ActionScript 2.0 :: Broadcasting An Event From An Embedded Swf?
Aug 31, 2009
I need to dispatch an event from the timeline of an embedded swf that is listened for in the main swf. So far, I successfully have the event being dispatched using the method outlined here [URL]. I'm just having trouble figuring out how to build the listener in the main swf.
Just want to be sure I am broadcasting my p2p stream correctly. I cannot play the stream so I want to make sure I am broadcasting correctly first then I will move on to worrying about playing it.
I created a netconnection. nc.connect("rtmfp://blah/multicast"); onNetStatus I check for connection success. On connection success get my webcam and audio and attach it to my stage for local viewing.
When I click Publish it makes a netgroup with the nc. On netgroup success I create a netstream with the nc.I attach the camera and audio to the netstream. On netstream success I publish. I get publish success.
Does that mean I am publishing correctly? I have no way of conveniently viewing the stream. When I try to make a new netconnection, netstream, and try play it doesn't work. I don't know if it is because it refuses to play my own stream or if I am not publishing correctly. It does say I am publishing.
When user first time log into site camera start the capturing and stream is saved in application folder with the streamname(straemname.flv). then user logout and then logged in then i have to append that stream in same straemname.flv filey this code i have done that task
camera = Camera.getCamera(); camera.setQuality(0,80); camera.setMode(videoWidth,videoheight,15,true);camera.setLoopback(false);
usually i do Camera.getCamera but when this method is called the user is prompted with a dialog box where he can choose to allow or to deny the application access to the camera, or he could not have a camera
how can the application now whether the camera is broadcasting ?
I have a class that loads a swf [AS] private function setupSwf(swfXML:XMLList):void { swfLoader = new Loader (); swfLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.INIT, swfLoaded); swfLoader.load (new URLRequest (swfXML.toString())); container.addChild(swfLoader); [Code] ..... I want the swfFinishedHandler() in the main Class to be called when the timeline gets to the dispatchEvent, but its not firing.
We want to develop a broadcasting application, there would be a main broadcaster on video, with a lot of chatters. There would also be some chatters going on webcam (6 max). I'm still checking out NetGroups, IP Multicast, RTMFP Multicast, Fusion etc. but I am still lost. I also want to make sure that people who can't support RTMFP can be a part of the program by using RTMP, if that's possible right now to combine RTMP/RTMFP in such a big broadcasting application.
I embedded a small swf file into my MXML file and would like to prevent users from navigating to next page until the embedded swf finished (mean stop running)How can I catch the event when the embedded swf stopped?I know when the movie begins to play as the code below but I don't know how to get when it stoppedThis is my first ever try to use Adobe Flash Builder
Code: <![CDATA[ public function loadMovie(event:Event):void { Alert.show("Hello1.");
I have been looking all over for a solution, and I find a lot of posts that ask the question, but sadly no answers.
I am using an flv (videoClip) with embedded event cue points. These cue points bring on bullet points based on where the video is in the playback. Sadly when I use the seekbar the bullets will stay on until the next cue point is reached. I think I am getting close, but am hoping someone can help me finish it out!
I have an as3 class with an embedded swf. I need the embedded swf to dispatch an event and have the as3 class action on that event. This used to work fine when the embedded swf was embedded and had been loaded as an external swf, however now that it's embedded the listener never picks up on the dispatched event.
I've created a simplified example below, the 'onMovieComplete' function is never called.
/* I have an external swf file 'movie.swf' with a simple animation in it. * When the animation hits a frame (frame 70 in this case) it fires a * Event.COMPLETE (using:- "this.dispatchEvent(new Event(Event.COMPLETE));" ) */
[Code]....
why the event dispatched from the embedded swf is never picked up by the listener?
we would like to purchase Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 to solve the following problem
1.Broadcast network internet lectures on a paid subscription,with the possibility user authentication.
2. Broadcast video and audio.
3. Broadcasting from several sources (1 camera, 2 camera, TV tuner, etc.)within a single stream with the possibility of the user to choose the viewing source, other sources at this time, you can view the preview.
4. The intended audience for 10 000 users and more. 5. Estimated flow rate of 1 megabit per second.
1. Is it possible for broadcasters to use a single server, or they need more? What configuration? 2. Does Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 multicast? 3. How to make the system user authorization? Additional software, plug-ins? 4. How many users can simultaneously connect to the broadcast Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5 and how we calculate the bandwidth and outbound traffic?
When user first time log into site camera start the capturing and stream is saved in application folder with the streamname (straemname.flv). then user logout and then logged in then i have to append that stream in same straemname.flv file .By this code i have done that task
camera = Camera.getCamera(); camera.setQuality(0,80); camera.setMode(videoWidth,videoheight,15,true);camera.setLoopback(false); video.attachCamera(camera);ns.attachCamera(camera);ns.publish(stream, "append");
when user again logged in ,the video which is saved previously start playing,I dont want start that video.I just want to show camera control
I am running a website similar to Ustream and Justin and i am using Linux dedicated server, that have FMS 3.5 Installed. On My site registered broadcasters can stream their live video.
I want to know how can i limit the broadcasters so that they cannot broadcast a live video more then 512bitrate in their encoder.
currently any broadcaster can broadcast a live channel at any bitrate he wants and that is consuming too much of my server's bandwidth.
I am working on a simple flash project. In Scene 1 I have a large image above and a long scrolling image below which is a movieclip called image_slider. The Scrolling is set with actionscript 3.0 mouse over event listener. When the user moves the mouse right image_slider moves left, when mouse is left it moves right. It works very nicely. Now I wanted different parts of image_slider to change the large image above when they are clicked.
So I decided to do these actions as part of the image_slider movieclip. So I have added transparent buttons to the image_slider movie clip and added event listeners for them and functions to gotoandstop at different frames in Scene1. This works well.
My problem is that now the image_slider no longer moves freely. It does move, but as you can see it if your mouse stops moving the scrolling will stop at the next button. You have to move the mouse again to make it keep scrolling. I don't know why it has decided to do this. how to stop it from stopping at each button edge?
I'm trying to create a FMS application that is broadcasting some data across connected clients using SharedObject. I want only the Application to be granted to set SharedObject properties.
I have a video capture device on a machine. I have written a windows application to capture the video from this device. While capturing, if i try to broadcast using flash it does not connect. If i'm already broadcasting and then try to capture then my windows application does not get the capture pin of the device. So, flash seems to be taking the capture pin. Is there anyway to broadcast using the preview pin on the device so that i can capture using my application. Or is there way where i can split the capture pin and give one to my app and one to the broadcaster
1- We want to radio broadcasting in cfm server. Do we need also install fms 2- We created a flash player as radio online player. Our problem is, when anyone open the player link, they must listen the same song at the same time. Is there any article or any advice about that ?
I'd like to gain read only access to the following parameters of embedded Flash videos located on sites that I do not own through my own custom browser extension/add-on:
Time location of playback head (so I can display the current time in the browser extension via HTML5/JavaScript) Frames (so I can make capture them to an image file, save it and display image in browser extension) Original Dimensions in pixels (so I can display the original video dimensions via JS/HTML5 in browser extension)
Is this possible by using Javascript and HTML5 from a browser extension?
Would I have to use something like the SWFObject Javascript API [URL]
I made a flash mp3 player and it works fine in any other test pages. but when i embed it onto my site it just shows blank. what do i do? my site is [URL] and the flash player i tested here [URL] and it plays. What im i doing wrong? i tryed everything. right now i just got it in a iframe but i dont want that iframe.
Looking at the attached file, why does bottomScrollV give me the wrong value when the text is dynamically embedded and correct when manually embedded?
Here's the code: ActionScript Code: var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoad); loader.load( new URLRequest("info.xml") );
I have editable grids which are 2-way binded to my model. What I want is to validate my data when user edits any cell before it get updated in model. I have applied my validation at ItemEditEnd handler, but, I want to apply validation in between itemEditBegin and itemEditEnd events.
I have an embedded font in my AIR/AS3 app that lacks support for most internationalcharacters. Using TextField and StyleSheet with the font-family property, I assumed I would simply need to do this:font-family: Interstate-Regular, _sans;This works if TextField.embedFonts = false; but then Interstate-Regular isn't embedded for users that don't have it on their system. With TextField.embedFonts = true; the text doesn't even show up. Is there a way to embed Interstate-Regular and still use _sans as a fallback system font without embedding it as well?
I hava a custom component and it contains a child icon. If I add a mouse-click event listener to both component(click-listener1) and icon(click-listener2), the event dispatched sequence is click-listener2, then click-listener1. I can understand it. But if I add a custom event to component (listener1), and mouse-click event to icon(listener2), when icon is clicked, the component will dispatch the custom event. In my test, the event dispatched sequence is listener1, then listener2. It doesn't match with event-bubbles rule.
In my opinion The custom event is dispatched in listener2, which triggers listener1. Why event flow sequence is not listener2, listener1?
In component.
icon.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, iconClickHandler); private function iconClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void {
I'm looking for a embedded language that can be used to script common code between a server app written in C# and a client app written in Flash/Actionscript. It is important that the embedded language interpreter run natively in the environment it is embedded into. For example, it cannot load any external C libraries (i.e. python, neko).
Does such a thing exist for these two languages? Perhaps there is some minimal interpreter that could be easily ported to both?
I am trying to learn JavaScript and I am wondering whether JavaScript has a event listener just like ActionScript's ENTER_FRAME. Basically, I want this event listener to listen "all the time" not just wait for any particular instance (mouse click, keyboard event) of event.
I am having trouble using a custom event in flex. I need to dispatch an event from inside two nested components and receive it in the main application file. The basic set up is a main application file importing a custom "gallery" component.
If I have a Global Variable Globalvars.vars.noLoaded which is in many classes How do I create an event where i detect to see if it reaches a certain number.
The app I want to build is an interactive map for a site I'm designing. In a nut shell, students looking to enter an exchange program should be able to use the map-image (as in, an actual 'map of the world') to preview possible destinations (I've attached an image of the two basic states to clarify).
After an introductory animation, I want a mouse-over to trigger a function that populates the map-image with a series of buttons. I need the buttons to be distributed according to information in an XML file (ie. x/y coords, some information text, and an animation to load upon being clicked). I want each button to call a mouse-over function that loads info data from an XML field and place it in a dynamic text field at the top. Then, I want each button, when clicked, to call a function that animates replacing the map-image with an image of the corresponding travel destination. Finally, I want a button on each image that will clear that image from the stage and call the function that populates the map so the process can start again.
I'm working out of a couple of books on AS3, but I'm a little hazy on how I ought to be constructing this thing. So here's the first place I've run aground: After the intro animation, I want the user to mouse-over the stage and have a second animation play (clearing away the introductory text), and I want the conclusion of the clearing animation to immediately call the map-populate function; but I don't want a mouse-over to have any effect until the introductory animation is finished. Is there an event dispatched automatically at the end of an animation? What is the event listener class?
I'm not sure if I should be storing each of these animations in an independent .fla file or if I should create them on all one timeline and have the program redirect to specific frames.
I know the difference between the two, but I never felt the need to use the bubbling feature. If I want to listen to an event from a deeply nested children, I always use the capture phase. Could someone explain to me why I should rather use bubbling, its advantages, and maybe show me a situation in which bubbling would be the only solution?
