View 1 RepliesHow to embed a custom SWF based audio player into facebook wall posts? I want to start posting mp3 links on my and other walls and at one point I saw someone do this and a mp3 player was embeded in facebook to play the audio. and I want to use hotkeys for audio play, so I need to know html element id for play button.
So I was wondering if there was a way to create a video player or edit some open source video player with the functionality that users can add comments straight from the video player. So if you're trying to picture it, it would be something like this: the tool bar at the botom would have the usual seek bar, volume control, play/pause buttons etc, and now an additional button that when clicked would trasform the tool bar into a text box which can be used to enter comments while watching videos. The comments would then be entered below the video.
View 1 RepliesI've got a flash player (using JWPlayer) that plays an audio file. The file plays fine. How do I provide the embed code for end-users to copy, so they can post the player and play the audio file on their own site directly? Should I be using HTML <pre> tags somewhere? Or JavaScript to generate the embed code / link?

I want to know if it is possible to use javascript, flash or flex to make a youtube video player that is capable of controlling left/right audio channel volume. For example, mute the left channel and play right channel audio on both left/right speakers.
View 1 RepliesMaking a piano/keyboard application and trying to figure out the best way to set this up .I plan on having a directory of sounds for each 'instrument' in my assets folder (piano1/C4.mp3,piano1/D4.mpg,...)Is there a way to import/embed all of these as an array? Also is there a way I can pass a variable to this class to indicate which folder I want to import these from? Something that would be ideal
var type = "piano2"; //passed from class being called by
foreach(notes as note){
[Embed(source = 'assets/sounds/'+type +'/'+note+'.mp3')] private const C3:Class;
public var c3:Sfx = new Sfx(C3);
}
Or would it be a better idea to have a class for each of these "types" that pulls all notes?
Anyone know of a skinnable audio player (or something similar to Windows Vista audio control in task bar) that i can embed in my website?
A player that can be customized to use a 'speaker' icon instead of a 'play' icon. When the speaker is clicked, the volume can be adjusted or turned off. The option of being able to autoplay and set the default volume level.
I have an audio player that has a custom timeline and playhead. I am using a start and stop drag to move in the time line but the only way i can make it work is to have it play when ever I release the play head. I would like it to stay stopped if the player is paused and play if the player was playing.

My server is streaming binary audio data (mostly mp3 files) to a client (a browser). This client stores the audio data in memory.
What I'm looking for is a flash audio player that I can input the binary audio data so that it can play the audio file.
Preferably, the flash client is merely a bridge to Javascript so that I can handle everything in Javascript and simply use Flash's audio features, but this is not a requirement.
I'm looking for a (free) flash player that I can embed in my site and use to play a .m4a (.mp4 with AAC audio) file that will be obtained using a URL (i.e. it's not local to the server hosting the web page).I've tried searching on google for one, but either I'm searching wrong or no one has made such a thing. Ideally this would be very simple (small user interface with play button and maybe a progress bar) and it would be easy to have multiple instances of on an html page (can create the player with an <object> tag).

View 1 RepliesIn the Library the mp3 has checkmark in "Export for ActionScript", and has "Class" set to "Song". There is no checkmark in "Export in frame 1", yet despite this, it seems that the mp3 is exported to frame 1. I have generated a size report and seen that the mp3 data ends up in frame 1. If I remove the mp3 from the project again, then I can see that the size of frame 1 drops from about 1.7 Mb down to 20 Kb.[code]...
How can I play audio in flash AS3 with audio is embedded in frame 2 ?
I am looking for a flash mp3 player that will work within the Opera-based browser on the Wii. The player needs to be javascript enabled (support methods like play, stop etc.) The mp3 tracklist will be built dynamically using ajax on the same page as the player so it must trigger an event when a track finishes playing (or at least provide functionality of some kind to indicate that it's time to start the next track). Does anyone know of such a player?

guide me through the process of embedding an audio recording widget on my site, where people can record short (~5 secs) voice clips? I have absolutely no experience with Flash but since HTML5 is not there yet, it's necessary.
View 2 RepliesIm making an animation to describe how a potential iphone app would work. Its going to be a 3 min clip not interactive at all, just plays right through showing how it would work. This is not for web. Just for presentation purposes.
By problem is this: Within the timeline, i need to embed a 20 sec clip (with audio) the plays automatically and when it ends the rest of the animation continues. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this without the audio and video being all messed or the video not exiting the screen once its finished. I hear all this talk of action script but have no clue where to start.
I want to ask that how could we embed a flash banner so that it should work with IOS as well. Currently I'm using this code, but want to change it so that it should work with IOS as well.

View 1 RepliesI am interested in streaming audio on my website, but I have no clue where to begin. There are two types of streaming I hope to achieve. The first would be streaming a playlist of songs stored on the server and the second would be live audio streaming. Can anybody recomend any good sites or plugins to use?
View 2 RepliesI've made a website, to test the html5 audio. Unfortunately some browser doesn't support it. How to use a flash backend? I haven't found anything useable. The flash backend examples on the web use the DOM element, not the new Audio(). I don't want to use JQuery for this little experiment.

As the site will be totally in flash, there is no use of JavaScript required. So, what is the best way to embed a SWF file into a web page without using JavaScript. And why do you consider it to be the best one?
View 3 RepliesI have a large module written in JS which uses Canvas to draw and animate trees. This module was written for a product which is now being migrated to flex.
Is there a way in flex to embed this JS module as is? Or would I have to rewrite the whole module in AS3 (shudder)? Further, if embedding is possible, would user interactions (mouse clicks) etc. work seamlessly?
An example of the tree structure I am talking about can be found here - [URL]..
Can i use javascript to check whether the video is running or stopped? I have to loop the video but putting loop='true' in the embed doesnt work out well. Is there a javascript method to check if the video is running or stopped?

I put object and embed tag in a why page and run on IE Everything is ok.
But when i put object & embed tag in a page of joomla
I get immediately error ( i think joomla have problem )
__flash__removeCallback(document.getElementById("flash"), "loadData");
Object doesn't support this property or method it seem like not exists function _flash_removeCallBack
I have researched and found documents about problem[URL]..
I try to override that function but not effective. How to fix it ?
I need to suppress the default right click menu for flash embeds.
I've set menu to false, as well as used a stop default function on the right click event, but it still displays the menu.
Also, I don't have access to the .fla's, as the flash objects weren't created by me.
I just started developing flash recently and I need to globally mute the audio in an swf by javascript ... I've got the following functions in my AS3 already.
Code:
function mute():void
{
var st:SoundTransform = new SoundTransform(0);
SoundMixer.soundTransform = st;

Do I need to use addCallback() somehow to trigger this through javascript?
This problem is happening is both IE8 and IE7. I have a small swf compiled with flex. It's basically just a wrapper around audio streaming functionality. All the controls and such are in html with javascript. I load the swf using swfobject's "static" method. This works great in Firefox and Chrome. In IE, the swf loads correctly, but as soon as I try to stream any audio with it, I get an error. EDIT: I've reduced the code quite a bit to try and find the problem. You can see the new version running here. Here is the error, html and flex files for my reduced version:

I'm looking to start learning a scripting language for web audio and sound development. It needs to be able to handle simultaneous audio events, eg; to trigger a sound when another is playing (I'm not sure if and how this is possible, but have witnessed this kind of presentation: [URL] (can this kind of thing be done with JavaScipt?, this looks like AS / Flash)).
From what I can tell the choice appears to be between JavaScript (JS) and ActionScript (JS), with details as follows: - If going the JS route (look into JS and HTML(5) audio capability) Learn about the basics of HTML and CSS, and then start to look into JavaScript, Ajax, and JQurey (library / framework for JavaScript). If going the AS route Will not need to know as much about HTML and CSS. AS is the language behind Flash. Not supported on the i-phone(?) I know Java to around an intermmediate level.
