I have coded it in a way that once the user clicks on one of the images, another movie clip is shown (from the library).This is okay, but I would also like that once the user clicks on the new Movie Clip this disappears.I guess it is necessary to know if the new movie clip is on the scene or not, since it doesn't show up until the user clicks on another already shown image. I guess this is important since we need to declare the variable and the way we do it depends on its being on the scene or not.So I have tried something like this:

Cannot Remove Internal Frames Of File

I am a high school student who has an assignment to develop a Flash Video.  My goal is to make a really cool Flash Video by downloading a Youtube video of paintballers and then converting their images to a line drawing and then animating the line drawing.  Well the problem is that after I've imported the FLV into Flash CS5 I find it impossible to edit out an internal chunk of the video.  Every time I try to remove a chunk of the video, it ONLY DELETES A SECTION FROM THE END OF THE VIDEO!

Now, it should be a simple process, select the chunk, Edit->Timeline->Remove Frames

It seems so obvious that I don't mean to delete the END of the video, I mean to delete the highlighted section.  What's the point of highlighting a section if you're just going to delete "X" amount of frames on the end?  Shouldn't this feature be called, "Delete frames from end of video"?

I have a slideshow that you can click to go to various frames with different images. I'm doing this with a loader. Problem is, once you click on a button and the image loads, the image stays there when you go to a different frame and different image. I've tried removing the child at the beginning of a new frame, but that doesn't seem kosher. I know this code is not the cleanest it could be, but bear with me.

Before I started armaturing, I added 200 frames, but I only needed 67.. Now I cannot remove the frames in front of the armatured layer! I can't delete, and if I push it backwards it all just compromises and goes really quick. I cannot move poses, nor can I cut/copy them.

when i apply this code to a movieclip

it works.but when this code applies

box.onEnterFrame = function(){

};

it wont work. i dont want to code on the main symbols, i want to put all the code in frames.

I have a button that I want to work on multiple frames. Currently, I have a scene that automatically starts to play when the playhead enters the first frame (no stop command). I have an event listener in the first frame that listens for a click. After the click the user is supposed to go to another scene.

The problem is that the button is not working. I am assuming that the code in the first frame only applies to the first frame and I need to add additional code that applies as the playhead is playing across the multiple frames.

On the stage, I have a movie clip called mc which contains 20 frames.I have put mc.stop(); on frame1 of the main timeline, this puts a stop action in frame1 of mc.Now I want to put a stop(); action on frame10 of mc using the main time line where all my code is.
 
The code fl.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline().layers[0].frames[0].actionScript = 'stop();'; does seem to work and I don't know what to import.There also a code method addFrameScript(0, customFunction); but it only crashes flash player.

I mean, yes *.as file is pretty easy to track and modify. But there are a lot of stuff that could be done using frames.

I have a movieclip in which I show pictures. Each picture was 1 frame long, so my button (mc) to go ahead to the next picture had the following script:

}

Now I've changed the timeline so that each picture is 24 frames long. By reading some posts I've found this code:

gotoAndStop(_currentframe+5);

Still I don't manage to go ahead 24 frames. Does anyone know how I can change the first code to go ahead 24 frames, or even better, to the next keyframe?

I have a page which has an intro animation which lasts 314 frames and finishes with a button. When you click the button it takes you to a separate html page with a scrolling photogallery. When I click the 'back' button in the photogallery it takes me back to the first html page with the intro animation.

How do I make sure that when I click the back button it skips the first 314 frames (bearing in mind I am returning from a separate html page)?

Is it possible to unload, or remove a code in an action layer after it has been loaded and run in a timeline.

What I'm trying to accomplish is twofold, one, I'm trying to reload a code on a particular frame like it is on frame one, without playing the entire swf from frame one, and two I would like to possibly be able to change a mouse event on the same button from one thing to another along a timeline, which would require the initial function be removed so it does not conflict/error with the other event.

This seems a very basic question, but googled for long time... I have a movie clip, at Frame 3 there is only one line of code: stop(); My question is: how can I add it through AS? The instance name is my_mc, more specific, how to refer to the Frame 3 of my_mc?

Another question is the same. The movie clip has two frames, frame 1 is blank, at frame 2 there is a button. After attachMovie, get my_mc, trace my_mc, it is there, trace my_mc.my_button, it says undefined. How can I refer to my_button at frame 2? Then I can define onRollOver function for it.

I'm currently using a flash template for my online portfolio, but I've noticed that if you right click anywhere, it brings up the standard flash right-click menu with the following items:

Settings
Global Settings
About Flash Player 10

But directly above is a separate menu item that says "Made by JWD" and that takes you to a different website if you click it. I have the .fla file for the gallery - can I remove this menu item?
