Jan 25, 2012I am trying to create a project where I have a homemade button with a label component inside converted to a MovieClip. I have added an event listener, which triggers successfully when I move into the MovieClip, but retriggers when I move into the label within the MovieClip. Is there anyway to tell it to stop retriggering and act as a single MovieClip, or would it be simpler to break down and just try to customize the Button component?
Here is a sample of what I'm trying to do:

Notice how it thinks I mouseOut of btBox when the mouse went over the label, and went back to the btBox after I left the Label.

Json :: Flash - No Feed When Running On DoubleClick Server?
Feb 23, 2012I have a Flash Ad which makes use of a JSON feed. The Flash file is hosted within oubleClick Studio.The call works perfectly locally but when I upload it to DC Studio the load Event.COMPLETE does not file neither do any IOErrors which is leaving me with no feed and no errors!I have tried making use of the StudioLoader which is supplied by DC which returns that the file is an unrecognised format. Would it be that DC just wont read JSON at all?

Oct 29, 2009I'm trying to modify the text of a Label component that I already placed on the stage in as3. I'm having trouble getting the text to change though, it just stays the same based on the initial text I typed in. I'd like to eventually have the label contents change dynamically. When I compile the swf, the two labels have the original value I gave them when I put them on the stage, not the startDate and endDate values.

Dec 13, 2009Basically, I'm having trouble with depths causing components to display on top of some combobox drop-downs. So basically I made a listener that will listen for focusIn and swap the depth of the combobox to the next highest to bring it to the front when the user clicks on it. No, rather than write a line to apply this listener to each combobox on the stage, is there a way to apply it to the combobox component in general, so it will effect all instances of the combobox component?

MySWF loads without problem. It doesn't really returns the class mySWF so I wonder if this is really the right syntax. And actually I don't receive anything. I am of course dispatching custom event from mySWF. Flash seems really a nightmare to cope with custom events in practice compared to other platforms.
