Nov 20, 2010high quality datagrid with: pagination CRUD - adding/deleting/updating rows by users other nice options such as filters, optionmenu, toolbar, etc. there seems to be several very good options in Javascript (Ext-jS, several Jquery plugins/widgets (JQGrid, Datatables, at least 6 more good open source components...) which are very well designed, implemented, documented and professional grade (and free).
however, everything i've seen to add above features to flex/AS seem to be hacks...
(there is one solution - flexicious - it isn't anywhere as good as some of the Javascript datagrids - not free either) can someone point me to any good solutions in Flex/AS (like Javascript Datatables or JQGrid)?

Jquery :: FullBg Plugin Mixed With .flash.js Plugin: Movie Disappear When Wmode=transparent?
Oct 16, 2011Im the new kid on the block so I apologyze if I'm not doing very well.Everything works fine till the moment in which I set the wmode param of the flash movie to transparent, then the movie completely disappears (it loads, as I can listen at the sounds) but it doesn't show.I would like to have a full background image with the transparent flash movie over it, that's all, if somebody can tell me how to fix this or even a new way to do it, it will be so good!!Here is my code, so simple, by the way:

Flash :: Plugin In WebView On Mac Different From Plugin In Safari?
Mar 10, 2012an answer here opening swf files using WebKit framework says the following about running SWF movies inside WebView inside Cocoa application: "because the Flash plug-in is not garbage-collection supported, the plug-in won't work if your application uses garbage collection".
Meanwhile, an answer here Flash AS3 animation in Mac vs Windows discusses Flash garbage collection on Mac (likely in Safari) and says that it sucks but it does exist.
So is the first claim about no garbage collection in WebView false or is the WebView plugin distinct from Safari plugin?

Nov 10, 2010I did suppress warnings in flex compiler using "-show-binding-warnings=false". But what I am interested to achieve is to suppress run time warnings (especially binding warnings - since I am getting data in model mostly in XML structures and it is fine for me if its unable to bind to its nested child nodes) in console (I am working on flex on Eclipse with the flex plug in). Is there a way to achieve it?

Mar 15, 2010I am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?

Both have single columns. Selecting one item from Divsions datagrid should display members of that Division in the Members datagrid. But following code has some problem and Members of a particular division do not show up when respective Divsion is clicked.

Oct 9, 2009I installed Flex Builder plug in (3.2) into Eclipse 3.4. The installation had no errors, but I get this error when trying to start a new Flex Project.The selected wizard could not be started.

Jul 31, 2010I have downloaded Eclipse - Helios and it is working perfectly. I am having a little trouble understanding the Flex functionality with Eclipse. Is it possible to download a Flex plugin or whatever it is called free of charge to develop and compile mxml and actionscipt files without having to purchase FlexBuilder 3 or 4 at a price of $600. I am under the impression that Eclipse is a free download and and Flexsdk is a free download. Can't they be put together into one tool? I cant afford the $600.

It will create as many checkboxes at are visible, plus a few more for padding, and then reuse them as you scroll. This is why you need to explicitly manage their state. How can improve it ? Even after selecting the "Show Logical Structure" button. Does anyone else run into this issue? Aug 31, 2010where does Flex builder 3 plugin output error messages? I'm trying to import wsdl however i keep getting an "unable to load wsdl" message.
Ive tried creating a trusted certificate in the jdk cacerts file however no success and could do with seeing what is actually the problem. I have looked under the Program Files/Adobe/Flex Builder 3 plugin/ folder but cant find anything which has been updated in the time frame ive been seeing the exceptions.

And I found in my current workspace, IntelliSense can only show the public methods, it cannot show me the protected methods (but it can compile and the app runs well).However, in other workspaces, it works well.If I create a new workspace, it's the same, that the IntelliSense can only show me the public methods, not protected methods.
