When I add SequenceWaiter step into the SequenceRunner, how can I get event object wich was passed into the event? There is the code from my test function:

I'm using this AsyncHelper. I would like to create basic test case where I would like to dispatch event from the test method (by Parsley MessageDispatcher), catch this event in any other method and dispatch it back (by flex EventDispatcher).

The class Foo has an implicit event dispatcher to handle property change events. How can I access that without making Foo explicitly extend EventDispatcher?
I am using a box element to add a transparent overlay to a column of buttons. I want to add a click event to the buttons. However, when you click a button the click event is only triggered on the overlaying box. Is there anyway to pass the event to the underlying button or perhaps a better way to display an overlay without blocking the click event?

View 2 RepliesI am using shared object to share data between two users. First user connect to shared object and set some value in shared object. Please consider that second user has not connected with the shared object yet.Now when second user connects to the server and try to get that property set by first user, he could get shared object but could not get properties of Shared object set by first user. I observed few times that Second user can get these properties within "Sync" event between two users. But I would like to get these values for Second user in any stage (i.e. in load event etc.). Whenever Second user tries to get the property of Shared object, the object will reset the actual property value and then return reset value.
1) Is there any way to get all the properties of shared object before sync event called, as I want to get it immediately when second user connect to the application and perform next task based on the values stored in shared object.
2) Is it possible for second user to check whether any property has been set by first user? So that second user can use the property instead of reset it.

I have a Tree, which has an itemRenderer. On the itemRenderer, driven by the XML conditions, objects are created dynamically and added as a children to nodes. These new objects shall trigger an event handler ( some click events mostly ). How do I pass the event handler to the tree and later to the dynamically created new objects inside itemRendere?
Something like:

If I add a mouse-click event listener to both component(click-listener1) and icon(click-listener2), the event dispatched sequence is click-listener2, then click-listener1. I can understand it. But if I add a custom event to component (listener1), and mouse-click event to icon(listener2), when icon is clicked, the component will dispatch the custom event. In my test, the event dispatched sequence is listener1, then listener2. It doesn't match with event-bubbles rule.
In my opinion The custom event is dispatched in listener2, which triggers listener1. Why event flow sequence is not listener2, listener1?

When I use MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT the target is [object MovieClip], but when I use MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT I get [object Bildspel] - and Bildspel is my class. The thing is that when I use ROLL_OUT I'm not able to delete the targets ENTER_FRAME event.

Scenario: I have a built-in component DropDownList on change of which I want to create a custom event refreshPreview and want to propagate it to a custom component PictureComponent.
In the custom component's mxml, I have added the Metadata directive as follows to register a refreshPreview event with the compiler

Layout Details: In my main mxml application I have laid out DropDownList and the custom component such that both are siblings (i.e. have a common indirect parent)

I am seeing that the refreshPreview event is not getting propagated to the custom component.
I doubt this is because the built-in component is a sibling of the target (where the event got generated) and not a parent. how to make refreshPreview event propagate to custom component?
printableInvoice.addEventListener(batchGenerated, printableInvoice_batchGeneratedHandler);Results in this error: 1120: Access of undefined property batchGenerated. I have tried it as FlexEvent.batchGenerated and FlashEvent.batchGenerated.
The MetaData and function that dispatches the even in the component printableInvoice is all right. It I instantiate printableInvoice as an mxml component instead of via action-script it well let put a tag into the mxml line: batchGenerated="someFunction()

The difference here are two things, the earlier error is while converting flash event to custom event and now this one is while converting custom event to flash event and secondly, I have no clue why it is trying to convert to the mouseevent where I am just dispatching my custom event with proper listeners.

what appens when I add an Event Listener to Object Event?
Following the logic with the display list in AS3, I thought only Classes who inherit flash.display.InteractiveObject could react from events coming from mouses (or keyboard).
im looking for a way to add an PropertyChangeEvent to an object that I have defined. The goal is to raise a change event when any of the property of the object is been changed.
so i can do something like the following

newItem.addEventListener(event.PropertyChangeEvent, myO_PropertyChangeHandler);
Why can't I loop through an event object that is handed as an argument to a handler function?
