ActionScript 2.0 :: Mask - Remove Part Of Movie Clib When Over By Over_m

i made two movies clip movie named (masK_mc) and the other named (over_mc) what i need to do i need when i start drag with (over_mc) and when i moved over the (mask_mc) i need the part of mask_m which moved over by (over_mc) removed and show the bacground of (mask_mc) i made the part of drag and over but i need to know how i can remove part of movie clib when i over by over_mc
I have a flash menu (125 px x 600 px) on the left of a webpage. It consists of (15) buttons each of them havin' a onMouseOver-->getURL. When the mouse enters the flash movie (that is the menu) there is a mask button that moves along the y axis and when you move to a button in the menu the mask moves to that point. When you click on it it opens the URL in your browser. Now the problem is that when you leave the flash movie (menu) I want the mask to go to the upper part of the movie (menu).How can I do that?
i have a green movie clib block with red movie clips/ you can drag freely the green square on the screen/ buy that the problem, i whant to make hit command who block the green square.can someone teach me how can i do it? i serch after tutorial but i can find only hit commands with keys and i dont know how to converting that to my scene..

i just copied this code from the source and experiments, just want to ask for help on how can i change this so that the scrolling of the contents is much faster.. also how can i change and remove the rectangle object and use the mask for scrolling in my movie
The background of the png images is transparent but is not actually transparent if I load the png with transparent background and add into a sprite. The transparent part also can receive the mouse event so I wanna know how can I remove these pixels?

I have a flash movie in which I've created something that functions similarly to a calculator. When the user clicks a button, depending which button was pressed and in which order, a series of movie clips is displayed from left to right in specific positions, using addChild. I have a button on the calculator which I would like to have function similarly to a 'clear' button on a real calculator. When clicked, it would remove only the movie clips that were displayed by clicking the calculator buttons. how I can remove only the movieclips that are part of the calculator display? Here are some

I've tried different variations of removeChild and removeChildAt, but either parts of the calculator are getting removed, or I remove the parts of the display one clip at a time instead of all together, or I get out of range errors. How do I target a certain range of movieclips to remove? Do I need to assign a specific range of levels when the new movieclips are added and then remove that range? It will be different number of clips and combination of clips every time.
I have made a Actions Script 3 code that fetches an image, does an addchild do it and adding a mask to it aswell.
Everything works fine, except the mask I've made is an animated MovieClip, and this MovieClip hides some spots where 2 or more objects inside that MovieClip overlaps each others.I haven't found how to remove this effect, so the mask is valid on overlaping aswell.[code]...
I realize this is a total newbie question, but it is driving me crazy. In Flash Professional I have a movie clip, say 1000px high and 50px wide. I have it contained within (under) a mask layer where the mask is 100px high and 50px wide. In my program I move the movie clip vertically and as expected it is masked such that I only see 100px vertically.
My question is: how do I remove the mask from my movie clip? When I debug inspect the movie clip in Flash Builder, its .mask property is null. But it is masked..
AS3 Movie clip does not have .setMask() method, but it has .mask property. What is the syntax to set a mask on movie clip A (mcA) using movie clip B (mcB) mith .mask parameter in AS3?

I'm using Adobe Flash CS4 for the first time to try and make an animation set to music (like the opening scene of an anime). I need to listen to specific portions of the song so that I can match the timing of my animations.
I know that you can press Enter and it'll Play, but I don't know how to start listening to the music at the frame I want. I also don't know how to stop the music once it starts playing.
I also know I can do Ctrl+Enter to Test Movie, but that always starts playing my animation from the very beginning.
I want to know how to watch/listen to a specific part of the animation, without having to play it stop to finish.
I have a .flv movie file that I purchased from Istockphoto.com. I have placed it in my Flash CS3 file, and it works fine. However, once it plays, it loops back to the beginning, and I would prefer to loop it at the last 5 seconds of frames, so that it doesn't replay the entire video. Can this be done with Flash actionscripting or do I need to somehow do it in a video editor? Which wouldn't be ideal, as it would make a much larger file size.
I wonder if it is possible to show only the top part of a movie for some scenes? I have set the movie size to 800x1200, but would only like to see the top 800x600 in the browser window for some scenes (the reason for this is that one scene might have very little content, while other scenes could have a lot). Is that possible? I guess that either it's impossible or it's dead simple...

I have a part of a movie that I want to make it scrollable. for example I have a square, and put it things (text fields)when it fills the square I want to make the square scroll. for example in this fla (test.fla)....in the 5th frame the 'hi' get's out of the square...and I want to scoll.
I'm using as2 and i'm making a photogallery. I have a preloader but its taking too long to load, so is there a way where i can pick how much i want it to be loaded before it starts so the viewer doesnt sit there forever? Is there a way to change the color of just part of a movie clip? For example, if you had a space ship composed of a movie clip that uses several colors and you would like to change the color of the just the nose of the space ship, is there a way to do that? That is to say can you replace one just the pixels of one color with the pixels of another color.
I essentially have some game pieces that I would like to change to different colors for different computer players without drawing all the pieces again for each of 10 different colors. But I don't want to change the color of an entire game piece--just part of it.
I would like to load the draggable menu externally into another SWF movie. I have my main movie (main.swf) and the draggable menu movie (draggable.swf). I can get the draggable.swf to load into the main.swf, however, I can't seem to figure out how to get the external draggable.swf to work within the main.swf. Once it's loaded, it is totally static
