Flash :: Asp.net Mvc 3 - Disappear After Few Seconds In Ie6
Jul 6, 2011
My flash is working fine in all browser except ie6. During loading of page I see flash fine in ie6 but once page is loaded flash disappears. Looked everywhere but can not find solution. in ie6 downloaded latest player WIN 10,3,181,34. version detected at [URL]
I would like to know what the best way to implement the following feature is...
I have a popup dialogbox that comes up when the user clicks an object on stage...I want this popup to disappear or "close" if the user does not click the "close" button after 2 or 3 seconds...any takers?
How can I make my Introduction_mc automatically disappear after 10 Seconds and load Home_mc (automatically)? I don't want user to change by himself this Introduction page. It should be done automatically.
When i use time varaible and then minus the time. Ive noticed that flash does not count down in seconds, but the speed of light. My maths are not very strong so how can i get flash to count in seconds
var time =60; sprite.onEnterframe = function(){ time -=1; ( this counts faster than seconds) }
I'm trying to figure out how I can make the sound file that I load into Flash start at x seconds and end at x+30 seconds.So basically, I just want a 30 second sample to play starting at a specific time position. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this or have links to somewhere I can read up on it?
I'm working with the youtube API and I'm getting the current time on the video as seconds.What I want to do is to convert them into this: MM:SS.I've tried to google and try different things by myself but nothing seemed to work and be efficient.
I am currently using the following code to display the secconds of a FLV being played: ActionScript Code:time_txt.text = Math.round(_root.video_mc.videoZ.playheadTime*100)/100;I need to change this to display MM:SS (minutes:seconds) rather than just seconds and decimals.The javascript people here at work suggested something like this:
ActionScript Code: function strPad(str, places, pad, side) { while (length(str) < places) {
1) I want a 60 seconds video to start playing after 40 seconds have been downloaded - to do that I set the NetStream.bufferTime to 40 seconds and retrieve "NetStream.Buffer.Full" event causing the video to really start playing. This step is OK.
2) However, the "NetStream.Buffer.Full" causes data to stop downloading. So the remainder of the video begins to download no sooner than after the 40 seconds have been played. This step is my issue. Can anyone tell me how to avoid this unintended effect? (i.e. playing a video and downloading data at the same time?)
I have a flash app that consists of buttons and depending on what button you click the app plays a different film.The films are all .flv, to play them I use fl.video.FLVPlayback and flash.display.MovieClip.The problem is the following: sometimes after watching a few different films the audio disappears, meaning the whole thing goes mute, film audio as well as click sounds of buttons.I ran it in debug mode but when it went mute no error message was printed.
I am creating a miner game (where there are pieces of gold and you have to catch them with hook).I modified the Main class to take all children of MovieClip(root) that has name "Gold" and them put them in an Array(boulders[]) where later check collision (I design and put on stage several "Gold" MovieClips for every level). When the player collects all gold (when the boulders array.length <= 0) then goToAndStop(nextLevel), where again it takes the gold MovieClips from the stage and if it's name is == "Gold" then put's it in the boulder[].
What happened: On the first level(frame 2 cause frame 1 is the preloader) everything is good - I have 2 gold MovieClips on the stage(in design mode) and all 2 gold are put in the array and displayed.
On the second level I have 4 gold and only 2 of them are put in the array and displayed.
On the third level I have 7 golds designed on stage, but only 3 are displayed and put in the boulder array.
It's almost the previous count of the gold(on the previous frame) are subtracted from the count of the next frame gold movieclips.I am placing the Main.as code:
public function createLevel(){ nextLevel = this.currentFrame + 1; for (var i:uint = 0; i < MovieClip(root).numChildren; i++){[code]....
Situation: Got a flash object with an icon bar (div with pngs) on top of it. Works on all browsers except Firefox 3.6 on Ubuntu 8. Example: http://ListAndPlay.com
Problem: Icons suddenly disappear after the flash is being loaded. See this screenshot: http:[url]...What I've tried: Setting z-index, recoding the JQuery behind it, nothing works.
this is a pleloader question when i simulate a download in flash of my pleloader it works fine. but when i ftp it to the server it goes blank no progress bar but the site still loads just with no progress bar. how do i fix this?
I'm attempting to learn flash using Adobe CS4. I've found some really good tutorials, but I can't use them because every time I draw something on the stage, the resultant drawing disappears immediately after I release the mouse. Since I can't see it, I can't select and manipulate it. I captured the behavior and stuck it on youtube. I don't have a mike on this system so there's no sound. [URL]. If I create the file with ActionScript 2.0 instead of 3.0, I get outlines of the objects, but not the objects themselves. That's not on the vid, but I'd rather use 3.0 anyway.
I have developed a Flash application for a client (wedding RSVP) and implemented it on the web. She complains that the textboxes and radio buttons disappear on IE6.

don't submit the RSVP, as I don't want to spam my client, but just tell me if you see the radio buttons and if you can fill out the textboxes.
I have a grid of objects that have been added to the stage dynamically, the objects are either of a Class Red or Class Blue, how do I perform a hit test on the Classes? I want the Blue object to disappear once it hits a Red one.
Flash CS5 is the first version I've used since 8 Pro, so I'm new to the IK tool and adding bones to clips/shapes. I'm experiencing problems when saving/loading files that have armatures in them. I have made several characters now with bones attached to their limbs, which are shapes (not symbols) each on their own layer. At first the animations seem to work fine, and I can export a test SWF with no trouble showing the animation as it should be.
However, returning to the FLA after saving and closing it produces some unusual effects. For example, the shapes will disappear from the stage/clip and the only way I've found to get them to reappear is to select them via the timeline or their (barely visible) pivot point, then deselect them, then undo these actions and for some reason they appear again! More worryingly, sometimes the armatures will take on shapes from different layers, meaning, for example, I end up having figures with two right arms, even though the limbs and their corresponding shapes/armatures are on completely different layers. I have not found a way to undo this, so I have to start some of the limbs from scratch, then make sure I've published/exported all the necessary files before I need to close! m experiencing problems when saving/loading files that have armatures in them. I have a large library that I am organizing of vector only files, some imported from Illustrator.
When I re-name some of the items other Movieclip items in the library lose their contents and all that is left is an empty symbol.
I repeated this several times and tried to find workarounds. Like duplicating the symbol. This worked for the one item but then it deleted another symbols contents.
I am trying make the background color of a div appear and then disappear like a flash coming and going but without nay success till now. On the click of a div, I am trying to give a flash effect to another div's background color.So far, my jquery knowledge have come to the following code:
I dinamically build a menu: this menu is made up of two nested MovieClips:
externalContainer_mc; itemsContainer_mc (inside externalContainer_mc at 0,0);
itemsContainer loads a dinamic number of MenuItems: they are library objects (extending the MovieClip class).Anything works just fine, but if, when anything is loaded, I put a mask (itemsContainer_mc.mask=my_mask) upon itemsContainer, every MenuItem disappears AND it isn't even clickable anymore. What happens?
The library swf has about 280 symbols which are exported for AS3. All works fine until I make a new movieclip containing a TLFTextField, as opposed to a TextField. When I build the swf, there are no warnings or errors, but at runtime, I cannot load any asset from the library swf. The hasDefinition always returns false for every single asset. I gave the swf to a colleague who used 010 Editor to see all the definitions in the swf, and he said there were no symbols in it. I deleted the TLFTextField, rebuilt the swf, and gave it to him again. He said now it has 280 symbols in it. Somehow making a TLFTextfield and compiling is screwing up every single symbol in the swf, even though get no warnings or errors at compile time.
I've created a jQuery plug-in that allows a selected panel of a web page to be pinned to the top of the browser view-port when the user scrolls a long page after passing a particular horizontal point on the page.When the panel is pinned or unpinned, a strange thing occurs: if a Flash SWF object is present as a descendant element of the container, the Flash object either restarts its animation or disappears completely.The pin or unpin change occurs when the CSS property "position" switches between fixed, absolute and static. This forces Firefox to redraw its elements and it causes the <object> to reload and reanimate the Flash movie. I read this post with interest:URL...
Does anyone know of a workaround that prevents the <object> tag from reloading? I admit the Flash is an ad, but this problem only occurs in Firefox. Although there are suggestions that this may be a bug, I have searched without success and I'm scratching my pate with a deadline fast approaching.
I have a flash document (Actionscript-3) with play button on top of a image, and an audio is played when the button is clicked. How do I make the play button disappear when it is clicked and audio is playing. The button should reappear after the audio has finished playing.
I'm using Flash and AS3 to write an app for iOS and for Android and I'm saving XML-data using shared objects. Now it struck me that when I supply an update to the app store and the user updates the app, will the shared objects remain intact or will they be replaced? I'd very much like them to remain as they were.
I'm building a site in flash using as3. I implemented an xml slideshow on the home page but it wont disappear when changing pages. Anyone could tell me how to remove it on other pages?
I have a swf thats loading external images to it.In all IE browsers, when i resize the browser window and the scroll bar appears, over half the images in my flash swf disappear.When i resize and the scrollbar disappears then the all flash images appear.Oddly enough this only happens when flash is loading over 38 images.
