Javascript :: Defer Loading Elements Until Flash Gallery Images From XML File Finish Loading?

Nov 15, 2010

How would you defer loading of other graphics on the page until after the images in a Flash gallery's images.xml file are finished loading?Is there any way to detect for this, or would I only be able to check if the flash swf object is finished loading? I'm pretty sure the swf object would be loaded/ready as with document.getElementById('flashobject').onload = function(){}; before the corresponding images have loaded though, instead of after.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Preloader Can't Finish Loading

Mar 20, 2010

I was working on this flash for a website. I was using swish max2 to create the flash, then after I finish the flash, I checked it on my pc before uploading it to the site, it worked fine. After I've uploaded it to the site the preloader doesn't finish loading. I've to refresh it again and again to make it complete to 100%. I tried to reduce the size from 700kbps to 409kbps by removing and optimizing pictures inside the flash but it still stops loading. I tried to put it on another site and preview it alone by typing the url for the flash file, but it's still the same.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Loaders Continue Loading Same Swf Over And Over?

Feb 13, 2009

I have 5 loaders on a frame, each loads an external .swf on enter_frame. Everything works great, but the problem is that after this frame, the movie gets really bogged down and slow.

After running through debug, it looks like the loaders are loading the .swfs over and over again, so I end up with multiple child .swfs in each one, which I am guessing is the reason things start running slow. I am obviously missing the script to tell the loader to only load once, then stop loading.

Here's the code:

Code:
stop();
brandsOne.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, brandsLoader1);
brandsTwo.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, brandsLoader2);
brandsThree.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, brandsLoader3);

My program reads a rather large data file that is crucial to the display of the program I am making.I have an event listener that waits for my loader to load all data from the file, and it then adds all the data (and parses it) to a 2d array.Unfortunately the program flow doesnt wait for the loading to finish, so when it checks the array, it is still empty because nothing is loaded into the array yet.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Finish Animation On Button When RollOut?

Dec 30, 2009

I have looked all over internet and so many different forums but no1 has the answer yet but here is what i rly wanna do in AS2 :

lets say i have a button(which is a MovieClip and not an actual button) tweening in size to 150% from frame 1 to 40 and then another tween sizing it back to 100% from frame 40 to 80. Then when some1 Rolls Over the button you see this animation going in a loop from 1 to 80 and again and again etc. BUT i actually want a Roll OUT that finishes the animation to frame 80 (even when some1 rolls out on frame 10 or so) and then returns to and stops on frame 1.

This seems quite easy to me and i used several stuff including currentframe etc but i cant make it to work.

ActionScript 1/2 :: Stop And Continue Movie With Button Click?

Jan 13, 2010

I am a novice and have just completed my first animated movie. The movie is currently looped and I have created and invisible button the size of the frame with the intention that a user can click on the movie image to stop it and on second click continue the movie from where it stopped. I have used the AS event handler method to stop the movie. I have tested it and it works. But I cannot figure suitable code to restart the movie.

Two questions;
1. Am I going about the task the right way? (should I use two buttons, one stop, one start)?
2. If my approach is feasible, can anyone give me the correct AS to re-start the movie and put me out of my misery please?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Continue Zooming In For As Long As The Mouse Is Over The Button

Jun 7, 2004

i've made a button that zooms into a movie clip on a rollover, but it on moves it a certain amount each time you rollover the button. code below: on (rollOver){

_root.Mypic._width += 5;
_root.Mypic._height += 5;
}

wot i want it to do is to continue zooming in for as long as the mouse is over the button, is there anyway i can change the code to zoom in at the same amount but do it continuously until the mouse is moved off the button. Also is there anyway that i can set it so that the zoom stops at a certain percentage, i.e. it only zooms in so much and then stops. What i mean is that the user can zoom in but the picture will only zoom in to say 200% of the original size.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Using A Cue Point To Pause FLV And Timelines Then A Button To Continue Playing

Aug 25, 2010

Im trying to make a FLV cue point pause the FLV and also pause the entire timelines inside the swf. Then everything would continue playing when the user would click a "continue" button.

Basically I have a flash presentation that load an external FLV and a bunch of graphics that go with the video. At one point I need everything to pause so a small flash game can come in and the user can play it and then when they are ready to move on they can click "continue" and the FLV would continue where it left off along with the rest of the timeline.
