Is there any other reason of failing installation.Question 2. If the reason is same than any other way available to make build for ARMv6 and ARMv7 architecture phone.

i have an AIR android app which i am running on an android device ( samsung TAB ). i want the app to get laid out in landscape mode when the user starts the app holding the device in landscape ( same goes with portrait ).
but the AIR app always gets started in portrait mode irrespective of the way the device is held.
i tried the following ways use stage.deviceorientation (but when the app starts (after the applicationComplete notification ) the value is UNKNOWN) use stage resize event. (this gets triggered at start itself, a manual resize is not required - the values are based on portrait mode though - the width is 600 and height is 1024 (should have been otherway) )
i get correct values when i try changing the orientation of device, only at the startup i see problem with the required values.

I am currently learning Actionscript 3.0, mainly to start developing mobile games for Android.Device central is really useful to emulate the Flash content running on devices, but I thought there was a way to test directly on the device itself via USB. Am I mistaken here, because I cannot for the life of me find any information on doing this.how to get the USB connection up, but the actual testing/debugging itself seems to be done exclusively in Flash Builder.
I am using Flash CS5, and I want to test my AS3 projects directly on my Nexus S via USB.The only guides I can find detail the publishing of Flash projects to Android, which is a fairly lengthy process. Surely there has to be a quicker way to preview content directly on your phone without having to go through the entire process of creating an APK for it?

I just finished my installation of Adobe Flash Builder 4. I've definitely installed the most recent flash player from Adobe's website onto my computer. Also, in the run configurations of flash builder 4, I changed the source path from the .html file to the .swf file that is generated. I don't need to test it in a web browser, I just want to run the swf in flash player.
I only have 1 .as file in my actionscript project and there is no code written in it other than the package, class and main function statements. When I run the .html file, it runs fine, and debugs fine. However, when I switch the source path to the .swf file, it runs fine but doesn't debug!
When I debug it, the progress gets stuck at 57% and it says "Waiting for Adobe Flash Player to connect to debugger..." in the "Progress" tab. After a few minutes a window pops up that says:
"Failed to connect. The session has timed out. Ensure that you have run the application with debugging on and that I have the debugger version of flash player."
What can I do to fix this? I am on an intel Mac running OS 10.6.5.

Mobile application runs perfectly in the debug mode - I can test it on the device etc... The problem is with the release build - it simply does not run. When I manually install .apk I don't get any errors messages, simply a green check mark and "Application not installed" message. Any thoughts? Running the latest version of air and Flash Builder 4.5.1

I have a project that uses video for a chat application, I can get it to work in the flex emulator but when I deploy it to the device the button that initiates the video doesn't change and video never starts. My devices all have 2 cameras except my computer but specifiying Camera.getCamera([1]) didn't change anything except mess up my emulator and cause a NullPointerException. Camera.getCamera([0]) works just the same as not having the ID. I have tried messing with different values quality and nothing makes a difference

I am creating a android app using adobe air (flex sdk 4.6.0) and i am trying to find out what the width of the phone screen is in pixels. So I am fallowing the tutorial here but when ever i copy the code into my project and click run it always gives me this error "TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference." and goes to the line that has stage.stageWidth I have also tried stage.width but it does the same thing. So does stage.stageWidth no longer work or how do you tell the screen size of the tablet or phone? Was it replaced with something else for phones? I am trying to get the information so i can center images in the center of the screen using action script.[code]

I have an Adobe AIR desktop application, built in Flex Builder 3, that I want to run on an android device, specifically a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. I have put the application on an emulator, going through the steps of installing AIR on the emulator, packaging the application as an APK, and installing the application on the emulator. However, when I click the application, it does not run. Here is my question: is this even possible? Can a desktop application be run on a mobile device with no changes to the code, or does it need to be converted to a mobile application before compiling?

I get this error every time:
Error occurred while installing the application:
864 KB/s (33668 bytes in 0.038s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/Main.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MEDIA_UNAVAILABLE]
I have a very simple "HelloWorld" action script mobile app which simply adds a text field to the display list. Running the app on the desktop using the HTC Desire simulator works just fine, however testing on the device is throwing that error.
On the phone I have installed the Adobe Air available on the Market, the device is connected and the version of android running is 2.3.3.
I can't seem to get away from this error. I've tried creating flex mobile projects and imported one of iBrent's tutorial projects [URL].. to see if they work but alas I get the equivalent fail error.

I am developing an app in Flash Pro CS5.5 to be deployed on the NOOKcolor. I have everything set up for the computer to recognize the NOOK through the USB (was able to reboot the device by using the command prompt window). I can move files onto the device via USB but I want to be able to debug from Flash. I am successfully able to do this with a Droid 2 phone. Is there something on the NOOK that has to be set up for Flash to recognize the NOOK as an android device that it can debug on?

I made a program in Eclipse that is supposed to run on an Android device. I got excited when it worked on the virtual device, but when I deployed it, it doesn't properly consume the web service that lets you authenticate. I'm using Flex to create the program, and the service is written in C# and hosted on IIS 7.0. Also, we've had trouble here with Androids and DNS, so I've changed all of the references that I could find to the domain name of the server to the IP address of the server.

I'm developping a mobile application in Flash builder. So in Flash Builder Burrito , I was using the Flex Hero SDK 4.5.0 but they currently realesed the Flex4.5.0.20967.
I downloaded the zip file [URL]
I extracted it into a map on my C: drive. Then I opened my flash builder burrito. Added him by (Window>Flash Builder>Installed Flex SDK's. I his add and added my location.
This went very well. I changed my code with the new commands.
Next I wanted to test on my android phone but now my problem: I can't make any apk files anymore.

I can pull back the data from the DB fine however I cannot seem to access the Global variable when I try. I have this application that is basically the ubiqutous page turning component you can find online, but modified for mobile. It's for kid's storybooks. It's a mobile flex application in FlashBuilder 4.6. When I export release build for my mobile project, I see an option for desktop .air packaging rather than mobile. Works and looks great....but you can't sell a .air file on Mac App Store. I want to bundle the air runtime to create a .app, which hopefully I can get on the app store. However, this option is not available in a mobile project. I've tried figuring it out via commandline...

I have created a simple "Hello World" Application using Flash Builder Burrito SDK. I have tested the result in the emulator it is working great. After that I deployed the application using "Export Release Build Option" and entered valid certificate details and created the .apk file. I copied the .apk file into the device and i run the application. I am unable to run the app. I have tried these in 3 android supported devices and in each of these I am getting different error messages.
I have mentioned the device in which I have tested and the error message I got while I tried to install the app (.apk file).
HTC Desire - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
Samsung Galaxy Tab - "Error while parsing the package of the application"
LG Optimus one (LG P500) - "Application not installed"
I have created a New Mobile Project in the flash SDK and added simple label "HELLO WORLD" in the view section. Before deploying I have installed Adobe AIR 2.5 in the device. I need to know whether any restrictions are there for applications developed using Flash Burrito Preview Release. (whether by default all android mobile version more than 2.1 will support it?) Also when I try to install "Tour De Mobile Flex" apk in LG Optimus, it is saying "Device not supported" message. How do I overcome these problems to run the apk file without any problems.
