Dec 29, 2010I am porting my flash games on android. I have ported 3 successfully. But the problem with all of them is they are giving very low frame rate near about 7-8. And I have observed 1 thing that frame rate always varies. Sometimes it goes upto 45 and again in next frame it comes to 3-4 and again goes to 15-16.
I am quite confused. Please let me know if anyone is having any idea about this.

Aug 16, 2011I want to make a free game with flash. Several month ago, I created a free game with html5 canvas. But unfortunately, most of people who access the page of the game use old version IEs and they can not play the html5 canvas game. So I want make flash version of it.
Can I use Flash builder to create flash game? Or I have to buy Flash professional? Or are there other good softwares? I hope I could create flash games with Flash builder, because Flash pro is much more expensive than Flash builder. If I have to buy Flash pro, I'll buy it. But is it normal to pay more than 600 dollars for developing a free game? There are a lot of free flash games on the Internet. Did their developers pay 600 dollars to create their free games?

Aug 8, 2011I'm building a multiplayer card game using Flex on the client side and Java on the server side and I wanted to know if I must sockets and the accept method in order to connect users to the server for in order for them to join a game room or create one or to chat.In the past I've learned how to build a game server which both sides are JAVA and connection was in sockets but now days the client side will be in FLEX which has few ways to connect to a Java server (XML,SOAP,BLAZEDS(AMF)) and I find it hard to understand how to write the Java server in order to do all the features of a game server,especially managing the rooms and sending data back to the users.
In the sockets way, when a user was connecting to the server and he had opened a room, this room was opened on a thread and who ever was joined that room then he was connected to the same thread and sending the messages to the right place was easy, so the problem is understanding how to do the same using SOAP or BLAZEDS.

Nov 3, 2010I have a FMS 3.5 installed on windows 2003 server, with a NFS file system.Both the application directory and the data directory is on the network file system.Every two weeks the system became unstable because the Free system PTEs go under 2000.The only strange thing i've noticed is that the Virtual size of the FMScore grows to about 1.300.000K after few hours from the reboot of the machine and stay to this value indipendently from the load of the server, In another FMS installed on a machine without the network file system this value is 16.800 K.

Sorry if my code is terrible formatted, I am self taught using Adobe Help.This is what I need help on.I have a program installed on a game server (CoD4) that outputs the server information including player(s) info and would like to be able to make it so that there is a flash document on the website displaying the information for each player. I wanted the program to build the information automatically and so far I have been able to make it work but the formatting of the output is terrible.To make things simple, the only real information I need from each player is their name and guid. Dec 10, 2009I'm using Eclipse and I'm wondering what the best Eclipse/Java/Flexbuilder code review tool is. If it matters we're using SVN as our SCM. Here are the following I've come across: Jupiter - seems like it's been around for awhile it looks like there is only a single developer on the project and the documentation mentions rather old versions of Eclipse IBM's Collaborative Code Review plugin for eclipse - seems like its a proprietary code review tool so not sure it will be supported in the future (or have the ability for a community to assist in development). Eclipse COLA real-time shared editing - Not really a code review tool but more a way to view/edit files peer-to-peer style allowing code review like collaboration.
