I've compiled an MTS video into MP4 format using FFMPEG. The video is 2 minutes long.
I want to be able to play the video back but start at 0:15 seconds and end at 0:45 seconds. Effectively I want the playback software to only show 30 seconds of playback available. The software must be a Flash-based application for integration into HTML.
I need a Flash player which can start my mp3 file from a specific time based on the embedding properties or on URL or just anything.

what i don't know is how to take that equation and determine another aspect based on 2 different bits of data.
figure out the ending _y position based on the starting point, the initial angle and the ending _x position??

The problem is "dataProvider" definition in LineChart, I wrote this code but it is still not working,

what is the right code to control the LineChart with the Slider.
I must have done something wrong because when I try this

I am doing a presentation in flash in movie languages I have 7 buttons when some body click button 1 it should go to a new movie called animate frame number 2 when some body click button 2 in movie language it should go to movie animate frame 6 if people click button 3 in language movie it should play movie animate frame 11 like that for all 7 buttons I have used the following code but its always going and stopping at frame number 1 in animate movie

Flash CS4, I have an f4v vid on one layer and another f4v vid on a second layer. the films do not overlap on the timeline. I have a button to goto the layer with the second f4v. All works fine however when I go to the second fv4 the first one continues to play which i obviously need to stop.

View 3 RepliesI need to create a tall background, when the user clicks on a button the background will scroll up and down to the area that the user wants to go to. ( I　attach an image of how that might look like)
The background is divided in to 4 sections, the way i figure to do this, is to have each section be a different part of the timeline- and what Ｉ need to happen is as the user arrives at one of the sections or in that part of the timeline the mc's on that sections start playing and stoping once he/she leaves.
If there is a better way of doing this as well- feel free of telling me- Im use flash about once a year.

I'm making a game in which the player must use the num pad keys to toggle switches. That flipping numlock key. If it's off the key codes change using
Key.getCode(); or
Key.getAscii();
So for example when the numlock is on 1 returns key code 97. But when numlock is off it returns 35 (for the key 'End'. Is there a way to disable or set the numlock key to on or 'toggled' when starting a flash movie?

View 2 RepliesI'm having a bit of trouble with flash cs3 video encoder. I'd like to encode some mpeg files to flv but I keep getting errors when trying to encode. The mpeg files are raw imported from my dvd video cam. I'm guessing they are mpeg-2 720 by 480 res. Quicktime files encode fine but I haven't tried any other video types. I thought it was a codec problem as all I use is vlc for video. So I tried k-lite codec pack nut no success, same errors. Just wondering if anyone had any advice. I suppose I could encode my mpeg files to mov first? But what encoder would I use to keep high quality?

i created a movie that gets a certain number of nodes from an xml file and places them randomly on the screen. The only thing is, that it does them at the same time. i want them each to be placed seperatly on the stage, getting faster as the movie progresses.
