Flash :: Flashpaper Is Gone - Embed The Browser Into Page
Nov 25, 2008
I taught myself enough AS2.0 to configure flashpaper within my flash portfolio. I have a bunch of blueprints of site plans, elevations, maps, etc. that I like to keep at full size (24"x36",30"x42", 36"x48", etc.) and it worked great with Flashpaper until I bought a new computer with Vista
I have tried Print2Flash (I don't think they print larger than 24"x36" and even then the resolution is srewed up). I have also used Scribd (all of these large PDF files keep crashing). Are there any other special browsers for these large PDFs? I would like to embed the browser into my flash page, but I also want to control the size and dimensions of the browser within the page. I have seen one or two websites that now have Acrobat Reader 9? resized within the main website window.
I am using Flash CS4 and would like to use the available browser component in AIR. However, any information I have found online uses Flex to embed this. Is it available in Flash? I was assuming it was part of the AIR architecture, so it would be able to be used in either, but it doesn't seem so.
I'm using an embed flash player in a web page and I want to scale it to browser window.hen I put "height: 100%" in the flash parameters, I get a blank page. This is the code of the page :
I'm using the following script to play a FlashPaper movie clip:
// function: loadFlashPaper // ------------------------ // Parameters: // path_s: path of SWF to load
[Code]....
Everything works fine on all pages including the page with the FlashPaper movie. The problem is after I visit the page with the FlashPaper movie my file starts to play through all the pages and wont stop.
I have a swf which is 1700px wide.I want to embed it to a page so it won't have scrollbars even if the browser window is smaller then 1700.But I need it not to be resized down
in the same way a UIWebView on XCode behaves, is it possible to embed a website or browser window in an Adobe Flash movie? Like an iframe, but within Flash itself.
I'm using flex. The flash object is remain the same size and not scaling when zoom in/out from browser. So the swf is not properly displayed in the given div. I'm wondering how this example could scaling nicely when zoomed in/out.
how to embed flash actionscript in a html page, where you can see difference in colorslike you see in the flash actionscript panel, or working with flashdevelop ?
Does anybody know how to embed an external HTML page into Flash? I am envisioning something like an iFrame, but can't really figure how this would work. I've attempted using a scrollpane, but it didn't work at all.
I need to create a flash intro. One of those that sits on top of the page for a couple of seconds, showing publicity but with some transparency for the users to see what's under it (the page itself). Can anyone tell me how to do that? I just can't seem to find a way to load a flash swf without being embed on the page.
This might be more of a Safari thing rather than Flash being that I've not seen this happen on any other browser or OS, but would anyone have any idea why this Flash embed of our player is offset as it is in Safari:?
[URL]
Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for those not in Safari:The weird thing is that it seems to only be *visually* offset; that is, if you roll over the area with your mouse, you'll see that it interacts as if it's in the right place and not offset; the browser treats it like it's in the right place, but it's visually offset to the top-left some dozens of pixels...
i would like to show my flash movie in a browser window so that it fills width and height as good as possible without distorting the movie. when i use the width and height attribute to the object/embed tags it only scales the width but not the height.
how to embed rtmp link to be viewed in a browser? I already tried Moeya but it is still not running. Anyone knows other solution to how can I embed this to a browser?
This is my code [code]Basically what I'm doing is creating a string with a flash object and embedding into a new window. Now this works perfectly with IE9 and Firefox but for Chrome and Safari I have to resize the new window and then the flash object appears.
I'm trying to make an mp3 player that passes javascript events to a flash file. I'm not very saavy in flash so this may be a simple question.. but how do you make a "movie-less" flash file? Is it possible to just embed an actionscript file? Because that is really all I need to run. Side note: What is the easiest (and fastest) way to pass params to actionscript using javascript?
I was wondering if there is a way to embed a youtube video in a flash page using actionscript 3. I have found several examples online for actionscript 2, but I need it in 3. If there isn't a way, is there a way to somehow open a new frame or something that I can just put html in?
Is it possible to change color and theme style of flashpaper when we load it in Flash? It's color is not good for my project... How can I change it's color from halo green to something else
I need some insight in to weather it is possible to use stage["diaplayState"]="fullscreen" in flash 8.. if not any way to open the browser in fullscreenmode with flash embed in it..
But i have done this in flash cs3 but using flash player 8 for publishing
also publishing an html in flash 8 does not show "allowfullscreen" value="true" in embed or object tags ..
i am wanting to know how much I can be sure that users of my website will not be able to pass bogus variables to my Flash movie. Basically I will have some features available to certain users and I realise that for the average user they will not know anything about how to send spoof vars but is it possible for someone to change the variables sent using SWFObject when a page loads and thus be able to use the functionality that I am trying to disable for them.I have a PHP (my_flash_movie.php) page that calls a function from an included globals.php file to determine if the user can see the restricted functionality is_ user_a_subscriber($_SESSION['user_id']); which returns 1 or 0. This 1 or 0 is then passed to Flash which enables or disables certain features. I dont want someone to be able to send a 1 instead of a 0 basically. This isnt a site where security is critical and the functionality that is disabled is not really critical either so wouldnt be too bad if this happened but im just curious about this and wondering if I should think of another way to pass these vars that might be more hidden.
Inside my /test folder/music_player/ have have a file called mini_player.swf. If I play it without embedding it anywhere, like this: [URL].. everything is OK. But when I add it into my index page: [URL].. the song doesn't start.
I have a simple html page with some javascript where if i click a link, it will show a flash video in a div using the swfobject.embedSWF function. I did a test: Uninstalled flash from my machine, then reloaded the page and clicked the link...I correctly saw no video. I then installed flash and came back to the same page (no reload) and the embed still won't work. I know in swfobject 1.5 (I'm now using 2.2), I would be able to embed the swf after the user installs flash, but now the user needs to reload the page in order to get the flash to appear. This is not good for my current situation, anyone know what is going on here? Here is sample code using a youtube video:
how could I get a Flash File to call a Javascript Function / Send a Variable back to a browser which Javascript could read?Basically working on something where as, currently at any moment during the web page is open Flash receives a variable.. Needs to process that, then call a Javascript Function in the page or if this can't be done, sends a variable back to the page which javascript will listen for every 500ms or something like this...
how can I make it so that my flash html page centers with the browser, when you expand the browser.. I have no problem with the index page, but its when going to my flash html page that I get this uneven amount of white space on the right side. For example, my index page.. when you resize the browser the page also centers itself when you expand.. but when on the flash html page you see the off-centered amount of space.
Is there way to get the browser to always load any swf files before everything else on a page (exept the external css and swfobject.js). Using Firebug's Net statistics I can see the swf files generally load last.
We have all our external js files inserted at the bottom of the page to help loading times.
