i'm having trouble finding the answer to a simple (I hope) question. I made a flash banner and have successfully added an action that will loop it 3 times, stopping on the last frame. Here is the code I entered in a separate action layer:
INSERTED A KEYFRAME IN FRAME 1: if (numberOfTimesToLoop<3) { gotoAndPlay(1); numberOfTimesToLoop++;
I have a banner with 4 MCs in it. Right now it starts automatically and loops endlessly. I would like the animation to play through 2 times, jump to frame 60 of the first MC and stop.
The situation is as follows:I'm using Action Script 2.0 --- I'm obligated to in the course I'm attending.I have a main timeline that has 3 frames. On the 2nd frame I have a movieclip named mc_nbr. On the 3rd frame I have a button "voltar" that when pressed I want it to "Go and Stop/Play" at frame 3 of the movieclip (that is embedded on frame 2 of the main timeline).
I used the folowing code for the button btn_voltar: on (press) {
I'm using Flash CS4 with AS3. I'm building a website for a friend the problem I have. When a user clicks on a button I want it to play a movie clip then stop at a specfic frame. I want all the buttons to play the same movieclip but go to a different frame.
The current actionscript I am using is located on frame 1 is: home_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, homebuttonClicked); function homebuttonClicked(event:MouseEvent):void{ gotoAndStop(0) }about_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, aboutbuttonClicked); function aboutbuttonClicked(event:MouseEvent):void { gotoAndStop("aboutme") [Code] .....
This allows me to navigate to the right frame but does not play for obvious reasons, if I use the gotoAndPlay function its carries on playing to the end of the movie.
how do i export specific frames not all frame. ex: if flash has 1 to 200 frames. here i want to export 51 to 150 frames as a movie. if there is any command or plugin to export movie like this.
I am currently in the middle of making a "sniping" flash game. In the first level there are a series of moving targets which are also movie clips. Inside the movie clip there is a 7 frame animation of the target exploding. Inside that is a tween of the target moving up and down. And inside that there is a plain old button.
What I want to happen is when you click on the moving target it explodes and brings you to a new frame of the main timeline. (ex. Main Timeline frame #27) But I'm pretty sure it thinks I was to play the seven frame animation of it exploding and then go to frame 27 inside the movie clip, rather then frame 27 on the main timeline.
Here's what my AS looks like on the target (ActionScript 2.0 is what I'm using.)
on (press) { play(); } on (release){ gotoAndStop(27)}
So how do I make it explode and then take me to frame 27 on the main timeline?
Im using the flvplayback to put up a video in my swf. in my swf i also have several buttons. the thing i want to do is when i for example click a button i want to start playing the movie from 5 seconds in it and then stop the movie at for example 10 seconds in it. even if the video is 20 seconds long i want to be able to stop it automatically at 10 seconds in the movie. the start and stop should be controlled from the button..
i know how to start the movie at a specific time but i dont know how to stop it at a specific time.
I've got a simple flash-based .exe that I'd like to load and play a move between a certain time of day. For example, the loaded movie should play everyday between noon-1pm and 2am-3am. The movie should then unload and go back to the original movie at the end of each time period. How and the world do I write the script for this?
I have a question about movie clips. I have about 20 MC-s in my flash. Is it possible for me to duplicate one of them multiple times in specific location? I mean if I have button that says "DOG" and I press it, then new dog appears on screen. And I need to do it for like ten times or so
how to get a movie clip to loop a specific number of times in Flash? I know how to stop a movie clip from looping by using the this.stop (); command by placing the command in a separate Action Script layer, in a keyframe, inside of the movie clip's timeline. This allows the movie clip to play through once and then stop. But I need for the movie clip to loop more than once, maybe 2 or 3 times, and then go back to the main timeline.
Also, is it possible to place a pause (I'm guessing, maybe by using a timer of some type?) between the loops, so that the movie will pause a couple of seconds before it loops again and then stop? Please note I do not need the movie clip to stop when there's an event like a rollover or anything. I just need it to play a couple of times, pause between plays and then stop and go back to the main timeline.

Is there a fucntion what will play a timeline two times and after it stops ?from frame 1 to 15 i want it to play two times and stop after. I dont want to duplicate timeline
I'm stumped on getting my coding movie consisting only of tweens to just play 3 times and stop on last frame. I'd also like it to delay and stay on last frame about 10 seconds and/or delay before playing the first frame about 2 seconds. that stuff i do now with timer events- I set both for the interval (100000 and 2000) and repeat is set to one for each, with a timer on the last and first frames. (not sure if that's the best way to do that)
I've been looking at other posts and trying to cobble this together, but am lost. I have a movie I need to play from frames 1-45 five times then continue from frame 50 to frame 70 and stop. on frame one I have the following script (in a layer for actions)
if (numberOfTimesToLoop<5) { gotoAndPlay(1); numberOfTimesToLoop++; } else { gotoAndPlay(50);
Anyways I have this movieclip that is only 60 frames long. In that 60 frames I just have a mask moving from frame 1 to frame 60. I want the movieclip to play and loop 3 times then on the 3rd time stop at frame 60.
I have been messing with the do ... while script, but havent gotten anything to work
I have been trying to find the answer to this for a while now. here is what I have tried so far.First frame is var loops = 0 then I dropped this on the frame i want it to stop on after 3 loops, but it continues to loop.if (loops == 3) {stop();}All I want it to do is loop three times and stop on say frame 119 after the 3 loops.
I learned to play a movieclip a specified number of times then stop. I need to stop an entire .fla (or, it may become a scene, but for now it's the only content) after it loops TWO times only.The .fla has one frame containing graphics and text on separate layers and 4 movieclips on different layers. The movieclips have no actionscript in them right now. They are essentially tweens over staggered times.
In fact, right now there's no actionscript anywhere in this particular .fla.How can I play it two times then stop. Also, I need to be able to accomodate further stuff after this.. that is, the movie is not yet been completed..it was just a start, but it's only this part that *is* completed I need to loop twice.
I just got Flash CS3. I'm trying to get my main timeline to stop in the begining, on button press to play and at the end stop again. In AS2, you would just put stop(); on the first keyframe and stop(); on the last key frame and program your buttons accordingly.
The stop(); does not work!!!! It's driving me crazy. What am I missing? I've gone through the tutorials in Flash and they don't work either.Also, if you have MovieClip that contains an animation and you don't want the movie clip to be on a continuous loop how do you stop it from playing. In AS2, I would put a stop(); on the last keyframe of the movieclip's animation. This also does not work in AS3.
I have a boxer class that I would like to be able to dispatch a custom event out of at different times so the main timeline can pick it up and do something. It is at the end of different things. ie. movieclip finished playing. So far when I try to dispatchEvent it says I can't with error 1061.
