I'm currently working on a project that has been made by someone else. The problem right now is that if I play the .swf that's located in the folder of the .fla everything works fine in the movie. However, if I open the .fla I get a message telling me I need a minimum of 200 frames to run the movie. Pressing yes or no doesn't help, because after I ctrl+enter to play the movie it skips bits and acts all weird.
Everything in this .fla seems to be made in keyFrames, so no external ActionScript documents are present.
I am using Adobe CS5 myself and have no idea in what CS this project was made.
I have a bunch of fla files with a sequence of frames that need to be readjusted due to a change in frame rate requirements. How can i add frames to specific frame numbers using JSFL script? Or at least what API can i use? Is there one in one of the properties and methods of the DOM object from fl.getDocumentDOM?
Adding frames across multiple layers...that's what I want to do. I do not want to add frames one layer at a time if I can help it as I have a good 20 layers going and I'm bound to miss one or something. Now if I am in a tween layer adding frames I know what that does...but it will add more frames of what ever is going on at that point in that layer...right? (Ex. empty space...you will be adding more empty space...next layer has a tween...you are adding more tween...right?)
In CS5, I want to create a series of buttons that when clicked will linked to other frames in the same timeline. So one button will link to frame 5, one will link to frame 10, one will link to 15, etc. All the buttons will appear across the top of the stage on a layer, and I want them to appear on all of the frames so the user can click back-and-forth to the different frames/screens.
1. Is the best way to do this to just add the buttons to frame 1 and add a keyframe to the last frame in the timeline, frame 15, so they are copied to all the frames in between?
I need severe help with a template I am using that has action frames.It is a photo album template that allows me to turn pages by clicking my mouse in the lower corner and dragging it across.If I copy frame 5 and past it as frame 8 and I change the image on frame 8 it also changes the image in frame 5.[code]
for instance I have head or tail game. a coin first comes to the screen as head or coin not visible. but program has assigned already for its a game. and I have two buttons, head and tail. it asks head or tail. I push one of the buttons. (up to here I can handle all the codes). but now if I guess it true, I want the program to ask it again. (I can also handle the code up to here, if I push the timeline for example 100 key frames, as knowing 100 over and over is almost impossible).
But by which code I can make the test continue Without multiple keyframes.
I want to be able to add an action script for a button that is able to jump to different frames of a movie and play them in sequence. For example I want to be able to add an action script to a button so that when the button is released I want the movie (animation) to start at frame 10, play till it reaches, frame 20, then immediately jump to frame 30, play to frame 40 and then stop. The Idea is to play different animations in sequence with just one button. Whenever I press the button I don't want to see the animation in frames 1-9 or 11-19. If I can figure out how to do this I will be to have different buttons controlling different sequences of the animation of the movie.
I am developing application for recording the video in mp4 format with h.264 codec and I am able to record video in mp4 format with h.264 codec, but when I am compiling the Swf by "CTRL+Enter" at that time I am facing error "VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.media::H264VideoStreamSettings could not be found" and when I am publishing Swf by "ALT+Shift+F12" then I am not facing any error,what step I need to do for removing the error.
For some reason I can't add ActionScript actions to a timeline frame within a Button Symbol, like I normally would with MovieClip symbols or on the stage. The Actions panel shows this message:"In ActionScript 3.0, code cannot be placed directly on objects. Please select a frame..."even though I definetely have a frame selected.

I am using the NetStream class with FMS to record the audio stream from the client's microphone to the FMS server.So far so good, the stream gets saved to the server as a .flv file. A php script grabs this file via ftp and copies it to the user's file store.What we need now is to either record the stream directly as .mp3 OR convert the recorded .flv to a .mp3 file - and this is where it gets interesting.

We are recording live streams on a Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5.3 r824. In general, everything works fine, so there are no appliaction-issues. But sometimes (it is not reproducable yet) a stream stops recording without any notice or event in the application. These streams are in general sent by Adobe Media Live Encoder.
We just bought two Decklink Studio cards to use with our live streaming servers.First, everything works fine. We have high quality flash live streaming, using SDI input with embedded audio.But after approximately 10 hours of streaming,the quality comes down, and the frame rate too, looks like the encoder start are dropping frames.Then if we just try to stop the live encoder, they freeze.The only way to close the program is forcing with CRTL+ ALT+ DEL.At this time, if we restart the FMLE, all works fine again, for more or less 10 hours.
I have been conducting some tests and am totally lost as to why flash based broadcasting drops frames. The genral formula for calculating bitrate is : bitrate = Width x Height x FPS
Now if this value is lower than Camera.bandwidth then why should flash still drop frames ?I have checked with FMS performance tab: bytes in is well bellow Camera.bandwidth as well , but still flash drops frames... why??
I need to display large number of streams in one flash player. In order to minimize cpu load i want to display only intra frames in h264 video. I have tired receiveVideoFPS method of netstream with value 1 and 2 but it is not giving the correct result.
In wowza server i tired recieveVideFPS with value -3 and it is giving the correct result as i want but after some time flash player crashes in all the browsers and in air too.

I have a delicate question for you which i cant find an answer to.Problem:I want to add an object (lets say it's a logo) to a camera stream before i save it to the FMIS. So the logo is integrated with the camera as it would have been placed in a layer above.Is that possible and if it is, how do i do it? Can I add overlaying graphics upon the live stream by server-side ActionScript before publish the stream? For example, suppose in case of video conference, I want to put a mask graphic on peoples face to hide them, and change the mask on the fly by server-side code, such as moving it or making it transparent.
I am using FMLE and fms 4 ent. When using fmle to broadcast webcam without audio. It goes really fast. I am on 1gbps connection with nothing else coming to the server at moment. I tested download speeds to and from the server and they are around 700mbs. I have tried all the different audio sample and bit rate settings. All have the same result. Once audio is turned on there becaomes a 15 second delay. What am I doing wrong.
I am building sort of a slideshow that features a counter. Everytime the countdown gets to 0 it should go to another frame RANDOMLY and start itself again. So far, I was successful at that using a Math function [i.e. gotoAndStop(Math.round(Math.random() * 5)+1);]. However, i needed the random function to include UNIQUE instances, so that it would not go twice to a same frame. Everywhere I looked for I was told that the way of doing that was creating an Array.
However, it all worked with the Math function and now that I have an array not only it doesnt work but I get a runtime error, an ArgumentError: Error #2109: Frame label 0,2,3,1 not found in scene Scene 1. It's like it cannot find the source of the randomiser function. How did this happen and, how can I make it work and still obtain a unique randomised order?
How would I go about adding chat to FMSS during live webcam broadcasts? I will be using FMSS to broadcast webcam.Obviously it is an outgoing stream only as I am told to do cam to cam I need FMIS and at present I do not need cam to cam and I can not afford FMIS.I want the viewers of the webcam broadcast to have a chat window where they can send comments to the person on the webcam and the person on the webcam can type back if they want to.I have glazed over some posts here and saw that it can be done in Flash, I want to know if I can do it with FMSS. It does not need to be elaborate.
I'm trying to add a custom callback handler to a NetStream client in a p2p application. The problem is, when I add such a handler, the NetStream Client doesn't function as it did before. It seems the NetStream.client object is changed. I know the default object is this. But changing the client to this doesn't solve the problem. The remoteControlStream, is the incoming stream. And the localControl stream is the stream being published. This is the localControlStream that's being send by the peer, and received as remoteControlStream:

The onPeerConnect method of the localControlStream doesn't get called when I connect when the above handler is added. When I remove the that handler, the onPeerConnect method gets called. Obviously the problem is the NetStream.client.
I watch the video tutorial of Mr. Lee Brimelow, I follow the tutorials but I encountered an error the loaded swf file doesn't start at frame 1 it jumps up to 115 frames.preloader.flamain.fla - animation starts at frame 115main.fla containts different scenes.
In my flash, I created a transparent button in the first frame in the uppermost layer and in the timeline it spanned the entire flash. I'm running CS4 AS 2.0 and flash player 10 When I right click the button and add the code in actions on (release) { if (clickTAG.substr(0,5) == "http:") { getURL(clickTAG, "_blank"); } } and I try to export, I get a compiler error: Mouse Events Are Permitted Only For Button Instances.
So I'm getting a memory error when I try adding a keyframe to a rather large flash file that says "Not enough memory available" but I know I have plenty.
I'm running a 3.0ghz Quad core with 8GB of ram and about 100 gigs of HD space free on every drive (save the one where flash is installed, it has 16gb).
I've increased my virtual memory to 4096 - 8192 on my C drive and to 2048-4096 on the drive flash is installed to so it shouldn't be a page file issue either.
I have been encoding 1920x1080i mov files (h.264/aac) to 1280x720p (vp6/mp3) flvs.However, when I add older HD content into the AMC que, content with non-standard presets, the program hangs.I tried to import about 15 files last night and the program just sat there all night in a 'NOT RESPONDING' state.The video's have different audio and video settings and it's little difficult to pinpoint exactly what they were.Some are 1440x1080, some are 1280x900, some have PCM audio some of mp3.Now I temporarily resolved this issue by simply using cs4 master on my mac pro which worked great.However I have noticed a huge speed increase in CS5 64bit AMC.It takes 2-3 hours to encode 1 flash video on my mac pro (dual quad core xeon 2.9Ghz/32GB ram) with CS4.It takes ~20 minutes on my windows 7 station (single core 2 quad 3Ghz/8GB ram) with CS5.
If I drop a single file into the AMC CS5 que, regardless of the resolution, frame rate, or sound codec; it will import.If I then add another file with a different resolution AMC will hang and become non-responsive.It never crashed but I can't wait 12+ hours to see if it accepted a job or not.As I said before this problem was not observed on CS4 for mac it worked flawlessly, albeit a little slow.[code]
