AS 3.0 and PHP. I need to give the source code to my clients. But once I give them the source code they can also re-sell the applications to other people. So, I have deceided to use some code hiding process so that without my permission the application will not run in any server. In that case I am ready to keep informations in my server. Only my direct client will be able to run the file once they have registered their domain name and other info into my server.
I have made one one mobile application in flash builder using flex mobile project I have a question that "why size of an .ipa file is large as I export a mobile application as iOS application.???? in compare to that same application for android takes small size!
I'm an AS3 developer used to working with Flash Builder. I'm working with a designer who's using Flash Professional to design sprites and backgrounds for a game. I'm looking to create an integrated workflow for us, so they can layout levels in Flash Pro and I can add events in Flash Builder.
As well as triggering events when the player collides with items, triggering animations etc., I'm also looking to switch between scenes when the player changes level and the game changes state (start menu, in-play, game over etc.). To do this I'd like to load everything into Flash Builder and manipulate it programatically - showing and hiding scenes, scrolling, checking for collisions etc.
I've found guides to exporting a swc from Flash Pro and accessing the library in Flash Builder, but this only gives me the classes, not the positioned instances of objects. Is it possible to access everything on the stage as I'm looking to do?
This seems like an obvious workflow but I'm not finding it clear how it's done. Is my approach correct, or is there a better way to do this? Any advice on how to setup this workflow generally, what to do or avoid? More specifically, how can I access the entities on the stage and switch between scenes?
I just finished with developing my application by Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and I wonder if this will be visible to iPhones 4 because support for Retina displays was added since CS5.5.
Im starting experiment with Flash Builder for PHP mobile projects and I found it facinating. I could connect the app to a local database, but I was wondering how can I update the data of the mobile app from a website?
I have google flex application for postcode search, How do I import the Swf file from flex into flash so I could add more movie clips like zooming effects and 3d rotation
I have a grails application using jquery mobile. I am hoping to find some way to access the camera on the devices. I thought about using flash to grab the webcam but that obviously wont work on Apple devices. Does anyone know of a way to do it and keep it all browser based? I am hoping that there is a plugin somewhere or maybe html5 has some magic in there that supports it.
I'm a longtime CF developer that is trying to get into to Flex mobile development with Flash Builder but I've become frustrated in trying to output results from a simple database query.
I'm looking to do something along the lines of this...
I've built a simple flash application that takes a user's photo/image, offers various effects and filters to play with. In the end, the application can write-out the resulting image to a PDF print file (to be purchased and sent to a printer).Currently I'm using PHP to template the web pages, with the Flash app embedded in the body of one of the pages.
I now need to integrate a shopping cart and check-out system, the idea being that the user can play with images, add various images to a shopping cart, at some point choose print sizes for each image, check-out and purchase etc. My app would attached the necessary print files, and email/submit the order to the printer. In researching the various cart systems out there like Zen-cart, Magento, osCommerce, etc.. these all seem to be full featured CMS systems, full websites, that you deploy, customize and skin, add products to etc... a "canned store". But in my case, I'm adding/creating the product at run-time. It's not a traditional store where you browse and select items.
At first glance its not clear to me how I would use one of these systems, how to integrate with my Flash app.... it seems I only want to make use of the shopping cart, customer database portion, payment transaction features. Is it possible to use one of these, using only the checkout and order management through a API? called from my Flash app? or processed via back-end PHP?
I am using flash builder to make an app for android/ios. How would you recommend I use assets such as images and sounds. Should I embed them or use loader? Any benefits to each one. I have a fair amount of assets.
I got some Images in my scroller component. while scrolling the scroller sometimes hang for a second... i think the image is loading. is it possible to load the image before the scroller is on the position?!.
I have this application that is basically the ubiqutous page turning component you can find online, but modified for mobile. It's for kid's storybooks. It's a mobile flex application in FlashBuilder 4.6. When I export release build for my mobile project, I see an option for desktop .air packaging rather than mobile. Works and looks great....but you can't sell a .air file on Mac App Store. I want to bundle the air runtime to create a .app, which hopefully I can get on the app store. However, this option is not available in a mobile project. I've tried figuring it out via commandline...
The window for Flash Builder's mobile device emulator (in AIR) seems to be a bit too tall for a resolution running 1280x800. Is there a way to make it run smaller? 1280x800 is the highest resolution set-able on the laptop being used to develop for it.
I can't get the maxDisplayedLines to truncate the text at the end of my RichText object. It comes up with Error #2007 Paramater child must be non-null but I don't have a clue what would be null. The text I'm displaying is coming from textflow
and everything displays fine, even the thumbnails until I try to set the max lines. This is for mobile by the way.
the error is TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter child must be non-null. at flash.display::DisplayObjectContainer/addChild() at flashx.textLayout.factory::TextFlowTextLineFactory/callbackWithTextLines()[C:Vellumranchesv22.0devoutputopenSource extLayoutsrcflashx extLayoutfactoryTextFlowTextLineFactory.as:267]
I have found some question which refers to my initial question :on xcode Usually resolved in synthesis by :
flushing certificate cache correcting the signing certificate ( using Distribution in replacement of Developper) C checking and correcting the Application ID who was sometimes not the same between the one declared in iTunes Connect and the one in the app.xml file
The fact is that I still has the problem on Flex Builder, which is when I upload my application, it failed with "Application failed codesign verification"
[Code]...
So the question is what could still block the uploading of the application on the App Store?
How to resolve "Application failed codesign verification." when uploading Application, build with Flash Builder 4.6?
I want to load a flex application in mobile flex application and also i want it to interact with the parent application. Right now I am trying to load the swf with swfLoader in mobile app, but it gives me security error. And also should I want the parent application to be generic in terms of child application as in down the line if someone wants he can have another child application with same name run.
I would not have asked the question if I owned an iphone, but so far I only have an android phone for development.
The question is: Should I use the View.viewMenuItems that are provided by flex mobile? Or should I better embed the functionality in another way? I don't know what possibilities might exist on iphone to open the menu, because it has no hardware button "menu".
By the way: How could I open the menu in the Flash-Builder mobile device emulator - there are no buttons, too..
Nothing on the screen, nothing in the console. I do, however, see adl.exe hanging in the processes and eating up memory - i assumed its the loaded, but invisible application.
Update:Created a blank Flex 4.5 (Air 3.1) project that changes the background - and it worked out fine. Tried to use this config (tweaked the filename) - and it doesn't work. Seems the problem only applies to mobile projects.
I'm building an application with the Flex framework and the 3D graphics library Flare3D. I want to be able to embed my 3D scene into an MXML application and still have the mouse events dispatched to the 3D scene.
Here is my code: - The MXML app: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <s:Application xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
[Code]....
The problem is that the 3D rendering is done by default in a "layer" that is behind the 2D layer (where we can put MXML components). By default, if we mix 3D and 2D elements, we can't see 3D elements. So I added backgroundAlpha="0". This solved the problem of showing the 3D view. But now I have another problem, I can't move the cube (which is the default behaviour) when I click on the scene and move the mouse. I understand that this is because the 3D view is behind the 2D view.
Is it possible to give the 3D view the focus for mouse events (when it's needed) ? Or is there a different way of doing what I want ? The only hack I figured out is to uncomment this //stage.getChildAt(0).visible = false; which make the 2D view invisible. But I want to mix 2D elements and 3D view, so it's not a solution.
Did anyone integrated Amobee SDK into Android application on ActionScript or Java?I have AmobeeTracking.jar file, I have to write native extention to integrate Amobee SDK into Adobe AIR application for Android. But I don't know what to really write.
