Is there any Actionscript-C# API/Libraries available so that i can create a flash file via my C# program and manipulates the content of that (Ex : Add a motion tween animation to it). I have seen something similar to this in adwords.google.com (to create promotions/ads)

View 3 RepliesIn Adobe Flash CS3, is there a way of copying a complex animation from one document to another, differently sized document and have it appear in the same relative position, i.e. bottom left of my stage?I created a growing flower for a 300x250px file, and I want to use it in a 728x90px file. It has many keyframes. I tried pasting in the frames, but it appears off stage. I need to move it upwards. Do I have to move the elements at each individual keyframe, or is there a way of moving it universally at one go?

View 1 RepliesI'm creating an animated background/flash animation, in short I have several tweened pieces all moving/swinging around and I want them all to loop at the end of their individual loops. Each piece is on its own layer) I have been using gotoAndPlay(2); (I'm using a preloader so frame 2 is the start). The problem is (If I'm correct here) is the first layer to reach the end runs the "go to and play" resetting everything!. I want each layer to act independantly. Is there a different version of gotoAndPlay(2); that will work or am I looking at things like nested animations/importing individual fla's ect (all of which goes over my head).

View 3 RepliesIve read the transitions tutorial and understand how that works, however, the site that I am building uses actionscript for its animation rather than timeline effects (for the most part). creating smooth transitions between external swf when the animations are done in actionscript?
Right now in my external .swf I have two frames, the first frame is the intro the second is the outro. The only difference between the two frames is the actionscript is reversed from fading in to fading out (etc.) on the second. There is no midframe per say, it just stops on the first frame because there is a stop(); on it. When the user clicks out of that section it just moves and plays the second frame. This works, however I fear that that method will get me into trouble later on. Is there a better way of doing this?
In my project I used main document file, which could load multiple nested animations as a separate files. In the main document I had a global function, for example:
_global.onAnimationEnd(mc:MovieClip){...}
and in animations (could be nested) I just called it like:
onAnimationEnd(this);
I basically have this and what I need to do, is when the user clicks on one of those boxes on the right, it'll appear in the yellow box on the left.
Each of those right boxes will be unique with different graphics. It'll basically be different graphics to be displayed on a T-shirt, which will be represented by the big black square.
Now I know that each of those graphics should be a button symbol with mouse click event, but I'm not really sure how to handle the event.
Should I just create a clone of that item and move it to the target area? Or is it possible to create some kind of blank placeholder where I could just display it?
Is it possible to write text using Adobe AIR so that I can save it as an actionscript class file?
I want to generate my own classes using air, I just have not found anything that explains how I can save say a text file as a .as file.
I would like to create some AMF files for caching on a server.
I am wondering if the best approach is to reconfigure BlazeDS to create these files so it spits out local files?

I am doing an application where I am converting Text to Speech sing google translator.When i run the standalone swf or html it throws errors for enabling secury settings(local to network).If I go to adobe security settings and give the location of the file its working fine.But I do not want to do that every time if a create a new file.So can I add it programatically in the Source code.

perhaps i'm misunderstanding the nature of cross scripting or loading external swf files, but i can only seem to make this work if i've manually drawn display objects on the stage and not if the external swf's display objects are generated by code.is it not possible to load external swfs that are programatically created and add them to the display list of a main swf?

The story starts when one day, my boss asked me to make a flash presentation about their upcoming user training for a newly developed software. I was enthusiastic and excited about it because it's been a long time that I did not use Flash (note that I don't have any experience in ActionScript 3.0). At first, everything was a bit rough as I need to recall how to properly use the frames to create a successful animation. As I was about to finish the project, my boss approached me again and asked if I could insert a menu page in front so that the users won't have to replay the whole thing again just to look for a little something on that part of the movie. So yea, at first I was abit hesitant to accept. I said that it will work with Powerpoint. But she's a total pusher and I was forced to say yes. Now I'm having this problem about how to make a flash button load a swf movie.I've tried searching all over the net for tutorials but most of the times the "getUrl" and other stuff are said to be outdated.

When the external swf completes I would like to programatically click the TextField so that all the ActionScript within the TextField.onPress event will occur.I don't know how to programatically issue a click event. I could repeat all the code within the TextField.onPress event again within the external swf file but I thought it would be a lot easier just to programatically click the TextField again.

How do I make a line dotted programatically? A line can be made dotted if drawn in the IDE, so it's got to be possible, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the Graphics (lineStyle) class to allow for this.

create vector files programatically? The company I'm working for has to deliver vector assets to our clients (which are originally designed in flash, then the elements positions,scale and other details are stores in the database), and we want to eliminate the need for a human to actually create the vector graphic.
